The demo doesnt show much of the game at all. The platform for games tagline is an apt one.

Also floaty controls are perhaps one of the weakest generic criticisms for games this generation.

But I feel floaty co trols does define the floaty jump that the game has what other term would you use?

My problem would be using floaty controls as a criticism when its not, its just the control style that they decided to use for the game.

Ok would a better description be inprecise then? Media Molecule chose a floaty jump as opposed to a rigid jump but it's a little inprecise. Im not picking a fight just think there is something off with the jump not helped by the shifting between 3 planes and wonder if floaty is more a mechanics choice (which I accept look at the very deliberate form of jumping that team meat picked for super meatboy) then what word should we use?

Surely if it's one of the main reasons I disliked the game, then (to me at least) it is a pretty fair criticism.

Although I don't get the "generic complaint" comment. I don't think I've played another game this generation where it felt so odd. The closest would probably be Halo.

Far Cry 2 free? Urrrm, yes please

Shiiiieeet boy, after buying that game I gave up after 10 minutes.

Fucking buggy trash.

Well, was on the PC anyway.

Glad I'm not the only one. I mean I love being able to try out games that I'd never usually buy but I end up just not giving them the time of day. I've lost count of the games I played for 10/15 minutes and thought I'd come back to and just not.

Now that I've stopped buying games relentlessly I'm able to appreciate what I have already. I'm playing ME2 again and actually enjoying it a lot more. Uncharted 3 online keeps on giving. Even started making ym way through Dead Nations again and am loving it more than I did the first time round. Being spoiled for choice has ruined too many games for me.

LoveFilm can suck a fat one.

I found renting games made me appreciate them way less.

Thats why I stopped renting them as well

I'd second all of this...Now I'm on a economy drive and such I've found I've appreciated games much more and gone back and played older games that I never touched (well except for far cry 2) reward 18 months or summit and I was renting and buying games galore and not enjoying them as much.

I just went on a buying spree of cheap titles post xmas and other than Mass Effect 3 have no plans to buy anything new for the first half of this year.

Power to you Nicholas, but giving FarCry 2 a second chance is of zero worth because it's so fucking pitiful. I don't actually understand what its multiplayer team thought it was doing. Well, the whole of Ubisoft Montreal for that matter.

Finished Resistance 3 in co-op the other day, I'm not sure I can think of a better FPS campaign this generation. While not saying a whole lot, it really is paced very well and the zombie-like Grim battles make for top notch entertainment. Interested to see the new horde mode they've released as DLC.

Anybody played Rayman Origins? Really want to get that on the cheap, lowest I've seen is £15 though. I'm sure it's worth it. However, monies.

Give the demo a try. I've been considering it for a while now but yet to pick it up. It does get hard in patches and I was playing with my girlfriend who was struggling as a result although helpfully it does have a similar bubble system to New Super Mario Bros Wii. Also goes without saying how stunning the graphics are looks incredible. I ended up getting Sonic Generations when it was £8.99 on play instead but if I hadn't I would have picked Rayman I reckon.

Also yeah interested in the horde mode for R3 seem as for the most part I found the multiplayer disappointing.

I want to buy one of the FF games for £3.99 but I can't seem to do so without adding a minimum of £5 to my 'wallet'. Is it really not possible or am I just not looking properly?

'Fraid it's not possible. You can pay the exact amount for anything over £5, but that's the minimum charge.

Whilst I understand why such a thing exists — they don't want service charges to eat into small purchases, like themes or Home items — you'd think they could set the bar a bit lower given the standard pricing of PSOne games and minis. I suppose they have about as much reason to do so as Microsoft have to let you buy 400 points at a time; it's in their interests for you to be left with a remainder.

Hopefully the limit will be removed. Nintendo have done away with it on the eShop and I suspect, if Microsoft do get rid of Microsoft Points (as per rumours), they'll follow suit.

Damn. Looks like I won't be getting a PS3 yet as my order with Choices has been cancelled :(

If you're still looking for a cheap PS3 Morrisons have apparently dropped their console prices. The 160GB PS3 is supposed to be going for £150.

But I was meant to pay £10 less for twice the size...

I think I'll get one from CEX. After thinking I got a PS3 I traded in a load of old games and DVDs so I have about £60 of in store credit there.

Yes you can. If I remember right just proceed through to the checkout. It will ask you if you can to add the exact funds to your wallet. I do it all the time through the PSP and Media Go.
