Heh, cute. You still think that this is the last year for Wii U...
-
See that's the thing. The motion controls were the one thing that Banana Blitz actually got right! They worked very, very well. The problem was that the rest of the game was total garbage! The level design was horrific, with practically no real difficulty to speak of. They took away Challenge Mode entirely, gave you an extra life for every 10 bananas instead of 100 (seriously!? The game isn't braindead easy enough as it is!?), added the horrible boss battles, introduced the jump mechanic that completely breaks the level design (that was already lacking to begin with) and... well, it just completely lacks the tight design that made the first two games such classics. And the less said about the outsourced, shovelware minigames, the better!
-
Of course they would. The Wii U isn't going anywhere and the NX console isn't coming till at least November 2017. Not to mention they still have Pikmin 4 that's coming that hasn't technically been announced yet; as well as Zelda Wii U, Starfox Zero, Pokken, #FE and Zelda TP HD (and that's just what we know about! Retro's new game, that's due to be announced and likely released this year, is also probably a Wii U title; given that they would've started making it around November 2013... far too early for it to be an NX title, be it console or handheld). Given that it would've had 3-4 years worth of development, I would be shocked if it were rushed!

Sounds like someone's overcompensating :p

Plus like I said before, the timing matches up perfectly (Sticker Star came out December 2012. It has already been over 3 years since then and possibly up to 4 years if it came out end of this year; that's globs of time, even for a big budget Wii U PM game! Heh, me and Glen-i do that quite a bit as well. We often do that to go online with each other alongside other players (Off TV play on Wii U comes in very handy for that ) We also plan on doing it with Pokken. Set it up, arcade cabinet style, for LAN play!
-
Supposedly it's a new Paper Mario game for Wii U... Now, I'm not one to put stock into anything that she says in particular, but I did actually literally JUST suggest that it was going to happen for sure this year to a friend of mine (it has been over 3 years since Sticker Star already, so that's plenty of time for a new PM game to be made, even a HD one), so I'm inclined to believe it for purely self-indulgent reasons
-
The goodwill gesture will be full BC with all Wii, Wii U and Wii U VC games The handheld though will have full BC with the Wii U VC titles only :p

Confirmation Bias is the term you're looking for

Count me amongst the people who loved the intro to Twilight Princess. I loved the wealth of things to do in Ordon Village before you set out to the first dungeon and the sleepy atmos that was set up and quickly dashed by the onslaught of Twilight! Zelda is more than just dungeons, combat and puzzles. It's also about the world you explore, the people you speak to and the various side quests and minigames scattered throughout. Lots of people seem to think that the game doesn't start until you get to the first dungeon, but what they don't seem to realise is that there's much more to Zelda than that and that begins as soon as you take control of your character!

Oh it's even better! The promo levels are included as well! So that means that you get the promo only levels like Airship's Revenge as well! Every single eCard level ever released in all regions is included! For reference, the original SMB has 32 levels. So this is basically a completely new Mario game's worth of levels for most of us here! BTW, for those wondering about the eCard exclusive items like the Cape, I'm pretty certain that they're obtainable within World e and can be brought into the main game as well... Edit: Nope, never mind. Misremembering. You can indeed get the items like the Cape, but you can't take them out of World e and into the main game :p
-
Oh wow! The VC version of SMA4 in the US does include the JPN only eCard levels! So even if you imported the US version and the eCards/Reader back in the day, this does include content that is new to you! Europe please! I've only played half of the eReader levels! I've always wanted to play the JPN only ones!
-
NOICE!!! (is what I will be shouting when they announce an EU release!) Shame that they didn't include the Master System versions of Space Harrier 3D and Outrun 3D that were previously included in the first Japanese retail release, but at least we'll be getting the most important ones, like Power Drift in the west! @Serebii should be happy about seeing Ken Sugamori's boxart on the shelf as well
-
I wonder if it'll include the Japanese exclusive levels... (Only half of the Level eReader cards were actually released in the US, the other half remained Japanese exclusive originally...) More importantly... we had better get the eReader levels this time around here in Europe!
-
So the Wolf Link "Dungeon" is basically the Cave of Ordeals but with Wolf Link only. Cool, a nice bonus The Ganondorf Amiibo damage is INSANE though! Now THAT difficulty is more like it! Along with Hero Mode, it's nice to have Twilight Princess offer an actual challenge this time around!
-
Wow what a "leak", it is a handheld/console, it plays games and has a HDMI cable... Woo Lol @ the graphics being 900p/60FPS. As if games adhere to a standard framerate/resolution and don't vary at all according to what fits them best Next they'll be telling us that the console plugs into a wall socket! Scoop of the century! This "leak" is nonsense.

I know that there are some PS2 to GCN controller adapters out there... I'd imagine that many of them would also work in reverse! Edit: Oh BTW, random, but I stumbled onto something cool... http://www.usgamer.net/articles/keiji-yamagishi-on-his-past-and-future-in-game-music An interview with the composer of Ninja Gaiden NES, Keiji Yamagishi!

Loads... Yoshi's Wooly World, Xenoblade X, Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, Mario & Luigi Paper Jam, New Style Boutique 2, Codename STEAM, Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash, LBX: Little Battlers eXperience, Puzzle & Dragons Z + Super Mario Bros. Edition, Fullblox, Undertale, Tales of Zesteria, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition... I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones from 2015 that spring to mind instantly... (hell there's some from 2014 I've still yet to get round to!)

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
What you're thinking of are Suspend Saves and they're supported here, just like they are with all VC games on 3DS, Wii U and (with some exceptions) on Wii. That's the one that makes a temporary save state that is deleted when you return to the game. Restore Points are like the save states that you see on PC, where you can make a permanent save state that can be reloaded whenever you want, as many times as you want. That's the one that allows you to cheat and that's the one that is disabled here. -
You have to use this QR code that was given out in CoroCoro magazine... Enjoy! : peace:

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Animal Crossing has item and currency trading. Cloning those and allowing easy cheating destroys the whole trading/social/economy element of the game, just like with Pokemon. Monster Hunter disables save backups as well I believe (there is very limited item trading involved, only crappy low level stuff, but it's there. You might not be able to trade the good stuff, but if they allowed it, that would allow you to clone and sell them for infinite cash :p ) -
Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Because those games have you interacting with other players; there's a social element involved with Pokemon that is ruined if people are allowed to cheat. Zelda is a single player game though. You cheating in that has no consequence to anyone else playing the game; not so with Pokemon or Animal Crossing though... -
Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1172642 As expected, they've disabled the Restore Point feature for these VC releases (to stop cheating with cloned Pokemon). Likewise they've disabled the Save Data backup feature, like they do for certain other games like Animal Crossing New Leaf. -
Initial details will come out in March, just right after Miitomo and My Nintendo launches worldwide. After that, no more details until E3, where the NX handheld gets a full reveal and it's release is announced for either late this year or early next year (probably won't be more specific than Q4 2016/Q1 2017 though). Some details on the NX console might be shown, but no final hardware or specific details (and probably no games shown, but maybe some tech demos...)

Not really that surprising. Hori make most of the officially licensed bespoke, non-standard, Nintendo controllers, so it stands to reason that they'd be tapped to work on this.

Glad to see that they amended the info relatively quickly In that case, this version is mine for cert! : peace: (and I suggest you all do the same! 60hz makes a huge difference!)
