That's what I like to hear. Though I will have to spend some money on a a screen and a keyboard and all that stuff, too. An operating would be nice... I guess. I figured I'd build it myself, because it can't be that hard, right? ... Right? No idea how to pick a case. I worry about not being able to fit everything inside.

I finally have the money to build the computer of my dreams, so I looked around a bit and realized that I have no idea what I'm doing whatsoever. All I know is that I need something to play games on that isn't this hunk of junk laptop (What's that? You're trying to grind in Shin Megami Tensei on an emulator while watching Orange is the New Black? Hahaha. *FPS drops to single digits in Shin Megami Tensei and the screen freezes in Orange is the New Black*). I'm looking to spend, erm... whatever's reasonable? £1,000-1,500 or something. I assume that should cover everything I'll need.

That's very strange. I think this demands a long (and thorough) explanation.

Isn't that basically what DayZ is?

It's no Call of Duty, that's for sure.

I dreamt that I saw @The Peeps at the grocery store, but he didn't see me and I couldn't be bothered trying to get his attention.

Pretty much everything, honestly. :p The characters are extremely one-note ("likes donuts", "nerd", "thinks he's better than everyone else"), and as soon as anyone gets any kind of character development, they end up dead shortly after, since the game only really focuses on characters when they're involved in a murder somehow, which usually means they're either the victim or the murderer. Like Phoenix Wright, every chapter is focused around a murder, but unlike Phoenix Wright, the cases are extremely predictable, to the point where you'll often figure out exactly how the murder went down almost immediately. The gameplay's awful. The trials are really gimmicky - rather than just show the right evidence at the right time, you have to shoot a 'truth bullet' at the false statement... and that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to awful mini-games. I really ended up hating the trials because of this. Between trials, you get a chance to spend time with the other characters, kind of like the social links in Persona 4. Once you've spent enough time with them, you'll unlock rewards that make the trial mini-games easier. There are two problems with this: 1) There are only so many opportunities to spend time with characters and they die at an alarming rate, so your precious time will often have been completely wasted when the character dies before you get a chance to max their social link, and 2) Spending time with the characters is so boring. Since all of the character development takes place in the main story, they have absolutely nothing of interest to say when you speak with them outside of that. The main story's okay, but ultimately not that interesting - and it stays in the background for most of the game, anyway. There are a couple of good twists, but nothing on the level of Virtue's Last Reward, where I consistently had my mind blown. But as I said, none of this seems to bother NeoGAF, so maybe it's just me.

Danganronpa (sheesh, it's not that hard! :p ) borrows inspiration from Zero Escape and Phoenix Wright, but isn't anywhere near as good as either series. I found the game really disappointing, so you may want to temper your expecations. Then again, NeoGAF seems to absolutely love it, so your mileage may vary.

I guess it would be pretty funny if they announced a PS4 version before the game is released on the Xbone.

Hopefully the gameplay is deeper than build staircase -> finish level this time around. I'm always in the mood for some good stealth.
-
Well, I think if Squeenix had decided to cease development on the new Tomb Raider ("welp, the last game only sold, like, four million copies, I guess that's that") and Microsoft had stepped in and paid for the game to be finished and the game would have been Xbone exclusive because of that, there would have been far less uproar. But what do I know. PS4 owners are all big babies anyway.
-
Yes, that's a good example of the complete opposite of this situation.

This is clearly the right move if they're looking to grow the series after the success of the previous game. I feel sorry for their PR person who has to make this sound like good news, though. "It's okay, guys! You're still getting Temple of Osiris! The game's not that good anyway."

I assumed he was talking about the members of the forum.

CBS must feel terrible for cancelling The Crazy Ones now.

Erm, clearly not?

No, he hates it. But he also hates you, so that's why he's happy you bought it.

Yeah, I have no particular interest in the LEGO games, but if I were going to play them, I'd rather play them on the PS3 in co-op. Yeah, we're getting LEGO Harry Potter. :p
-
Erm, didn't we just get a LEGO game last month? And they're not even supposed to be good ports... Well, maybe Metrico will make up for it.

I guess with Shortpacked! ending, someone had to take its place. Now to keep updating three days a week for the rest of your life.

It's probably worth noting that Arkham Origins on smartphones is a cheap tie-in game with in-app purchases and not the same game that was released on other systems.

You'd think having Garrus ask you how things are with you and Liara wouldn't be that difficult to program, but then I don't work at BioWare.
