Mother 1 got released in English on the Wii U VC (It's now called Earthbound Beginnings) and it's available right now for £6.49. Otherwise a brand new game called Blastball got unveiled at the NWCs and loads of new Mario Maker (now called Super Mario Maker) stuff got shown off during the show (if you can't be arsed to watch the whole thing, the Super Mario Maker stuff got shown off from here on )

Don't see how they could possibly top yesterday, but I'm looking forward to seeing them try!

Yup! The sheer breadth of games was really great! It's that massive catalogue of titles across so many generations that would really give the NWC format huge longevity if they made it an annual event! Just wish that they had a few games from the N64 and GCN era. Balloon Fight in particular was a fantastic choice though! Agreed. Made me feel like a 90s kid again! There's plenty of room for more NWC events in the future too, especially if they ramp up the scale and make it global!

Ugh... I'm gonna miss both Microsoft's AND Nintendo's conferences... Stupid bloody work not giving me time off

Oh of course there will be insanity! I'm a dab hand at making something creative when I put the effort in! (If you've ever played my Wario Ware DIY games, you'd know that I'm destined for a mental asylum )

I swear that I'm like the only person out there who intends to actually not make loads of Kaizo Mario style levels I actually wanna design some levels that anyone can finish - like a mini-Mario game as if it were designed by Nintendo! So far it looks like I might actually stand out amongst everyone else making arsehole levels

Same. As long as it's handled like Steel Diver Sub Wars and not Pokemon Shuffle/Rumble World though, I'm in. Looks like good fun!

Great show! Just the right amount of cheese! Surprises a plenty, some great showings of upcoming games, lots of energy and loads of cringe - great stuff! My only real complaint was that I wish we had more retro stuff and less of the modern (particularly some games from N64-Wii would've been good) and that they should've been consistent about highlighting which players were who; but eh? I suppose that's always there for next time Reggie getting embarrassed on stage was a particular highlight (fair play to home for not having it faked and doing it for real though! He obviously doesn't have time to play games or practice for Smash, so it's actually pretty ballsy of him to come out and publicly make a fool of himself!) Overall, a riproaring success I reckon! : peace:

These are the Classic Mode/All Star Mode ending videos, so obviously someone must have the DLC and recorded the video... ... Which probably means that someone in the media already has it to review... which means that the DLC is done and due to be released any time around now... BTW: The end of Ryu's video shows a SF2 stage as well... So how much will Ryu resemble the blatant Ryu clone that is Lucario in Project M?

Shame that it happened so late (and that Epic refused to do it themselves), but at least someone would've done it in the end!

Just saw. Honestly surprised that they managed to pull it off on the normal 3DS (or even the New3DS for that matter - actually the whole bloody thing is a real surprise!) Ooh! The Sonic Amiibo works!? Cool! I liked the Zelda level in Sonic Lost World, it was a good laugh; so I'm sure he'll be just as funny here.

WAT!? Who the hell saw this coming!? Wow! An actual, legit leak from Nintendo!? What happened to their ninjas!? Even so, their announcement strategy is so dodgy. They can't have much left to show at the Digital Event now surely? I imagine that it's probably a New3DS exclusive, so perhaps not as much of a downgrade as you might first think... The trailer looked amazing at least!

Well it's a Friday, so it probably means that it's getting a retail release here...
