So... For those of you who have watched all the way to the end; I am actually planning on booking time off work for this. I want to actually plan this AHEAD of time this time instead of doing everything at the last minute (I want to test things properly this time ), so I would like to know what days/times would be best for all of you in April. Let me know when you guys would be free in April, what days of the week work best, if you have any specific days/weeks off, what times during the day would be best for you etc and I will work around you all! : peace: I do have some extra surprises in store for you all as well. We will probably run three brackets again (For Fun, For Glory, Crazy Smash), but I do have some things planned that I hope pan out as well I aim to make this more Professional and less PROFESSIONAL!!!!1!1!! this time : peace:

NEShow Special Episode 2 - Zelda | Zelda | Zelda

I'll have to see about adding some OTT flashy effects to make his screen look cool next time Someone clearly hasn't watched all the way to the end of my Smash Bros Highlights Video yet -
VERY slick! Literally two clicks and a code verification, took less than 30 seconds to register using an existing NNID. Good job on making it painless Nintendo/DeNA. Worlds apart from the horrendously messy process that was involved with Club Nintendo!

Ugh... Boost Guardian... Oh the nightmares that still plague my soul... They actually did go and make it easier in later versions (because even they could obviously tell that he was just too much boost to handle), but he's still no joke, even with the enhanced Wii controls giving you an advantage. Oh and great shoutout to Nintendo's doppelgänger fetish back in the GCN era @Glen\-i. Hell, just in that year alone (2004), we saw the introduction of Dark Samus, Shadow Link, Shadow Peach, Dark Kirby, Dark Metaknight AND Louie (ok, maybe not till Pikmin 3, but it still counts ). Never mind that just a few years back, we also had Shadow Mario and the SAX (yes, that's right; two different Samus doppelgängers within two years!)... Yeah... A bit much me thinks! Thankfully Nintendo laid off of it and never sought to delve back into that incredibly overused trope agai... ... oh.

We have people jumping in the middle of things all the time, in fact, due to the way that the league results are calculated, you're actually not really at a disadvantage by joining in now So yeah! The more the merrier! : peace:

We don't own the music, it was composed for us by Total Instrumentals. You can find the composer's music right here on Sound Cloud She did an amazing job, so be sure to check her music out! : peace: -

Hello and welcome to the brand new NEShow Monthly Contests Thread! The place for everything related to the monthly contests that feature in the NEShow. Now, chances are that you’re probably scratching your head thinking, “what’s this guy on about?” “What stupid thing is he planning this time?”, What does a Dcubed even look like?” and “Where are the prizes!?”. Well now! Slow down, and I’ll tell you. As part of the newly launched NEShow, we are hosting a series of contests that take place over a month long period. Each one will test your Nintendo gaming skills across all of Nintendo’s platforms new and old, in a bid to compete for glory and for fun! And yes, we do indeed have prizes up for grabs for the deserving winner of each month’s challenge (oh, NOW you’re interested? I thought you might be ) In general, these contests will mainly require you to post screenshots of your best attempts, via PM, to me! (or to someone else who might end up operating it in my stead in the future if I’m not available; but for now? I’m your guy ) We want to keep all of the attempts as private as possible, so we ask that you do not post your attempts in this thread or on the forums publically. The results will be announced on the NEShow episode that comes out around this time each month, and the winner will be contacted via PM for details and how/where to send their prize to. So without further ado, here are the details for this month’s NEShow Monthly Challenge! February-March 2016: Metroid Fusion This month’s challenge is an Any % Speedrun of Metroid Fusion. In short, this means that you need to complete the game as fast as possible and the percentage of items that you collect does not matter. You can collect as many, or as few, items as you wish; but ultimately all that matters is how fast you manage to complete the game. Which versions of the game are valid for entry into this contest? All attempts for this month’s contest must be undertaken on either the Wii U VC or the 3DS Ambassador release of the game. Also, due to version differences, only submissions made using the European or US versions of the game will be accepted (Attempts made with the Japanese versions will not be considered). Due to the prevalence of GBA cheat devices, modified save files and the possibility of emulator save states being used to perform a Tool Assisted Speedrun, we are not accepting attempts made using any other version, including the original GBA cart release. How do I submit my attempt? If you are playing the Wii U VC version, we require you to take two screenshots. One must be taken of the TV screen on the end results screen, like I have done below… You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. @Glen\-i just reminded me of a couple of other tips that'll come in handy for everyone taking part... Firstly, pausing the game also pauses the in-game timer. This means that if you want to pause the game (be it to take a break, or check the map, or whatever) it will not count against your time. Good to know Secondly, if you choose to Start Over an already completed file, the map screen will show a handy dandy timer and will also keep track of the items you've collected in each area. Very good to know

Oh that's cool! I would get in to support my buddy Charmander, but Blue had the better exclusive Pokemon... Ohh!!! Why you make me choose!?

Oh, before I forget... IN!
-
Yeah, that is an odd one. Don't see why the US would get it and not us! Hurry up and fix this NOE! (Oh and Kururin Paradise would be nice too. Even if it was still all in Japanese, that would be cool since it's perfectly playable without any Japanese knowledge )
-
Oh hey cool! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1182459 Kurukurukururin is finally getting a US release for the first time ever! (It was originally EU/JPN exclusive) Now if you guys could return the favour and give us Trauma Team, that would be swell

Not always... GBA got a full 2 years worth of support after the DS came out, with some not insignificant releases like Pokemon Emerald, Drill Dozer, Wario Ware Twisted, the Bit Generations series (Japan only), Mother 3 (Japan only... but not for much longer ) and Rhythm Heaven (Japan only). Remember how they pitched the DS as a third pillar? Well that's what they've been doing with the NX as well. Notice how they keep saying that they're not looking to dump support for the Wii U and 3DS as soon as the NX comes out and that they're gonna keep supporting them with unannounced titles? Same thing. And you can bet on Pokemon Gen 7 being for 3DS. It can't come out early in the NX handheld's life because they need to have a certain sized audience in place first, before it can release on there. They just announced the first Gen 7 Pokemon today, meaning that the next mainline game isn't far off now... And since it can't go on NX, that means it's going to 3DS. So the 3DS and Wii U will still be getting significant games released for them for some time still. It's not gonna be like with the N64, GCN and Wii, where they were unceremoniously dumped immediately after the successor came out. With this transition, it's gonna be more like NES, SNES, GBA and DS in that regard.
-
Wahoho! The road to Gen 7 starts here! We'll may still see a Gen 6 game or two that it appears in before then though (like how Lucario appeared in the first Pokemon MD game). Pokemon Z will probably still come first as well (might even appear in that).
-
I don't doubt that we'll get this one. We've gotten all of Picross e games so far (except for Club Nintendo Picross for some strange reason), so this one is a no brainer really. The question though, is whether or not it'll get a retail release over here, because I get that feeling that it's gonna be digital only outside Japan...
-
Huh? That's a really strange choice then... Why change it at all in that case?
-
AVGN was indeed on there for a while. He had already started before then, but Gametrailers helped him make his name.
-
Thank God for him. Well said as usual Jim : peace: It's sad, but YouTube is just such an unstoppable giant that all who oppose The Machine are getting crushed. It's not just GT or gaming media either. Non gaming media outlets like Channel Awesome are struggling to keep afloat in the age of YouTube dominance as well.

Kinda related to this topic... This just came out of the newly English translated Investor's Q&A... Merchandising and mobiles seem to be a key component in their efforts to attract children...

Yet more hints that they're not planning on dumping Wii U and 3DS immediately... Interesting little tidbit about Spain and France there
