Saw Long Blondes last night. Wasn't too great to be honest. They played a lot of new stuff tho.

I've seen them!

keeping with Radiohead some more: who else has that special 2nd disc of In Rainbows? it's rather good

I listen to it more than the actual album.

And In Rainbows > The Bends.

OK Computer =Kid A > In Rainbows > The Bends > Amnesiac > Hail To The Thief.

I won't even list Pablo Honey, as it is probably one of the worst records ever recorded. It's just horrible.

I would have said it was more like that really =P They just seem too equally brilliant in their own right to declare one better than the other.

As for my personal preference:

Kid A > Amnesiac > OK Computer > In Rainbows > Hail To The Thief > The Bends

Oh and Dan Dare, I have that 2nd disc of In Rainbows, it is brilliant :D I think if I were to put it on my list I would have it on a par with disc 1 of In Rainbows.

I bought the standard single-disc version, but there is a deluxe 2 discs one, with the second disc being B-Sides and various rarities.

Is In Rainbows really better than The Bends? I haven't got it yet, but have heard some of the album, and I must admit it is cracking stuff. Bodysnatchers is too fucking awesome.

However, better than The Bends...can it be?!

I'm sure one day i'll just love Radiohead. Based on my music taste it seems like I should, but I just don't.

I usually have loads of time for bands like Radiohead, but it just thinking about listening to most of their songs just makes me want to leave the computer.

I might listen to In Rainbows again. I need to post a joke review.

Take A Bow - Madonna came onto shuffle, so I decided to listen to the entire of Bedtime Stories by her. It has one of her best songs, Bedtime Story (written by Bjork!), and is my favourite of her normal pop albums. 9She's done better, less conventional albums).

She's very talented, and the only pop person I can really take seriously.

Ok, guys, I need your help.

Basically, I need help finding a specific song, but I don't even know if the song exists or not. It's one of those classic cases where I may or may not have made up the song in my head.

It's an instrumental as far as I know, and it starts off sounding a lot like an electric guitar version of Unchained Melody. My instincts tell me that it might be by Explosions in the Sky, as I got into that band around the same time.

Tell me, does this exist, or am I an idiot?

Ray of Light is a pretty good album tbf.

I have to second that, even though I hate her. I really enjoy listening to Frozen especially, it's quite hypnotising.

The video for Frozen is at least incredible as it was directed by a certain Christopher Cunningham. Who just so happens to be producing the next Horror's album. Interesting development indeed.

I feel I need to "reinvent" Dragonette, since they are awesome and get nowhere near as much publicity as they should.

Actually the cream of the pop world.

Watch the following videos (the first two are awesome, the third is fan made - but still the song is awesome)

I Get Around - I love. Lesbian kissing galore.

Take It Like A Man - I love even more. Porn for a joke.

The Boys - Awesome cover. I much prefer it to the original.

I don't think its a fair world when a pop tart releases the same album for the third time and gets praised when bands like this go unnoticed.

just wondering what everyones top five most wanted to see bands are. There seems to be quite mix of tastes here so i'm hoping some interesting names come up.

I have been fortunate enough to get to see alot of bands, but the ones I would most like to see who I haven't yet are:

Godspeed You! black Emporer

Oasis

Muse

RATM

Mono -seeing them in may :D

nb - please only count bands who are still active, every wants to have seen The Beatles, Joy Division, Sublime etc so not worth mentioning

Have you ever seen Oasis Live? No.

Very good live and this is from somebody who only likes their first two albums and thinks everything else they released was horrible.

What the fuck are Oasis doing there????

sentimental reasons. they were the first band I ever got really into, plus the first 2 albums are some of the best releases from the nineties

The ones in bold underlining are the concerts I went there to see. Anyway, I did see Oasis. And they suck. And so do their first two albums. I don't make claims I can't back up, seriously. I can understand people saying that Rammstein are a great live act, because they are, despite sucking so much musically... but Oasis are not even note worthy, live. And I should know, I've seen them. And it was actually considered one of their greatest concerts. So... yeah.

Kid A > The Bends > OK Computer (very close with the first three) > In Rainbows > Amnesiac > Hail To The Thief

A man after my own heart.

Yeah, I still didn't get into Radiohead, despite listening to In Rainbows yesterday.

-----

Listening to The Con by Tegan And Sara, a great duo, and awesome live.

It's just been released in the UK, as only now have they got a UK Record deal, after like 4 albums.

The Con

The Con (Second Single)

(Prospective 3rd single)

----

Some of their most popular/best stuff is from the previous albums, however.

(Love this video. I want to their friend.)
