Sure, just how it lead to the end of games like Bayonetta! Speaking of which... I would think that Nintendo would not allow the Umbra Witch to be snatched away from them by anyone else... (Likewise, they’d surely want a stake in Sonic at the very least)

https://www.resetera.com/threads/sega-is-splitting-its-console-pc-and-pachinko-businesses-into-2-different-companies-owned-by-sega-sammy.369741/ Oh shit... SEGA are being separated from the Sammy side? Looks like Sammy are setting up to sell SEGA...

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light (4th December 2020)

That’s exactly what I did; worked well for me. BTW, don’t discount Draug! I gave home a speed ring and the boots earlier. He’s now a speedy, far moving and incredibly destructive tank! (It’s great fun seeing him double shot cavaliers and even some mercenaries!) who can reliably block anything! As far as the story goes? I always had the impression that the story we see in-game on the NES is the abridged version of what is actually a much more in-depth story. We only see the battles, but nothing that happens in-between; and I always felt that it was intentionally done to create a story that felt far more grandiose than what could actually be told within the limitations of the NES & its small cartridge space. That’s, of course, where the DS remake comes in, which nicely fills in the blanks in between the battles of the story. -
I only played it for the first time just about 3 or 4 years ago or so and absolutely loved it! It's nowhere near as deep as the likes of Star Fox 64, but it's a really good rail shooter with an absolutely unique and unparalleled atmosphere. Also, Panzer Dragoon Saga is one of the best RPGs ever made; end of. Played that one for the first time just a few years ago and I absolutely loved it from start to finish! That game absolutely puts up a fair fight against the likes of FF7 without even trying to put up a fight; there really is nothing quite like it!

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light (4th December 2020)

38 turns later, Chapter 17 is done! Was using it as an Experience Point Factory as it has infinitely spawning reinforcements! Fantastic! ... Until I realised that I had inadvertedly burnt through almost my entire supply of weapons in and out of my convoy! Literally me Better hope that there are some decent shops coming up soon... or else I'm fucked! On the plus side, I did at least manage to snag the VIP card... too bad I fucked up and forgot to equip the master key onto Julian (my thief) and had to bolt out of the chapter ASAP; so I couldnt open the door to the secret shop in that chapter! (But that's ok, there are much better secret shops yet to come) -
Can’t imagine that Dontnod’s heavy LGBT representation will go unscathed if Tencent are looking to get their upcoming games also released in China...

Yeah, it’s a real shame that the remake didn’t turn out better. The really sad part here though, is that it wasn’t for lack of trying. The developers at Forever Entertainment were clearly passionate about the original game, and clearly tried their best here (the fact that they actually managed to recreate the original FMV cutscenes on such a tiny budget is remarkable!); but it’s clear that they bit off more than they could possibly chew. Quite frankly, they needed a much bigger team and a much bigger budget if they were to have any true hope of doing the original game justice. Panzer Dragoon was a AAA game back in its day, and a small indie remake could never hope to do it justice.

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light (4th December 2020)

20 is the level limit here as well. I haven’t used any promotional items myself yet (I’m on chapter 17); but I’m cognisent that I’m not far from the end of the game now... There literally isn’t enough time in the game for you to max out anyone’s level (due to the fixed experience point system used in this game; rather than the experience point system used in future titles) unless you’re planning to solo the game; so it’s probably better for you to use it sooner rather than later really. Also worth noting that you don’t actually get enough promotional items for everyone; so not every unit can actually be promoted... Choose wisely! -
Wouldn't surprise me if it happened TBH. But hey! It wouldn't be a Ubisoft-Nintendo collab if there wasn't some sort of leak!

And that’s why I binned my Devil Axes immediately after I got them. That gives me an excuse to post this gem of a video again... And yes, Ogma is a monster; thoroughly outclassing Navarre in every single way. BTW: Why are you actually using Jagen? You do know that he’s largely a waste of EXP right? -
New trailer! Looks like you unlock an arranged mode of sorts after beating the game (on the second loop maybe?) Looks brill! Can't wait to die over and over again!

Hyrule Warriors is canon because it explains how every race appears in BOTW and how places from all of the main Zelda games show up in some form in BOTW. Hyrule Warriors is the grand rejoining together of the three Zelda timelines. Then BOTW happens after, then Age of Calamity screws up the timeline all over again by rewriting BOTW’s history through even more timey wimey nonsense!

I agree. New thread is better than recycling old tat.

That's not the aquisition that's upcoming... That's just Tuesday for them. The big one is yet to come... (And my money is on it being WBIE)

I didn’t really like RE7 (It basically had no meaningful gameplay outside of shooting things), and unfortunately it looks like RE8 is following suit; so it’s a writeoff for me here. RE2 Remake was pretty great though (outside of it taking itself too seriously and sucking all the fun out of the characters & story - oh, and it had basically no music either; had to play it with the original PS1 soundtrack!). More of that please! (But a new game, leave RE4 alone!!!) Hoping that the other upcoming RE game turns out to be much more interesting... (first one was great, second one sucked, third one... ???)
-
The former.

Damn, that sucks... Sorry to hear that. Yeah, the GCN region switch mod isn't easy. It's part of the reason why I never bothered with it myself (I just use a Freeloader/Action Replay). Hoping your next attempt fares a bit better!

Say what you will about Microsoft, but they are the most willing to listen to consumer feedback and are far more willing to actually act on it than either Nintendo or Sony. They've also made some great strides over the past few years with some fantastic initiatives that I wish that Nintendo & Sony would do! They are also the most transparant about what they plan to do (for better or worse). We all know that Game Pass is a trojan horse for the eventual removal of game ownership (and even bespoke hardware, as Xbox transitions into becoming a service, rather than a hardware platform); and that the price of Game Pass will inevitably increase. They are following squarely in Netflix's footsteps, and they're not shy about admitting that. For however "anti-consumer" Microsoft have been? At least they're honest; and don't actively try to mislead their customers. That's far more than I can say of most other game publishers & platform holders.

Wait? WTF!? What’s going on here? If this was intentional, it was a really stupid idea! This doesn’t make them look good, it makes them look clueless and reactive as they desperately try to cover up their arses in public. It feels like the whole online-only thing with Xbone all over again.

Uh-oh...

Very cool! Really nice and elegent!

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light (4th December 2020)
Dcubed replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It's like six quid! Might as well give it a go! Even if just for the novelty of having a brand new, NES game with a modern localisation and experiencing a genuine piece of Nintendo history. Worst case scenario? You're out two Big Macs. -
Wow! That is absoutely outrageous! So much for them getting rid of XBL Gold! This is blatantly, and transparantly a move to push people onto Game Pass Ultimate. They will then eventually get rid of XBL Gold and then force people to have GPUltimate before eventually raising the price of Game Pass across the board to make it sustainable in the long term. Sony did exactly the same Trojan Horse strategy with Playstation Plus, before they eventually made it mandatory for online play on PS4.
