I hate you all and you're happy Brawl owning-ness 2 days to go, then i have the horrible situation of Brawl sitting at home and a Wii with games + stuff sitting in my work locker while i do an 8 hour shift. I won't finish til 9:30pm, it's gonna be torture!

If you're in full time education then you're contributing to society, therefore you deserve the benefits you're entitled to. In this day and age of the Internet only in extreme cases of illness and disability can someone not work at all. If someone genuinely can't work then fair enough, they should be given enough money to live comfortably (i.e. more then a lot of them get at the moment).
-
Yes. It says "OMG! I wish i looked that good!" :p
-
Also every household should have to contribute to society. Make it a requirement of recieving benefits. If nobody in the house has a job then they should be required to do volunteer work and "community service" until they get one. This way they are effectively earning the benefits they are being given.

Wii Freeloader Thread - FAQ & Info in First Post

You ain't spending £300 on a Wii and games though :p Me buying a Wii isn't really down to Brawl, i could have resisted that. It's the combo of Brawl, Fire Emblem and No More Heroes all coming out at the same time Add in to the mix Mario Galaxy and Ghost Squad and i was always gonna break! -
What exactly is the difference between the EU and US versions of this game? Is it just gore? Any vids showing the difference? I need to decide which one to get, price is a non-issue as i can get both versions for £25 each.

No new cars with a fuel consumption of under 50 miles per gallon. Obviously not put in to place instantly, but phased in over time. The technology is there but the manufacturers currently gain nothing from it's costly implementation. I'd go for something like: 6 Months - No new cars with less than 35mpg 18 Months - 40mpg 3 Years - 45mpg 5 Years 50mpg Then with a 10 year plan of phasing out ALL cars below 35mpg. Probably through taxation.

So you teach Children the Law whilst making them aware of all Religions, but without being influenced by they're parent's views on Religion? That is an impossible task, even before you look at how to enforce it! In theory it's fine, but how exactly do you teach kids how to think without teaching them what to think? It's impossible, how to think comes from the experience of knowing what to think. You can't remove all influence created by Society whilst still teaching a Child what to think. I'll be honest here Fish and say that i really don't like you're political views. You basically want to make laws to force people to think Liberally, taking society back 700 years to the days of The Pope and enforced Religion. I see this happening a lot in politics at the moment and i really, really don't like it. Religion has a new face, and it's a damn sight uglier than it was before
-
So who's views do you push on them instead then? The State's? Or do you let them work things out for themselves? Children need to be taught right from wrong by they're parents, religion is a way of doing this. It's healthy to the development of a child, it builds boundaries and feeds the imagination. There are far more dangerous things that actually are legal. The harm the weed can do is pretty debatable anyway, as with anything it's only harmful when people abuse it. Take it in moderation and Marijuana won't cause lasting damage. The same prinipal goes for food. Eat too much and you get fat and die from heart failure. Eat the right amount an you're fine.

Mikey, i think the problem here is that you taint all "feminists" with the same view. A feminist, buy definition, is someone who wants women to have equal rights to men. Anyone who wants women to have equal rights to men is therefore a feminist. The problem you have is with feminist extremist groups, who do exist and actually have quite a lot of members. On this point, fair enough. They are evil witches who should be burned at the stake Sauce? I've never had any experience of this, if someone is being paid more than someone else there is usually a reason. It could be that one party is more qualified, has more experience or has simply been at the company longer. Bare in mind that you're salary can fall if you take a career gap, which does include leaving to have a child.

Freeloader and Brawl ordered from 365Games with Next Day delivery. £6 is more than i wanted to pay for delivery, but im not certain it would make it this week even with 1st Class postage. Assuming 365 have enough stock then there's still the combo of it being both a busy and a very short postal week. Im gettin my Wii on Tuesday, staff discount is going up to 20%! Wii for £144 -
I'm up for kicking you're ass. If you're around over Easter weekend i'll play you then, it's been 3 years since i last played Melee so i need a few days to remember my way around the controls If you want some assistance in being strong we can always ban you from the Smash threads? Im being serious here, not threatening, we actually can do it if you'd like

Wii Freeloader Thread - FAQ & Info in First Post
McPhee replied to DiemetriX's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Im buying a Wii tomorrow. Just got to decide whether to buy Smash + Freeloader on the net, or pay the rip-off prices the indie shop in the town has (£48 for Brawl + £15 for the Freeloader). Getting the console for £153 and i've then got about £130 of stuff to trade in. Getting Ghost Squad, Fire Emblem and a Wiimote + Nunchuck, then i've got another £45-ish to spend. I need 2 GC controllers, 1 LAN Adaptor, 1 Freeloader and Brawl. Or i might go for 2 or 3 games, depending on prices. Im really tempted to get Brawl tomorrow and then buy a couple of GC controllers, but the price is a bloody rip-off! GAH! Hopefully i can talk the guy in to a deal... -
This game just looks beautiful! It might well be the best looking fighter ever made, i just hope it plays as well...
-
I can't wait! It will be the first GTA game i own, although i've played every one apart from 3 and the PSP one. It'll probably be my next 360 purchase, i can't see me having the money for Vegas 2
-
Im pretty sure it can, it's been talked about in the past for other purposes. I know i'd like to see it trialled, after all it can't really do any harm...

The only reason prostitution is on the streets over here is because Brothels are illegal and easy to shut down. Prostitutes aren't stupid, they know the risks. Legalise prostitution and you legalise Brothels, at which point these women fill form them in order to give themselves protection. And a Feminist isn't someone who seeks equal pay to men. They seek equal rights, the more extreme among them even believe they are above men. Out of curiosity Fish, do you plan on making some points of you're own in here? Or are you just here to spin what Mikey says so it works against him?

Calm down lads...

Pointless? Oh, you mean like Mario Kart DS is pointless, yeah?

It's all down to freedom of choice though isn't it? And they way things are going that will become very limited. Everything that could cause harm to someone is slowly being made illegal, we're being wrapped up in cotton wool just in case we get hurt. The question is: why? Life is about risks, not sitting in front of some TV screen rotting you're mind to mush. I'd like to see the government pull back on Social and Civil affairs and concentrate on Crime. We should be free to make our own choices as long as it doesn't impose upon the human rights of others.

No date on Rock Band at all May is probably a sound bet. Hopefully something will be revealed at Play.com Live...

Agree completely. To be honest it's the freedom of the media that is ruining British politics. The media has it's own agenda, both political and financial and due to them being stupidly powerfull in this country they have way too much influence on policy. I've never understood why so many people don't trust politicians yet trust the papers. At the end of the day the politicians are doing what they think is right for the country, they have no other agenda (bar a certain amout of personal ambition). They make mistakes, but they're hearts are usually in the right place.

Well as it's really hard to find the Zapper or Perfect Shot im gonna leave it for now. I'll try the game out with the naked remote for a while, then probably pick up both shells
