I think Wesley is right in that it was something for which he was feeling guilt, and him being proven guilty by the jump in the record player made the burden too hard to bear. Well, it's a theory at least.

Iun was right. The man is a DJ. He works at the radio station that he was listening to when the track skipped. He had just killed his wife that morning and wasn't at work. He had recorded the morning show in preparation for the kill, but hearing the track skip makes him realise that his alibi has fallen through so he decides to kill himself knowing that its all over for him anyway.

I have to say, you got that very quickly man. You big cheat! :o

Couldn't it have jumped anyway, even if he was there?

I guess so, but ordinarily a DJ will apologise after the track if that happens and this guy clearly didn't as it was a rushed, fake airing. Either way, it would raise questions.

But you have to prove 'beyond reasonable doubt' to find someone guilty so if that's the only thing that might give him away, I'd say he has a pretty sold case.

I'm just messing, I just find those riddles a bit silly. :heh:

Anything that is as big as you but weighs less.

In reality I'm going to stick with my standard response despite the fact it's wrong in this case and say it's your shadow?

You're correct.

More a logic puzzle here.

You have three cards laid out:

To the right of a king there's a queen or two queens.

To the left of a queen there is a queen or two queens.

To the left of a heart is a spade or two spades.

To the right of a spade is a spade or two spades.

What are the three cards?

The first clue implies

- x K Q

which implies x is Q

OR

- K Q x

but there must be a queen on the left of the queen, therefore x is Q.

Or, indeed there may not be a King at all, x Q Q, Q x Q, Q Q Q.

So either there is a King and 2 Queens, 2 Queens and another card. Therefore, you can only be certain two of the cards are queens, and the other could be anything, but probs is a king.

And the suit combination must be S H S or S S H.

/ That might be wrong and I'm too bored to figure out the rest.
