MoogleViper Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Ok so I'm going to a fancy dress party in less than a month. The theme is by the sea or over the sky. Now I'd like something that's quite funny/original but isn't going to be way too hard to pull off or really expensive. I'm stumped for idea bar the usual boring ones. So I've come to ask you wonderful people for ideas and advice on achieving said ideas. Muchos thanks in advance.
Beast Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Ariel from the Little Mermaid, lmfao! In seriousness....uh....SpongeBob or Patrick? Yes, I'm shit at thinking of costume ideas
Guest Stefkov Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Go as Gundam, they can fly... I think.
Dog-amoto Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I went to a party a while ago as General Zod from Superman II (he flies) Was an easy costume to do, just got a black jumpsuit and put gaffer tape on the lapels. Grew a beard for it as well, that's dedication, but you could always get a false one.
EEVILMURRAY Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Pretty much any superhero who can fly is a fine suggestion. Go as Big Bird, even though I've never seen him fly.
Cube Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 If you need any fabric to make it I'll see if I can find/get you an offer. I may be able to rob an usable offcut.
Ashley Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Go as Jayseven. He comes from Brighton which is by the sea.
EEVILMURRAY Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Go as Jayseven. He comes from Brighton which is by the sea. And he feels like flying when he's high* *He might feel like he's underground. I can't confirm.
Goafer Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Ooh ooh, this saves me from starting up exactly the same topic. The only difference is that I need ideas for a "Wild West" themed party. Things that are under the sea that would make an ace costume: Troy Tempest (Stingray) The Titanic Oil (would require some serious blacking up) Big Daddy from Bioshock Little Sister from Bioshock (shouldn't that be little daughter?) And of course:
EEVILMURRAY Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I also recommend making some Jiggys to throw around.
Serebii Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 A FLYING PIRATE! It's so awesome I'm surprised nobody has thought of it...a pirate with wings!
Goafer Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 A FLYING PIRATE! It's so awesome I'm surprised nobody has thought of it...a pirate with wings! Do it. Do it now.
Iun Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Smother yourself in chocolate and go as a Penguin.
Nolan Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Light blue slacks, white dress shirt or jacket, with a large yellow carnation. Bam, you're the cloudy sky with the sun peeking through. Bonus would be brown and green shoes as the ground and a black hat as space.
EEVILMURRAY Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 pink haired lazytown girl. If you need the sea angle. For the sky angle. Fuck it, any of the Star Fox/Wolf Team.
