nightwolf Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 London, damn you! oi fool manchester meet
ShadowV7 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 It can be anywhere aslong as it's easy to get too I just won't know where the hell i'm going otherwise, and i'll a meet up at somepoint. Be ace if there was a meet at the same time I go to London with some friends though. Would be funny to go and ditch them.
jayseven Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 I'd love a Brighton meet, perhaps next summer? Plenty of time to prepare Doesn't have to be just one at a time! Next time for a meet is probably either xmas hols or easter break, I suppose. I doubt I'll be able to attend any at either time, though But yeah - a manchester meet was an idea thrown around a lot. Still in the dirty north, mind you.
Gentleben Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 If A brighton meet would also be quite interesting, apprently brighton is great. While brighton is fun I don't think it's fair on the people that have to travel from the far North/Ireland. At least with places like London it's a captial and has great transport links. I think we should poll it/consider more middle of the road locations.
ShadowV7 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I guess a poll of all the locations that's easy to get too will be handy for organising another meet. Be easy on the outsiders who don't live in England

Like I've said before; there doesn't have to be ONE meet planned. No single location is ever going to be perfect. There was a london meet and people complained it was too far south - a sheffield one and it was too north. Polls aren't going to solve anything as this isn't a democracy! I'm going to say "hey, wanna come to brighton on this date?" which doesn't mean there won't be a london meet, or a manchester one, or a paris one, or a glasgow one.
ReZourceman Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 *Cough* LONDON *Cough* Cos Its easy to get to, and Im scared to go elsewhere.
Eenuh Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I'd go to London, Paris or even Brighton really. As long as I have a place to stay and I can manage to fit it in with my busy school schedule. =) Oh and money of course.
conzer16 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 How bout a dublin meet for anyone about this fair isle?
ReZourceman Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I say the furthest person to come is "guest of honour"
Guest bluey Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I say the furthest person to come is "guest of honour" SCORE!!!
Guest Jordan Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 If you do one next summer, i'll sure as hell be there. With the LB.
ReZourceman Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 If you do one next summer, i'll sure as hell be there. With the LB. Heh, if you said CJ instead of LB then we could have made jokes that you said cum jar. LOLZ!
Mundi Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I´d like to show up at a meet next summer, just as long it isn´t at a location that is annoying to get to.
Gizmo Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Someone point out which one is darksnowman in those pictures posted. I need to know what he looks like.
ShadowV7 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I think he's the guy in the blue top next to raining.
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Nottingham dammit, it's in "da Midlandz." Someone point out which one is darksnowman in those pictures posted. I need to know what he looks like. He's the one giving the camera some pr0 pointing action.
Ganepark32 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 @ Eevil - that's good enough reason not to go to Nottingham Personally, as I've said, I'd probably go with Manchester as it's easy enough for me to get down to either by train or plane. Either that or y'all come up to Scotland and see what a glorious nation it is
Strider Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Nottingham dammit, it's in "da Midlandz." Yeh, Nottingham = win (Well it isn't, but it is close) Actually what would there be to do in Nottingham? All i can think of are shopping centres and Warhammer World.
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Well technically by Nottingham University there's a nice grassy/foresty area which we call Highfields. It's not as glorious as the botanical gardens, but could offer some running delights. Sadly it's semi outta the way.
Mr_Odwin Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 There's Wollaton Dear Park - but that's a fair trek from train stations and stuff.

To be fair you'd have to whack a meet in the middle of the country, which london isn't so. There's going to be more than enough meets anyway, so if a person can't get to one they can always ask for another which is more accessible.
jayseven Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Next meet-up confirmed! In my pants. Now. lol.
Ganepark32 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 ^ Are you extending an invite to us to a pants party? If so, I'd love to come but I can't. Lamp is really busting my chops to do the chores.
Dante Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Dante; not as weird as I thought he would be! He humoured me on the walk back to the station enough to let me talk shit to him for about half an hour. I must say you're shorter than I thought you'd be! Thanks Jay. I didnt mind you talking to me as we walk to the station. Your great person to talk to.
