  1. Day 8: Best Musical Moment My vote goes to the moment where you obtain the Fully Powered Suit in Metroid Zero Mission. The Hunted becomes The Hunter That moment when you finally get your Fully Powered Suit; after being relentlessly hunted by the Space Pirates in your PJs... and then THAT music kicks in as you proceed to completely decimate the Space Pirate ship in retaliation! Fucking Theraputic! All of a sudden it grants a whole new level of understanding behind the Space Pirate’s fear of Samus in the Metroid Prime games!
  2. Trailer...
  3. Day 7: Favourite Ranged Combat It’s gotta be Resident Evil 4... but particularly, Resident Evil 4 Headshot Edition Wii Edition. An Accurate depiction of this game No game has more satisfying, compelling or FUN ranged combat! And I will fight you on this! And no third person shooter has such fantastic level & enemy design and pacing. Just absolutely masterful execution all around (that is only elevated even further by the amazing Wii Remote controls!)
  4. https://game.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/interview/1262702.html Looks like it'll cost around 12,800 yen, includes 36(!) SEGA arcade games from various arcade platforms and is due for release at end of 2020... IT HAS FUCKING GOLDEN AXE: REVENGE OF DEATH ADDER!!!!!!!!! (Cue internal screaming at it coming to this and not SEGA AGES Switch)
  5. RE4’s opening is a great shout and I’m shocked that nobody else mentioned it!
  6. Super Monkey Ball is the last game I would ever describe as chill; but ok!
  7. Day 6: Most Relaxing Navigation It's gotta be Birdman from Pilotwings 64... Pure Tranquility Wind Waker's sailing is a close second, but nothing quite nails the feeling of pure tranquility like flying over Little States as the Birdman
  8. While I'm happy to be the winner, I don't really want to do two themes in a row... feels a bit lame... So I am officially delegating this month's theme to @Glen-i. Now that he's back with us, it seems fair to give him another chance to come up with a theme I reckon.
  9. I've not bought from them before; but if you're interested in an IPS modded GBA (which you should be!), you want to make sure that you're getting an IPS screen from Funnyplaying (they're the ones making the new IPS screen mod). I actually bought my IPS GBA pre-modded directly from them; but sadly it seems that they're not currently selling pre-modded units for whatever reason... There's plenty of places where you can buy pre-modded GBAs though.
  10. As a GDC video aimed at developers? It's not even particularily detailed. If I were a developer, I'd want more concrete details than what they showed anyway. It didn't work on either front. But that's really water under the bridge now anyway. Their proper blowout video was pretty solid (and they were smart not to talk about pricing just yet... because that's gonna be a huge body blow to their audience when it does eventually come out). Right now, Sony and MS are playing a game of chicken with their price announcements. Neither one wants to go first because they both know that the cost of their premium consoles will be coming at a premium to match... I think that Microsoft will ultimately go first though. They will inevitably have the advantage on that front with Lockhart and they know it (and will be leaving Sony caught in the middle in terms of both price and performance).
  11. Likewise. I'm pretty sure that the Pocket isn't coming out this year anymore though...
  12. So it seems that the new run of the Analogue NT Mini (The NT Mini Noir) is actually not just a rebadged version of the previous model, but is actually a substantial upgrade over the original... There's also a new option in the menu that supports the Analogue DAC... which hints at them planning a cost-reduced version that is more along the lines of the Super NT and the Mega SG! Let's hope they do, because $499.99 for an Analogue NES is outrageous, no matter how fancy the casing and Analog RGB output features are. Gimme a simplified HDMI-only model like the Super NT and you have my money Analogue!
  13. It's available on Switch's NSO SNES Selection RIGHT NOW! Go re-live your Xmas 93 memories you fool!
  14. Bugger me! Someone else remembers Through The Dragon's Eye!? I bloody LOVED the BBC Micro game and the TV show as a kid!! I had the game in my old school and played it TO DEATH as a little one!
  15. It probably stuck with you because it was originally a Yoshi game before Nintendo rejected Argonaut's pitch
  16. Hey guys, bit late to the party, but what the hell! I'll chip in with some of my own memories! There we go! All caught up! BTW, good shout for Alfred Ashford @Ugh first aid, I would've thought he'd be forgotten in the shuffle; so I'm glad that he got his dues! (not within the context of the game though, that's actually pretty sad what happens to him).
  17. Just found out about this recently... https://retrosix.co.uk/CleanJuice-USB-C-Battery-Pack-Game-Boy-Advance-p195931214 You can now get a modern USB-C battery pack for the original GBA model! Runs for 15+ hours plus, even with the new IPS Backlight screen mod installed! VERY interested in this... except right now, it doesn't currently allow the battery indicator to work properly (The light just stays green until it switches off the GBA). Soon as they fix this (which is apparantly happening in the next batch), I am SO copping one of these!
  18. Got it. Thanks!
  19. Check a look guys!
  20. It’s everyone... https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/06/nintendo_scraps_the_sale_of_digital_game_download_codes_at_european_retailers It sucks
  21. Well, their E3 slate of games was supposed to have already have been announced by now; so they could announce literally anything from that fold. Rightfully, the next game they announce should be Pikmin 3 DX, but it could also be SM3DW DX (or whatever this Mario Collection thing is supposed to be).
  22. That's exactly what it means... It's bollocks. I've saved tons of money buying digital games from retailers like Shopto and all! The ride was fun while it lasted
  23. Well... ... shit.
  24. My boy Ike got some NICE buffs too! I like this update!
  25. Game Sack have already done a review of it... Looks like it's not as polished as the Mega SD, but it is a bit cheaper.
