I was casually glancing at @Glen-i’s screen while you were playing last night and man... it REALLY made me want to play MonHun again...

Damn... that’s really sad. Guy was truly passionate about Street Fighter and generally did a good job with the poor hand he was always dealt. Like @Julius mentioned, this also seems to confirm the rumours about SF6 being cancelled and rebooted after going through development hell too... Guess that it’ll probably end up being swooped up by Sony again now... Let’s just hope that they don’t launch it in a half finished state this time!

Good news! The industry is much better off with more publishers rather than less... ...though the news of “restructuring” is not a pleasant one... Sounds like they plan on significantly downsizing their operations and might well be selling bits of the publisher off... piecemeal. I think it’s likely that they didn’t get the price they were asking for and are looking at selling the bits off that the other publishers are after; rather than as one big package.

Right! I’ve played them all now. Thoughts... @Vileplume2000 @Glen-i @RedShell @Sméagol The quality was REALLY high across the board this time! Everyone put out something amazing! My vote goes to @Sméagol this week though. It’s just such an amazing idea, brilliantly executed. Genuinely annoyed that I never thought of it myself! Who’d a thunk that you could make a Majora’s Mask style course in Mario Maker!? Absolutely brilliant! Oh... BTW? Glen sucks...

I’d just really like to thank @RedShell for this month’s theme. These limitations were a ton of fun to work with and proved to be both maddening & entertaining in equal measure! Really enjoyed knocking up this month’s course!

Can't help but feel that they've been handed a bit of a bum deal here... Hope it works out for them. A game where you play as the bad guys has a lot of potential to be a lot of fun, but the Suicide Squad brand is a bit rotten right now...

Got my CleanJuice battery set up in my GBA. Mostly painless, but the instructions on the website neglect to mention that you have to trim off the plastic tab on the right side of the battery compartment to get the rechargeable battery to fit. Doh! Otherwise? I’m very happy with it! Works as advertised! Pretty sweet that I can use the same charger as my Switch on my GBA now!

That's basically been the entierty of the Switch's generation for us Wii U owners really. Even the "sequels" are basically just glorified ports with extra content (Mario Maker 2. I love you, but I have to call a spade a spade here); while almost all of the genuine original games were actually cancelled Wii/Wii U titles to begin with (I'm looking at you Luigi's Mansion 3 and Nintendo Labo!). Switch will end up having basically no legacy to call its own by the end. It's basically a portable Wii U. And honestly? I can't really blame them. I would've done exactly the same thing if I were in their position. It would be outright stupid to let all those finished games and incredibly expensive assets just languish on a complete failure of a system like Wii U. The biggest tragedy over the past few years is just how much Nintendo EPD's production capacity has absolutely tanked since the merger between EAD & SPD (which is what has necessaitated this reliance on existing Wii U games and assets to begin with). This whole merger has been a gargantuan failure; and I'm pinning the blame on Namco for this. But still? I'm really hungry for a good action adventure game and though I've played Pikmin 3 before? The new content looks promising enough to warrent another purchase for me. I LOVE Pikmin 3 and the idea of having more of that? I'll yum that up!

Absolutely MONSTROUS results! Just utterly unbelievable! The only bad thing I have to say is that I'm disappointed at the poor legs on Luigi's Mansion 3 and Mario Maker 2... Everything else is performing incredibly though!

Oh nice! They're adding a new Piklopedia to this Deluxe version! I loved the Piklopedia in Pikmin 2! Fantastic that we're getting one for Pikmin 3 now

To be fair, Pikmin 3 was always originally designed as a single screen experience to begin with (Remember, it was originally in development for the Wii, before it was moved to Wii U). While it'll be a shame to not have the second screen; it wouldn't be game changing/breaking to not have it here. The big, major feature with Pikmin 3 was always the Wii Remote Plus controls; and there's no reason why they can't be replicated with the Joycons here. (They had better have Joycon motion control support here, because the Pro Controller controls are absolutely godawful in this game!)

Welcome to COVID. Nintendo are only releasing games that were done and finished before the pandemic. Don’t expect much else for the rest of the year.

About bloody time!! Nintendo have had this kept locked up in their vaults for over a year now! Expect Super Mario 3D World Deluxe to follow shortly.
