It feels so presumptuous to ask strangers to join your fire team, so I just played most of the campaign on my own. Sometimes I'd run into people who were around my level and appeared to be playing the same mission as me, and I'd be, like, "yay, friends", but then we'd go through a door and they'd dissipate into thin air for no apparent reason. I can see how you'd get more out of the game if you were into all the multiplayer stuff, but as someone who was just playing this for the campaign, I was very underwhelmed. I guess I was expecting this game to have varied missions? Or at least a story to speak of. Joke's on me, I suppose. But I can't complain too much since I was buying a PS4 anyway, so Destiny essentially cost me £1.5. :p

I had more fun with this tonight, after I asked some random person who appeared to be playing the same mission as me to join me. The endless firefights aren't nearly as overbearing when you're playing with someone else.

Okay, I'll stick with the 280x. The box is a nicer color, anyway. Now I just have to wait until my power supply arrives, since the post office decided to send it on a detour to the wrong address.

So my brother just had to go and ruin this by buying a Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X graphics card the moment he saw that I was building a new computer. Obviously this is bothering me a lot. Is it worth upgrading from my measly Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Dual-X card before I start putting this thing together or should I stick with what I have, safe in the knowledge that my computer will be much better than his anyway (the rest of his components are about two years old)?

Why? Bungie's been developing games for the 360 for seven years and the PS3 architecture is completely different.

Cube is right that you should get the game on whichever platform your friends are getting it on (so... PS4? :p), but failing that, Bungie has a lot more experience with the 360, so that version is supposed to look a lot better.

Well, I do want to outdo Shorty... But yeah, £30 isn't a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, so I'll probably go with the thing you said. The i something something k or whatever. @MoogleViper, okay, assume I'm going with Bard's recommendation - which motherboard should I buy? I thought I'd be able to find one based on what you said, but there are too many and I don't know what the difference is between them other than the price.

It would be hilarious if, after not localizing the last five Dragon Quest games, they decide to bring this over.

I'm not sure Final Fantasy II and House of Cards really require a screen each, but my options for doing two things at once have been pretty limited so far, so maybe I don't know what I'm missing. Erm, whatever's reasonable? I read somewhere that a larger monitor just means the picture gets more stretched, so I don't know.

Is it worth the extra expense, though? Also, any screen suggestions? I saw one for £700 or so the other day, but that seemed like overkill.

Okay, that makes sense. Are there any parts that are worth upgrading if I'm willing to spend a bit more money, or will it not be worth the cost?

Speaking of cooling, am I fine with whatever's included in the parts you listed? I just assumed I'd need more, but maybe that's not the case.
