mcj metroid Posted March 19, 2007 Author Posted March 19, 2007 sonic and the secret rings is still a terrible name for the game. wild fire would have been far better
Zell Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Hmm none really spring to mind... oh here's a couple: New Super Mario Bros - what were they thinking, it wasn't going to be new forever now was it? Super Smash Bros Melee - despite being one of my favourite games ever, the name is a bit turd. Here are some of the best game names ever: Shadow Of The Colossus Metroid Prime Perfect Dark
nekunando Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Starfox 2D ..what..? ..oh yeh.. thats the name of the game I am making for uni.. I can see you all nodding in agreement..
mcj metroid Posted March 19, 2007 Author Posted March 19, 2007 yes new super mario bros is awful. The xbox title called sonic the hedghog is also annoying
Kurtle Squad Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Some of those game names are actually pretty awesome; Especially Mr Domino What do people think of the name: Super Magical Quest of Adventure ? for the game I'm making. It's supposed to be stupidly long in a slight nod the the Tingle game (and the fact that all other names I wanted were taken).
pedrocasilva Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 by far... -> Escape from Bug Island *shivers*
Zechs Merquise Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 by far... -> Escape from Bug Island *shivers* that was awful, but their winner 'Irritating Stick' was quite bad too.
Letty Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Ive not played this but: 'Awesome Possum Kicks Dr. Machino's Butt!' edit - WATCH.
Daft Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Simple DS Series Vol.14 The Jidousha Kyoushuujo DS -- Gendoukitsuki Jidousha, Futsuu Jidou Nirin, Oogata Jidou Nirin, Futsuu Jidousha, Fusuu Jidousha Nishuu, Chuugata Jidousha, Oogata Jidousha, Oogata Jidousha Nishuu, Oogata Tokuchuu Jidousha, Kenbiki. I don't think it is specific enough! I always get this confused with Mario Kart!
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I quite like the idea behind "New Super Mario Bros." A new version of the old classic. Calling it Mario Bros 5 or something would be ok, but it just wouldn't capture people's attention. Everyone remembers the classic Super Mario Bros. games, so I thought this was actually an excellent marketting ploy. Worked wonders, I reckon. Anyway, I personally hate Final Fantasy. Surely this is the biggest contradiction in videogames ever, especially as the games are now into their 13th incarnation, as far as the main series goes. I don't know how many remakes, how many sequels to each game or movies or spinoffs there have been, but it is a lot. Final Fantasy 13: Not Quite The Final Fantasy, more like. It annoys me.
Darkspine S Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Sure, the name final fantasy is strange, but think of it like this, each one is set in a new world, with new characters, locations, and pretty much everything, so it kind of works. While I'm at it, FF12 sucks. If square enix use the same battle system in 13, I won't be getting it.
Isindil Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Project Rub. Feel the Magic: XY/XX was a way better name. Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Advanced Wars would've been better, yet still not really good. I get it with the GB Advanced-link, but that does not make it sound better. Even some professional gaming websites misspell it as Advanced Wars.
Kurtle Squad Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Project Rub. Feel the Magic: XY/XX was a way better name. Feel the Magic is only a good name if you take away the chromasome (sp?) bollocks; but Project Rub is way better and suggestive.
Cube Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Eledees (compared to the original Elebits). Eledees » Elebits.
Gizmo Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Wasn't there a PSP game called Sticky Balls? :p *reads the list* I knew it was on there! Honest! I did!
mcj metroid Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 Eledees » Elebits. haha no but they are both shit
Ashley Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Eledees » Elebits. Watching my friend's daughter learning the language and, as children do, discover their own body, Elebits means something very different to me now...
