  1. Nah, not really, you wouldn't have like it. Truce. http://msnsport.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5721692,00.html Boss Nass installed as Pompey manager! Woo! Meesa be tinkin' yousa goin' up de table.
  2. Na na na na, na na na na, wahey-hey, wrong forum.
  3. And the best part is, when my graduating class took out our loans, we were guaranteed that the interest would stay in line with inflation and we would only ever pay back the equivalent of what we borrowed in the first place. Then of course, a year later, the SLC decided to change things.
  4. Smother yourself in chocolate and go as a Penguin.
  5. (edit) Ah, forget it. I'm going to be the bigger man here.
  6. Look: my point was you don't half go on about Arsenal. And it was slightly made in jest, ie: "Can you find a team other than your own to show an example from?" I don't want an argument with you, and I resent the use of "again". I don't ever recall us having an argument. Have we really? Sorry if we have.
  7. Are you even... aware of the existence of other football teams?
  8. Can I do " At Christmas time we let in light and we banish shade" or "At Christmas time it's hard but when you're having fun"?
  9. Couldn't agree more. Going back in time to when I used to buy ST magazines, they promoted a system where a game receiving less than 80% was something to somehow be ashamed of. Every game had to be a 90%+ to have any hope of being a monster hit, otherwise it was considered to be horrifically flawed. A title scoring between 80% - 90% always had an enormous (*snicker*) "but" somewhere along the line. As people have said, 7/10 or 70% is actually not bad. I'd have killed to get 70% in all of my Final Exams, I would not have considered that bad at all. Disagree with the thoughts about Edge however: They are pompous assholes who perpetuate themselves through trying make others believe that they are somehow superior by being hyper-critical of everything.
  10. The worst thing, the WORST thing is that a year ago a Marks and Spencer opened on Nanjing Xi Lu (big shopping district) and they had hundreds of M&S Wine Gums. Then suddenly from January this year... they stopped selling them.
  11. Jeez... no Christmas in China, though Mrs Iun and I are going to go to England for her to meet my parents for the first time. Naturally, my family is pretty unconcerned with what to get us/me/her. But if I were asked, I would certainly like: Wine Gums. As many bags as possible. Can't get them in Shanghai Options Belgian Chocolate Flavour. Again, as many jars as possible. A subscription to Private Eye. A new pair of gym shoes, preferably Nike. Some new jeans that fit. Unremarkable, I know...
  12. That's the point, I think these guys are just publicity/fame hounds with nothing better to do. Either that or they really mean they want this, and are therefore a danger to the rest of society if they attempt to reproduce... We're gonna need a crack team of Commandos to forestall any such disaster! Select the best M.A.S.K. agents for this mission... I'm in a "different sex" marriage, it's just the kind of things Mrs Iun and I are into, don't judge us
  13. This illiterate fellow makes for a good thread idea...
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/8376937.stm ... You... just... what...huh? These people are trying to divide by zero, I swear.
  15. YOU. ARE. SHITTING. ME. Someone scratch my eyes out, I don't want to see anything ever again, for I have glimpsed Heaven.
  16. Sure, but I need to work out how to adequately compress video using my iSight camera on the Maccy, or use Mrs Iun's happy snappy crappy Sony DC.
  17. Aw, that's sweet Just how overweight is she? Are we talking a few kilos or Susan Boyle territory? Naw, I kid. It's lovely But Christmas is coming up and Gym memberships are cheaper now.
  18. I am physically unable to see the 3D aspect of 3D films, and if I watch the film without the glasses, then I just get a headache. The Matrix A really great film, that retreads the old Cartesian "Evil Deceiver" premise with joy and abandon. Some scenes are a bit pointless but make up for it with the action. Such a shame they never made any sequels. 8/10

D'you know... I don't really like this game. I'm about 3 hours in and it all appears to be so pointless. Yes, there's a story and the presentation is good, but the commentary is dull, the action repetitive and the layout is confusing. Am I missing something?
  20. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/internationals/8368100.stm Denied! No stairway!
  21. I had no idea! You see, I spent the last 10 years in a cave, on Mars, with my fingers in my ears going "la la la la!"
  22. The same thing happened with the reimagined BSG... everyone was all "oh, it will never work! Starbuck can't be a woman! Why is she a woman? Waaaah waaah waaah!" Then literally EVERY MAN IN THE WORLD had his thumb and index finger on the zipper everytime Number 6 appeared on screen. I saw some of the original, damn weird show, but nightmarishly entertaining in its own way.
