  1. They're gonna rip off Kirby Superstar's plot and you'll damn well like it!
  2. YES!!! SCREW FRANCE! We're leaving Kalos behind baby! We know the rules. The second gen on the same console is always the best!
  3. Twice. Both Gen 2 and Gen 5 were released on the same platform as their predecessor (G/S were playable on the original brick GB and were GBC Enhanced, while BW/BW2 were playable on DS and were DSi Enhanced) Makes sense though. The developers have to spend a lot of time learning the ins and outs of a new console the first time round when they're making the first new gen for a specific Nintendo handheld; while with the second time around, they're already familiar with it and can just focus on the game's content instead of learning how to code for the new platform. I'd be shocked if we didn't get Pokemon Z this year, but personally I just want to get on with Gen 7 already! :p Edit: HOHOHOHOHOHO!! Looks like I may be getting my wish! Pokemon ripping off Kirby is fine by me! Oh, hey. @Serebii...
  4. Last week's highlights are now up! And with that, we are now up to date! Congratulations to @RedShell for the excellent work!
  5. Personally I want to move on from Gen 6 ASAP. X/Y were very disappointing for me, especially after the absolutely stellar Gen 5 games! Following that, we had a disappointing remake of the worst Pokemon games... Yeah... I just want to get Gen 6 out of the way already :p But I know how it works... The second Pokemon gen on the same platform is always the best of the bunch. Gen 2 (GSC), Gen 5 (BW/BW2), Gen 7 (???) You know it's true As an aside, they had better fix the technical issues involved in X/Y. Even if it has to be New3DS enhanced/exclusive to do so, it needs to be done. The current state that Gen 6 is in tech wise is completely unacceptable! It's not even good looking at all outside of the battles (and even that has pretty much no background detail at all) and it STILL runs like a dog and that's with NO 3D SUPPORT to boot! Otherwise, the thing I want to see the most is to have Inverse Battles become a standard format (like Doubles/Rotation/Triples), not something that appears just once and is inaccessible in multiplayer at all. It (quite literally) turns the entire game on it's head and it's great fun! It's criminal that it's not being used elsewhere at all!
  6. Fantastic start! Great news! Now we just have to hope that NOE aren't stupid enough to try releasing it in August over here...
  7. The minigames are AWESOME! Plus Gym Leader Tower and the Pokemon quiz! The Gen 6 announcement trailer was less than 3 mins long...
  8. If we don't get Pokemon Stadium for the Wii U VC and Pokemon Pinball for the 3DS VC out of this, this direct is a failure I tells ya! A FAILURE!!!
  9. I really need to get round to boosting my DC collection. The only "rare" game I have for it right now that's actually exclusive for it is Cosmic Smash :p
  10. Oh no, I'm sure they will undercut them I have no doubt about that... The question is, just how much will undercut them by? $449.99 seems like the most I could see them pricing it if they want to appeal to the mass market, but I wonder if they might just go ahead and aim for a high price to squeeze more out of early adopters...
  11. $449.99/£349.99 I'm tempted to go for that, but after the price announcements for Vive/Oculus, I wonder if they might end up going higher now...
  12. STOP THE PRESSES!!!!! Forget all these silly rumours, they don't matter! Something far more important has finally happened... http://www.retrostudios.com/ RETRO STUDIOS HAVE FINALLY UPDATED THEIR WEBSITE DESIGN!!! IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A GEOSITES PAGE FROM 1995 ANYMORE!!! It actually looks... good!
  13. Small world eh? That is indeed me! (Mii?) Had a quick look around, but I couldn't find you sadly, so it probably was a relay... BUT... I did find Agent Gibbs' Mii
  14. It must be a sickness. Probably Pokerus or something :p
  15. Personally I'd rather play... The Last Ranger...
  16. We could always call it the Nintendo Dolphin. I did always like that name! (And hey! At least people won't think it's another version of the Wii )
  17. Good luck beating all three games before Zelda comes out!
  18. Bah! I suppose I can accept that... barely... (gotta keep in Ashley's good books for the NEShow's sake )
  19. Heh. It can indeed be really complex and messy. With smaller developers like the ones working on Unravel, they often have to wear many hats. Oftentimes you'll find the programmers, artists and even musicians having to do the marketing and the game pitching by themselves :p Besides, for all we know the NX could be a butt scratcher with no screen and with gameplay controls consisting of back and forth motion controls only :p NeXt? Nintendo X? (as in cross - for crossover), Nintendo Xtreeeeeemmmeee, Nintendo Xbox? I can think of a few possibilities :p
  20. Technically it's not really an analogy because making games IS actually their job, so what you're saying is actually literally happening in this case here
  21. A beautiful (and very timely!) setup! Simple and elegant! : peace: Oh I've got something similar to that. I have one of those Rose Coloured Gaming GBAs! I'll have to see if I can post a picture later on today, I love that little thing!
  22. NOE's Twitter icon in that picture... There it is! There's the hamster wheel turning
  23. Speaking a bit more seriously for a moment, I think Nintendo did a good job with supporting the newest Skylanders. The DK and Bowser Skylanders figures/Amiibos were a very sensible inclusion and it did have an appreciatable impact on sales. On top of that, they had a console bundle as well. The most important thing is that nothing was missing from this version either, and look! It did reletively well, despite the Wii U's small install base. It goes to show what a bit of marketing muscle can do for a game that would otherwise have probably been ignored. But if Nintendo do seriously want "proper" support from the likes of EA, they need to play the game that MS and Sony are playing. That means backhand moneyhats, exclusive marketing deals and console bundles, a push for the 10-25 male audience with their own games, sports sponsorship & full sports/multimedia app support, strong technical support from their own developers, moving their own release dates for their own games to support EA, sweetheart deals on licensing fee reductions, full support for all DLC/microtransactions/EA Access/what have you. In fact, so great is the chasm that not only do they need to match MS/Sony in these regards, they need to surpass what they're offering to get EA's attention. It's not their style, it's not what they want to do, but dem's the breaks. They either bend over backwards like MS and Sony do, or they don't get their support. Like I said before, Nintendo need EA far more than EA need Nintendo, so EA are the ones in the position of power here. If they want it, they need to put some seriously eye watering money behind this.
  24. From Japanese developers? On their handhelds? Sure. From large scale western developers?
  25. Oh yeah, I'm IN! this week of course!
