flameboy Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 For me 2009 has been pretty bad on the wii front, I've just had nothing I've wanted to buy...bought Punchout and House of the Dead:Overkill and thats about it for new stuff...know theres stuff I've missed out on but felt so unmotivated by the wii as a system this last year.
Daft Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Because you own multiple systems I doubt that'll change next year tbh. The first half alone looks insane.
Jonnas Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Aww, man... Why are all the awesome releases on the Wii? I barely have any opportunity to play that anymore, while the DS is always available. Anyway, this line-up is more than enough for me. Hopefully I'll have time to play all this, but considering what I still have in line... Anyway, I look forward to: Silent Hill Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Sin & Punishment 2 Tales of Graces Metroid: Other M Super Mario Galaxy 2 Arc Rise Fantasia FFCC: Crystal Bearers Not to mention the DS games...
Hero-of-Time Posted January 2, 2010 Author Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) I will add this for those of you who have the ability to play imports and to upset darksnowman. Edited January 2, 2010 by Hero-of-Time
mcj metroid Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 doesnt look like a half bad line up actually. I'd take away a few that might be delayed for the year after but it's already better than last year.
darksnowman Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I will add this for those of you who have the ability to play imports and to upset darksnowman. I was gonna mention Shiren in my post at the start of this thread but thought better of it. There's practically zero chance of the Wii one making it over here, is there? I've read some things about it since it came out in Japan and it sounds really promising too.
STOOPIDDITTIES Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 So the plan for me this year is to complete all my games in time for Fragile's release and spend the rest of year drooling over that. Maybe I'll find the time to play it too.

Wesley Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I'm really, really, really looking forward to Epic Mickey because of the designer involved. But nothing else really interests me that much... A lot of Japanese stuff...
Strange Cookie Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 2009 has indeed been a good year for Wii. So roll on 2010! I've got my eyes on... Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Tatsunoko vs Capcom Sin & Punishment 2 Red Steel 2 FFCC: Crystal Bearers Endless Ocean 2 Epic Mickey (if it lives up to it's potential) No More Heroes 2 Trauma Team Monster Hunter Tri Fragile Dreams I'm not sure yet about Metroid: Other M. It's still too early to draw conclusions, but I'm sceptical about Team Ninja's involvment. We've had enough Primes, so a new direction is to be applauded (escpecially if it's a Super Metroid-direction), but I hope hope TN keept things... subtle and subdued. Guess I'll have to wait and see how things unfold. The Grinder has potential, but High Voltage has to earn my trust first after The Conduit. Not buying into the hype a second time.
Ashley Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I'm really, really, really looking forward to Epic Mickey because of the designer involved. But nothing else really interests me that much... A lot of Japanese stuff... Yeah Epic Mickey and SMG2 (Sarah Michelle Gellar 2...?) will probably be all I buy. (you meant designer and composer though right? RIGHT!?!)
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 2009 has indeed been a good year for Wii. So roll on 2010! See, that's funny, because I've seen a lot of people mention it's been a quiet year for the Wii. It really is down to each person. Sometimes I look at a release list and think 5 games I want, am I going to get time to afford and play them all?! I look at that release list and think "woo, Silent Hill, Galaxy 2, Metroid, Red Steel 2, Sin and Punishment, No More Heroes and maybe Epic Micky....shit, I'm probably not going to get them all."
LostOverThere Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 2009 was a strange year. We saw many good releases, but barely any brilliant releases. Granted, we've had the likes of Muramasa, Madworld, Extraction, etc. but we didn't manage to see anything like Galaxy or Brawl, which to me is what made this year feel a little empty.
Hero-of-Time Posted January 5, 2010 Author Posted January 5, 2010 I think the Wii had plenty of fantastic games in 09 ( look at first post ) but if it's not an established franchise or made by Nintendo people seem to just disregard them. Their loss I guess.
Hero-of-Time Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 I dunno how solid this info is but it looks like we may be getting Zelda this year after all. Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata sat down with the Asahi Shimbun for an interview on the 5th and provided lots of hints at upcoming plans for the Wii, DS, and DS's successor. That's right, DS's successor. Iwata told the paper that high resolution image output and a sensor that can capture player's movements would be requirements for the followup system. However, he refused to comment on a release time frame, noting only, "DS saw its highest sales in North America in 2009." Iwata appears to be keen on pushing the current DS even further. He expressed interest in expanding the current DS at Mac program to other shops. This program allows McDonalds patrons to connect online with their DS for special contents and demos. Regarding the Wii, Iwata said that the marketplace "has started to accelerate again." This appears to be in direct contrast to his comments last year that the Wii market had slowed. For the Wii's year-end sales season, he said "In North American and Japan, we recorded the highest system sales for the past three years." Iwata also made mention of two major pieces of the company's Wii strategy: the Vitality Sensor peripheral and the next Zelda game. The company plans on announcing games for the Vitality Sensor in July, with aim of a release as soon as possible. Regarding Zelda, the company will be releasing the much anticipated sequel before the end of this year. http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/01/06/iwata_asahi_interview/
Owen Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Great news, in all honesty i think Nintendo should just go for it this year and release as much software as possible, if they release Super mario galaxy 2, Zelda Wii 2, Metroid: M and all other software like that Vitality Sensor 2010 is shaping up to be the best year for Wii, lets hope 'nothing' is delayed, but chances are one or two of em won't make it.
killer kirby Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 ....Jesus, I am scared to see what the rest of the year will be like after Q1 this year
LostOverThere Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) Damn it, I just posted this news in the Zelda thread. I never get the scoop. One day maybe...one day... D: Edited January 6, 2010 by LostOverThere Automerged Doublepost
Ike Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Just a rumor at the moment, but Endless Ocean in February Sin and Punishment is out April and Mario Galaxy 2 in August. Source Endless Ocean is out in February so that's 1 out of 3 dates right (so far).
Dante Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Time for update the op also IGN has post there version.
Hero-of-Time Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 Where did IGN get that MH3 date from? They have it down for April 6th which is a Tuesday. So either this is the US release date or IGN are just randomly throwing dates around. How dare you get my hopes up, IGN!
