Blackfox Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 I messed up the quote but it wwas something about the subway club stickers... hey don't take them anymore OK, here goes: Chicken Teriaki Chicken Tikka Meatball Marinella Cheese steak All have to have all the salad (except the gerkins, and occasionalyl without the olives and chillies). They all (minus the tikka) have to be warmed. Then, you have to have two[i/] sauces - oh yes. Sweet Onion and Honet Mustard usually suffice.
weeyellowbloke Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I went to one once. It was a traumatising experience. I just can't be doing with this American ideal of choice that the likes of Subway and Starbucks promote. "What type of bread would you like, what filling, what sauce, what salad, what accompaniment." For the love of god I can't even decide on a cereal in the morning, I don't know, I don't know, leave me alone. All want is a sandwich not the Spanish Inquisition. I think the "Have a nice day" at the end was the final straw that left me a quivering, weeping wreck on the floor. *Note: Although based on actual events some aspects of this story may have been mildly exaggerated. P.S. Eat the Pope.
nekunando Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 ..I've never eaten in Subway before.. but heck I want a sandwich right about now.. so I'm gonna go see what's in the fridge and report back with what I'm having.. ..not that you should care of course but.. yeh.. ..sandwich time
arab_freak Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I just get a pizza sub with meatball sauce and grilled cheese.
nekunando Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 ..did the best with what I've got.. ..just the right amount of wafer thin turkey ham below a light layer of melted cheese, giving the sandwich a little warmth.. it's going down well
BeerMonkey Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 had a subway eariler on = Footlong cheese steak on hearty italian bread double cheese lettuce and onions with honey mustard sauce *Toasted* LOVELY!! thats my fav subway combination
ReZourceman Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 For people saying Meatball is too messy, follow my handy guide. You will never fear again.
ipaul Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 12" cheese steak Wheat Bread Lettuce and tomatoes Mayonaise With as much coke as you like Normally that will be too much though so ill just get whatever the sub of the day is if i do go in there.
Garden_Pigeon Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 12" Italian Tuna and Cheese Melt Lettuce Thats the simple st00f right there. Are the drinks from the machine actually free refills? I just take free refills anyways.

Ice9 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 My favorite is: 6" Italian BMT with cheese Honey Oat bread Microwaved not toasted Lettice, cucumber, little bit of red onion, sweetcorn and mayonaise. I'm suprised not many people have said Honey Oat, its so awesome! Italian herbs and cheese is my second favorite. The drinks are free refils, it said so on the signs they had on the counter when they were getting rid of the sub club cards and stickers. Something like "We will be continuing with other great offers such as... free refils"
Supergrunch Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 This free refill thing is silly then, because £1 = infinite drink, and £1.10 = a bottle of drink... Anyway, I had subway yesterday... I ate my usual, of course.
Charlie Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Are the drinks in Subway meant to be free refils? We're never sure.... so we just do it anyway.
solitanze Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Usually get 3 foot longs to eat (6 6 inch subs) and get the hot ones only as in meatball, chicken, cheese steak etc. Any cheese from old english to cheddar, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, tomato horseraddish, mayonaise, ranch, whatever ingredients are suitable to the ones I get (i.e. Wouldn't have mayonaise on a cheese steak sub for example but would have it on a chicken sub). Usually get the Parmesan bread and/or hearty italian bread and don't get ingredients such as Bacon Shards and sliced Peppers that incur a surcharge.
