I REALLY wish I could get in on the experience and have my point average plummet faster than someone using this setup on Rainbow Road, but alas I am working this week :p Edit: Last week's highlights are now up! (This one is particularly brilliant ) Once again, a huge thanks goes to @RedShell for the especially excellent work he did this week! BTW, for those who watch the credits, there may be a little hint at something else coming very shortly...

The next big thing that gets this thread going will be the arguments about the frame on the NEShow I bet

WOO!!! I was just thinking about this game the other day! This one's gonna be awesome to play on Wii U. The touch screen will actually be big enough to make the touch screen controls awesome this time around!
-
So it's basically like a reverse Wii U? A handheld that can wirelessly beam video to a TV? Actually sounds believable! Wireless HDMI is indeed a thing, has been in development for a while and we know that the NX is based off the Wii U architecture; so the pieces do indeed fit! Haptic controllers sound cool, BUT... They also seem rather unlike Nintendo in that they have moving parts that can be broken... Nintendo take durability super seriously as we all know (hell it's one of the main reasons why they have refused to include HDD storage in their consoles for two gens on the trot now!); so it does call into question how they plan to tackle that...
-
Well then! Be sure to PM me your best attempt before NEShow Episode 3 comes out! (Which will probably be around the 13-15th of March). I have received some really solid attempts so far, but there's still plenty of room for improvement. So get cracking on mastering the BSL station and perfecting your shine sparking skills! That eShop voucher is still up for grabs! : peace:

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
True. Fair enough. You might still want to mention the lack of GB Printer support though (it's a shame it's not there. Would've been nice to see them do something like what they did with Pokemon Snap on Wii and have it save the images to 3DS Camera) Cool that you pointed out the altered flashes/strobe effects BTW @Serebii. Most people don't realise that Nintendo actually do make changes to certain stuff like that on Virtual Console Heh, I'm surprised that they didn't at least change the shade of grey. Nice to know that Jynx is still a little bit racist -
Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)

Ha ha! I like how it's a really strong shade of purple, just to make it obvious! (Yeah, yeah I know, GBC colour pallete limitations, but still. Tis funny) Any shots of Jynx in Red/Blue/Green? I wonder if they changed the sprite in those as well... Also, you might want to mention that the GB Printer is not supported in Pokemon Yellow and that save data can be transferred to Sun/Moon via Pokemon Bank as well -
Because that's what they usually do (see Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal and Black/White) And like others have said, the second games on the same hardware (Gen 2, Gen 5) are usually the best, because they don't have to start from zero on new hardware

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow are now out on the 3DS eShop! And not only that, but so is my latest instalment of A Matter of Age! (This time we delve into the realm of PEGI 7! We're getting rather nasty now, but we're still lower than Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, so these games are all still far more suitable for children than the sick filth that just came out on the 3DS eShop!) Enjoy! : peace: -

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Once they inevitably add Gen 2 to the 3DS VC and the Gen 3 and 4 games (RSE, FR/LG, DPP, HG/SS, BW/BW2) to the Wii U/NX VC, they'll no doubt join them as well -
So I saw! That definitely does lend credence to the rumour! Well I for one am looking forward to playing Zelda Wii U on the go on my NX Handheld!

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
You know that Nintendo/TPC spy on us! That's why they fixed everything we wanted in going from Gates to Infinity to Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon and that's why they'll give you a cool little glitch symbol on Pokemon Bank when you try and transfer Missingno to it (just like how they acknowledged you transferring Pokemon from RSE all the way through to ORAS) Oh! BTW. Something awesome! http://www.ntower.de/News/40193-Virtual-Console-Version-von-Pok%C3%A9mon-Gelb-enth%C3%A4lt-Minispiel-Pikachus-Strand/ Apparently the Surfing Pikachu minigame in Pokemon Yellow is now accessible without having to have Surfing Pikachu transferred from Pokemon Stadium! -
Lack of footage was very disappointing. Confirmation of being right about RBY transfers being possible makes up for that nicely though Chinese language support is awesome to see too!

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1785560&postcount=40 Wow! I get to activate Smug Mode twice in as many days? It must be my birthday or something! Looking forward to putting my Missingno into Bank (and then for its Mega Evolution it becomes 'M!) Whelp! Now we know how they're gonna balance Mega Rayray! (funny, we were literally just talking about that the other day ) -
Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Best bit is that these are just the PEGI 3 ones! Just wait till we get to PEGI 7 and 12 in the next two articles Typically, games that don't come out amongst the standard releases on a Thursday tend to get released at midnight on their respective dates, so I would guess that this also applies to RBY here. -
Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I fully expected it to be left untouched. Nintendo generally don't fix glitches in these Virtual Console re-releases and the emulation is accurate. But it's still nice to see it intact anyway Oh, BTW. I published a semi related article on the main page. A bit of a tongue in cheek look at games that have a lower PEGI rating than these Virtual Console re-releases. Enjoy! : peace: -
Pokedex 3D Pro uses the exact same models as Pokemon Gen 6 (in fact, that's where most of the models came from), has full S3D support, can handle up to 6 Pokemon onscreen simultaneously, has more detailed backgrounds, AR camera support simultaneously AND runs at a rock solid 30FPS in S3D, far better than Gen 6 on the same hardware. What's Game Freak's excuse? Ooh, good point! I can see them making Amiibo cards for the TCG... (they DID make eCard versions of them back in the GBA era...)
-
Same. It's a-typical of these second attempts on the same hardware to be hybrid games (GS were GBC enhanced and B/W were DSi enhanced) so I expect much the same here. That being said, it REALLY shouldn't need to be to fix the framerate problems. Even the standard 3DS hardware is far more capable than what XY/ORAS would suggest! They're not even good looking for the hardware it's on! A Link Between Worlds for instance looks significantly better than XY/ORAS AND effectively runs at more than 4 times the framerate while doing so (60FPS x 2 for S3D, while Gen 6 struggles to run at 30FPS in 2D only). Never mind Capcom's own efforts on 3DS like Resident Evil Revelations or the Monster Hunter games... Now I don't expect Game Freak to be able to reach the same standards as the likes of EAD or Capcom, but come on! They're literally getting lapped several times over! When you're trading blows with DS games in terms of fidelity... Pokemon X/Y: Nintendo 3DS 2013 Golden Sun Dark Dawn: Nintendo DS 2010 Pokemon X/Y: Nintendo 3DS 2013 Golden Sun Dark Dawn: Nintendo DS 2010 ... then you know you're doing something wrong!

The internet is not our friend tonight it seems. We have clearly angered the NetGods!

DC'd again right after Baby Park! This is crazy!

Damn! Got DC'd on Thwomp Ruins!

Heh, just remembered that Gen 6's announcement was leaked early as well, right before its own Direct. Suppose it's tradition at this point :p They'll have to quickly whip up an announcement of Pokemon Stadium on the Wii U VC with full Transfer Pak support so that they'll have something to show in this upcoming video now
