  1. Esequel can you please link the wiki page in your first post for people like Dan Dare. There are still lots of people who don'tunderstand the game and find it intimidating. People are obviously finding the mafia thing a bit confusing (too many games, too many sign ups, nobody knows the rules). Please go to the Suggestions thread to voice your opinions so we can get it all sorted out.
  2. Haha.... people should watch Little Miss Sunshine. That film is pure GOLD. Also (going totally out on a limb here) I'm not totally sure that lolicon is wrong.
  3. I agree, I think that we should start having a seperate board. Maybe then we could have RPG take off and also things like BISH could go there (and maybe Jayseven wouldn't have to organise it by himself!) and more stuff that I'm sure that we will get going. For the moment can we have a thread that at least shows a list of the order of the mafia games? I'm getting totally confused. Also maybe a sticky about the the rules beacuse there are still a lot of people who are interested but having got a sodding clue how it works. There have been some threads which were kind of an FAQ but they have disappeared off the frront page.
  4. This discussion is weird, I find it strange that no one seems to be seperating child porn, loli and paedophilia all that much. Am I the only one who finds it worse that we (UK) sexualise kids openly, dressing them in crop tops and g-strings with "so many men, so little time" printed on them compared to printing young looking manga characters? Obviously child porn is disturbed because it takes advantage of young children but I'm not sure that the arguement that "loli leads to paedophilia" is solid at all. Like I have said above, I think that what happens with the children in this country encourages paedophilia just as much if not more so. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a much bigger paedophilia problem here.
  5. Yeah, PS3 will suffer with the problems of it's predecessor as it is just as hard to code for, if not more so. It's the reason why there have been so many delays. Once devs get used to the code then the games will start to churn out.
  6. Murray, Kings Cross is right next door (literally the building next door) to St Pancras, in fact I think you can walk underground to get between them. Kings X is the best underground station to get to pretty much anywhere in London. You migh want to ask which bit of Hyde Park people are going to be at, because as I remember, there are actually 4 stations around Hyde Park, one on each corner.
  7. Many times I have woken up in bed, spent about a minute coming around fully and then look over at my alarm clock and then the alarm goes off a moment later...
  8. With you bro : peace: Not disappointed. You should probably read my comment with an amount of "oh please god no..." in it.
  9. It's a shame that you people don't like it. For me it's a very beautiful film and I think that the acting is perfect because it is understated. They are such an unlikely pair and I love how they play in the grey area between friends and more. Must admit that I share Oxigen's view though, I find it hard to understand how you didn't enjoy it but if you didn't, you didn't. And that line about "nothing happens" is crap, plenty happens between the characters emotionally and in the sub-text. The film deals with so many subjects all at once! Action/thriller flicks may be more your bag Murray.
  10. Nice job Tom! Looks like a really prefessional finish you got there. How did you shelter the indicator?
  11. It's a hard question that I've asked myself before. I think changing the handling would be a major step. If you compare it to other racing games, the difference in handling between cars and different terrains seems very minor. Maybe they should stray it away from the Kart idea and make it a bit more rally-ish? It is a hard franchise to extend though, especially when I think about the original. To me SMK was a really brave shot in the dark, for instance if someone pitched me the concept for it, I would have been highly dubious. But it DID appeal and I think that Nintendo are finding it hard to figure out just what it was that worked well and how to progress that.
  12. Oh noooooes... don't say that Haggis, he's enough of a narcissist already! That was a fun party, wish I felt like I could have relaxed more or gone a bit more crazy.
  13. Shut up Dazzy. If you read my posts properly you would realise that I think that what I have been saying has all been in my opinion only. I really can't stand it when people say "HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT!!!!!111" when it's obvious that I just did. Why would I even bring up the points I did if I didn't think it was the case?
  14. Nigel Slater is the man for me. Really great approach to food because its all made to be really tasty and homely.
  15. Started watching Eureka 7, kind of a Mecha Anime by Bones. It's a very coming of age kind of tale but generally the story is pretty wishy washy. It's got an interesting edge to the mecha idea as it's all based on sky surfing on "Trapar", this magical wind stuff, and all of the characters are kind of skatery-surfer people in the way they dress. The collection of personalities is quite cool and the crew on the ship do feel like a family to the main character. Anyone else seen this?
  16. Cube is right, it's a classic scenario that demonstrates and quantifies "cheating behaviour". This is a very important part of social ecology and social structure in many animals. Supergrunch or someone will probably be able to quote the full test. Most important peice of info is whether these guys are going to see each other again? I guess if the answer is no then you could also argue that the audience will see him around or talk about him so by stealing he actually damges his social standing/links. But lets face it, who really gives a fuck about people anymore?
  17. Ah crap I missed Tapedeck's bd?! Happy returns anyway matey! Best gaming moment in general? Playing OOT for the first time, cliched but true. Such a huge immersive world in 3 dimensions. Also picking up the cart out of the box and thinking "Christ this is HEAVY!" Adrenaline moment (PC unfortunately): Condemned. Can't explain to you quite how this game makes you feel. I have never felt so vunerable or agressed anything like how this game made me feel. You come off with so much adrenaline in your veins that you feel like you have actually just been in a real fight. And to top it off: Beating my brother at any game. He was a wanker when we were little. Beating my 5yr elder was the bomb.
  18. Yeah but you can't read back through a converstation. Also it's a topic of discussion which has dwindled so it has ended for a time, bumping only brings new points to light usually.
  19. Don't worry Eenuh, mine doesn't fit me at all either. I'll tell you what is pretty accurate about me though, both my Starsign and my Chinese Starsign. I'm a Cancerian and from the year of the rat.
  20. Should see my reply to that post... This happened before the Wii came out and just as the GBA version was coming out. Got GBA version but it still feels like it should be played on a SNES (GBA cart also got nabbed). But yeah I do have it VC now, just incase anyone else wants to play it.
  21. You see I never really had a chance to any of the online gaming as such. Still not enough people play games enough for me to warrant spending some serious time on an online game (most of them are plugged into WoW). I really wanted to play my friends over wifi as I have no real interest in playing against randoms but the only opportunity I would have really got would be to play people on these boards and I just don't feel like I know anyone well enough to do that. Maybe battle would be better against randoms but I don't really have that much time to game. Guess I am just in a particular situation that many other people don't share. @Rummy - MarioKart has stayed essentially the same from MK64 in my eyes and MKDD and MKDS were very similar with different content. I'm starting to think that a game can stay fresh if you play a great original and then a smiliar sequel based off that. Any games after this must be quite different or the franchise feels tired. You brought up Zelda, which I think is a perfect example of a tired franchise as TP is the 4th game which is, gameplay wise essentially the same. Sure visual styles may give it some life but a reinvention is required for me to buy another one of those games. Why should I buy a game that I basically already own, 4 times over?
  22. The memory on my cartridge of LoZ:LttP is screwed... can't ever play it again without it being one sitting... Am cry
