  1. Yeah it's great! I've been wanting to see a game do this for a good while now!
  2. Well NOW!! Actual, legit 3rd party support before the NX even gets unveiled!? Wow! That also begs the question... Which version is going to NX? The 3DS one? The PS4 one? Or something totally different? Personally I'm getting on it being the PS4 version, simply because it's the type of game that could be ported very easily (and the NX project is all about developing an ecosystem that can be shared across multiple devices; a pretty standard looking, UE4 powered, RPG seems like exactly the kind of game that would be well suited for deployment across multiple form factors). That would imply that UE4 will have native support for NX, further implying a relatively industry standard approach to software development... Mind you though that doesn't really hint much at the hardware that'll be in the handheld/console. It could well still be Power PC based for all we know :p
  3. Wait WHAT!? The hell just happened!? An NX announcement!?
  4. Pretty sure they were. But these games are being made by two different developers (Orca for PS4, Toy Logic on 3DS) so I wouldn't imagine them interfering much with each other's resective development cycles.
  5. DQ PS4 looks SUPER early... That was basically just a graphics tech demo... The 3DS game is clearly much further along (going by what one of DQ11 PS4's developers said, development only started not long ago; so it seems that they started making it for 3DS first and then decided to make a PS4 game later on) I wonder if they'll release both at the same time or do a staggered release like what Level 5 did with NNK...
  6. That 3DS version looks cool! I like the idea of having 3D on the top screen and 2D sprite visuals on the bottom! : peace:
  7. And since this is a carbon copy of what happened with Ni-No-Kuni, only the PS4 version will get released outside Japan :p
  8. I get that feeling too. Feels too soon since Iwata's passing. Either way, we're definitely not getting one this month.
  9. Nah. Going by what Iwata has said, the NX should be based on the Wii U hardware; meaning that anything released for Wii U works out of the box on NX. So getting these games out on Wii U now means that they're all ready to go on NX from day 1.
  10. The hell!? Why!? We're not due a Nintendo Direct till next month, so it's not that... I mean, we've had a good run this past month, why slow down now?
  11. Ironically the glitches end up making it more fun all round
  12. Aaaannnddd it's live! Let the madness begin!
  13. Yeah, it's a great concept marred by lousy execution. If only we could get a unified standard, then Logitech could integrate it into their Harmony remotes... sigh Could've added Xenoblade X, Project Zero 5, Rodea The Sky Soldier, Yo-Kai Watch, Devils Third, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, Metroid Prime Federation Force or Mario & Luigi Paper Jam to that lineup very easily...
  14. Nah course not. As powerful as this tool looks, it'll never be as powerful as the tools that the actual developers have (you wont be able to do things like scripting, programming in new objects/gimmicks/physics/gameplay mechanics/cutscenes etc). This is something that is designed to be simple enough for the average person to use, so it has to be limited by nature. I certainly couldn't program a Mario game, that's for sure!
  15. I can see them making DLC packs with new creation tools down the line like what they did with Little Big Planet. That would be awesome to see! Stages on their own though? Pointless. They'd be recreated by players and uploaded within minutes if they did that
  16. Oh wow! I never even noticed this! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=172163669&postcount=9527 Apparantly the Splatfest polls questions actually come from the (now shut down) Everybody Votes Channel! The Eating VS Sleeping one was also one of the first global polls ever held by the EVC as well. So it seems that Nintendo are re-using the old polls that were originally used back in the day! Everybody Votes lives on! (Maybe there's a chance that I might get to see the answer to my Father Ted Dreams vs Reality and Small vs Far Away questions after all )
  17. So that's Ness, Lucina, Marth, Ike, DeDeDe, Pacman, Robin and Bowser Jr added to my collection... Ouch... my wallet!!!
  18. Kickstarter is a crowd funding platform, but Project Cars wasn't actually crowd funded through Kickstarter itself. Instead, Slightly Mad Studios set up their own crowd funding site where they sold different "packs" that granted the user rights to have a say in certain part of the game's development (as well as a small share of the profits after a certain point).
  19. Dat bloody midair down-A
  20. This game is ridiculously underrated! It's always a hit whenever guests are round! Fruit alone is worth the pricetag for us! (And of course Artwork is a guaranteed good time by all : peace: ) While not all the games are runaway winners, the ones that hit REALLY hit! (Gamer in particular needs no introduction) Oh and of course, you can't not mention THOSE title screens... Genius
  21. Romhackers? People who love building stuff in Minecraft and Little Big Planet? I reckon it might shift a few units at least
  22. https://gamesdonequick.com https://gamesdonequick.com/schedule It's that time of the year again! Anyone else here tuning in to watch? (For those that don't know what this is, it's a 6 day long charity game marathon where the world's best Speedrunners gather together and power through dozens upon dozens of games, quick! Prizes and lols a plenty are had along the way too )
  23. New trailer... Actually surprisingly good this one! Makes the game look like stupid nonsense fun
  24. I don't think much will change in that regard. They already have a clear idea of what they're aiming for with the NX platforms and software development for the first one has already started now. One thing you have to remember about Iwata's tenure is that he really managed to unite virtually everyone at Nintendo under the one overall vision; despite initial trepidation with the DS/Wii. There really wasn't much discontent about how he went about things at all, so everyone currently working on the NX project will have shared in Iwata's vision, will have a clear idea of what the project aims to achieve and what they want to do with it already at this point.
