Info on the net seems scarce so it's probably new. After cashback it should be a cracking bargain! (£108.80)

It's made with more powerfull systems in mind. Resi 4 was built for the Gamecube, the enviroments were built based on what the Gamecube could handle. By that i mean the whole setting for Resi 5 will be more visually taxing than Resi 4 was. You're looking at African plains here, not a Spanish village. The whole concept is more challenging on the hardware. Im not saying it WILL look shit, just pointing out that there is reason why you can't just "port it to the Resi 4 engine"

I don't think i could kill someone tbh, not with intent any way. Hurt them yes. Badly. Taking a scalpel to someones kneecap would be more effective. Then again, thats torture, not killing... True. So true. I'd rather keep someone alive with a constant reminder of what they did than have them dead. Killing them would set them free, leaving them unable to wipe they're own arse is true punishment!

I would think Resi 5 will make it to a Nintendo console, but it's highly unlikely to be the Wii. Current rumours put the PS3 and 360 versions at Xmas 2009, a Wii version could easily be another year behind that (which would make sense if they plan to re-do 0, 1, 2, 3 and CVX). By then would there really be any point? Im sure the next gen Ninty console could run a direct port. It is technically possible to port Resi 5, but theres a difference between something being technically possible and something being sensible. IMO a Wii2 launch title for sure...

The HMV deal is better, you can go and get it in-store on Friday and some people will get 10% off it too (student discount). Im gonna go for Sainsburys as usual. Hopefully they get the game in, because they usually have new releases at £34.99 - 10% staff discount

tbh im not sure why there are 2 options. Viiv is just a collection of standard technologies designed for media centres but im pretty sure it's standard in Core2Duo. Choose "No Monitor" and order one yourself from ebuyer/scan along with the graphics card. That cheap 19" monitor that Dell bundle with they're PCs isn't worth the £110 that they charge you for it. You can get good LG and Asus monitors for around the same price, Samsung for a few quid more. As for graphics card, but whatever. Things are so close between the 3850, 3870 and 9600GT that it will barely make any difference anyway. They'll all run most games max'd out and they'll all go out of date around the same time.

The 3650 performs on a par with the 2600XT, in fact it's like 2 or 3 frames per second slower. Overall it's a better card though, as DCK said, if you can find the GDDR3 model for the same price as the 2600XT then get that instead. Don't pay much more though, a few quid at most.

Meaning our second round is gonna be bloody hard... Towards the end of the week is better for me, im off work Thursday and Friday + i need to get some practice in before we play (just a few hours to get used to the game again)
