AshMat Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 That's right, the new futurama "movie" is airing sometime in the next week, apparently in American theatres, i don't know about the UK. Anyway it's also already available if you look in the right places. Discuss awaaay!
Iun Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Futurama was funny sporadically, but too inconsistent to be worthy of the legacy of the Simpsons, or even come close to Family Guy. Too many in-jokes and too much internet humour meant that it was largely inaccessible.
Guest Jordan Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I am a huge fan of Futurama and it pains me to say this. A pre-release version is floating around on the net, if you look hard enough you'll find it. So don't bother PMing me. Its awful. The jokes aren't funny, the plot is confusing at best and annoying at others, you really start to hate some characters, it doesn't follow on from the final episode, the animation is all over the place in terms of quality and over all its really, really bad. I'm not joking. Anyone expecting quality of what was in the last few seasons before the 2 year gap is in for a shock.
Happenstance Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I totally disagree with Jordan, I thought Benders Big Score was brilliant and I encourage any Futurama fan to watch it. Spoken to a few other people who have watched it aswell and they also loved it.
Guest Jordan Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Well each to their own i guess. I went into watching it and i couldn't wait. I was just left so disappointed at the entire thing.
Nintendohnut Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Anyone have the link for the film online? I really want to watch it but can't find it. Clearly I don't know the right sites ;-)
ReZourceman Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 A pre-release version is floating around on the net, if you look hard enough you'll find it. So don't bother PMing me. Lol. Filllerrr...
Guest Jordan Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Yup, thats what i said. I said theres one out there, but i didn't exactly offer it.
gaggle64 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Though I'm not expecting Bender's Big Score to set the world on fire (being, after all, an amalgamation of all their left over material after being initially cancelled), it sounds like we should at least wait until it's completed post production before making any final judgements.
Guest Jordan Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Yeah, it was released early but its the final thing.
rapunzel Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 If you watch the end credits you will see that it is 4 episodes strung together, bit like the family guy movie. We watched it last night and both my GF and I thought it was absolutely amazing. Still a great watch can wait for the other 3 movies to come
Nintendohnut Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 No warez disussion... Aaaaah shit, this means I won't be able to see it. Also: had no idea, sorry. Also: How very annoying.
Kirkatronics Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 with it not being out yet, i hope it has all the proper lighting effects (jk..its a cartoon)
ReZourceman Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 (jk..its a cartoon) Glad you cleared that up, I didnt get it.
Cube Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I loved it. So many fantastic back references.
AshMat Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 So i watched all of it. At first i was a bit worried i wouldn't like it (first 20 mins or so) but i feel for me it picked up. And i really enjoye it in the second.. 2 thirds.
BeerMonkey Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 d/ling at mo cant wait to see it love futurama so glad its back
AshMat Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 I'm actually watching a 2nd time, and loving it more this time. Maybe it's a "grows on you" thing.
Sparko Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I loved it. So many fantastic back references. Yeah I loved all the back references too. I enjoyed it, can't wait for the next one!
arnold Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 It was amazing, It did kinda ruin Jurassic Bark though. Seymour actually waiting outside for Fry forever but merely choosing to stay there as Fry was that time period and seeing him everyday kinda fucked the episode a bit =/
ShadowV7 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Was just about to watch it, but then when I was unzipping it, it said I needed a password. Now I need to download a new one T_T
