Mundi Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 SO RONELY! Personally i hate listening to people talk about how great being in a relationship
Guest Jordan Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 ITS GREAT BEING IN RELATIONSHIPS MUNDI. </Intentional caps = win!>
Eddage Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I'm quite dependant so it doesn't bother me too much, although there are times when I feel like a bit of companionship would be nice!
Jamba Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 SO RONELY! Personally i hate listening to people talk about how great being in a relation°is That bit does indeed suck. I was single fairly recently and I found the hardest thing was not having someone who knew you that well. I just felt disconnected for a long time. It's like going from a society with the internet and mobiles and telephones and then suddenly being plunged into a place with nothing. No way to communicate or keep in touch. It's that process of shutting yourself back up really. But yeah... winge away the rest of yas. Maybe Jordan and I should start a couples thread....
Retro_Link Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I'm quite dependant so it doesn't bother me too much, although there are times when I feel like a bit of companionship would be nice!I'm here for ya man! [Gives Eddage manly slap on the back]
killthenet Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I like that it frees me up to speak to people like that Polish girl last night. I don't like that I have to be drunk to speak to people like that Polish girl last night.
Guest Jordan Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Maybe Jordan and I should start a couples thread.... ...We're a couple?
Jamba Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 ...We're a couple? Only when I'm in Shetland. I'll fake sending Letty on a some kind of free holiday... you'll see.
Mundi Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 ITS GREAT BEING IN RELATIONSHIPS MUNDI. </Intentional caps = win!> Don´t make me come over there! That bit does indeed suck. I was single fairly recently and I found the hardest thing was not having someone who knew you that well. I just felt disconnected for a long time. It's like going from a society with the internet and mobiles and telephones and then suddenly being plunged into a place with nothing. No way to communicate or keep in touch. Pretty well put. I´ve been wanting to get in a relationship for quite a while but for someone as socially awkward as me it´s kinda hard :/
Jamba Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I´ve been wanting to get in a relationship for quite a while but for someone as socially awkward as me it´s kinda hard :/ So whats the happy-haps? What about you is socially awkward?
Mundi Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I always wait until someone else acts first because i think i´m going to screw up big-time. I´m trying to fix that with mixed results
Jamba Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I always wait until someone else acts first because i think i´m going to screw up big-time. I´m trying to fix that with mixed results Mixed results? That sounds worrying.... TBH, I've found that if two people are interested in each other then it will happen pretty naturally so if its not then dont force it. The asking out bit I find tends to be more of a case of a formality. Then again all of this relates to how you meet people. That is mostly dependent on if you work full time or at school/uni etc. See if you work at afull time job, asking someone out is really just an opportunity to get to know them.
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Nice one for making the thread. Well, as I mentioned in the image gallery, being single has its upsides. The freedom is great, to be able to do whatever you want, and however you want to do it, without having somebody pissed off at you, or angry. It means you can talk to whoever you want without making somebody feel jealous either. It's nice to have that, to feel that you are in control of your own life, whereas in a couple you have to think of the two of you. It can be a bit of a hindrance sometimes. What I miss though: Seeing, and doing all these cool things, and not having anybody to share it with. You can tell your friends, sure...but you don't have that same connection. That's what I miss the most. Having somebody there to get as excited as you are about something, the in-jokes that only you two will ever totally understand, and things like that.
Jamba Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I'll never be single. Supply and demand, it's a bitch isn't it?
rokhed00 Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Supply and demand, it's a bitch isn't it? Not for me, I'm always in demand and only supply when I feel like it.

Roostophe Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I had a taste of what it was like to be in a relationship a few years ago, and I sure as feck would like a bit more of that cake. I've grown tired of being single, I need to get out and find myself a girl... ...but no-one takes me SELIOUSRY...
Haden Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 God I hate singles people come up to bars and bring them to me all the time and i look at it and im like what the hell is this I didnt pay you to bring me that. Then im like well I will give them the benifit of the doubt and taste a bit and its like jesus christ it really is a single isnt it you pathetic lowlife scum. Go back to the bar and get me a double! Im sorry that sounded funny in my head. Anywayyyyy yeh good points and bad points I guess like Flinky I miss sharing stuff with someone as I dont talk to my guy friends about as much stuff I do with a gf so its a bit odd now not having anyone to tell where I bury the bodies and such.
Charlie Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 God I hate singles people come up to bars and bring them to me all the time and i look at it and im like what the hell is this I didnt pay you to bring me that. Im sorry that sounded funny in my head. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.... not. I suppose you could say I'm stuck in the friendzone, but it's a little bit more than that. We're really really really good friends, I really like her and she says she likes me too. But, she's really busy with school work. If she doesn't get into Glasgow uni which is her first choice I'll never see her again (apart from holidays) so I'm stuck in two minds about what I want to do. It really is as if we're going out, we seem to do everything boyfriends and girlfriends do apart from the physical side, which sucks obviously. I do love having someone to talk to whenever I want to though.
AshMat Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I am so goddamn bored of being single now. My problem is i've had a fair few girlfriends, but thrown them away for pointless reasons though.
or else you will DIE Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I'm sick of there being so many whores around these days. Anybody remember the word "commitment"?
Mr_Odwin Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I married my lovely wife in August 2002 and before that we'd been going out since February 2000. Before that I remember being a bit lonely - friends are good, but girlfriends bring an entirely new level (for me at least).
gaggle64 Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Sometimes I like to go for long walks, and I almost enjoy the solitude with just me and my thoughts. Then I realise it's 3am and I'm still sat on a park bench not sure what to do with myself. That's where the madness starts to set in.
