Analogue are making more consoles? ... I thought I had enough consoles, now I realise that this might potentially not be true if Analogue are making a portable and a re-release of the NT mini. Nope, the solution is obvious... I need to make some money. The videogame clearout continues! - - - - - By the way, if anyone is after any retro games in particular let me know as I am going through my collection at the moment, obviously I'm not getting rid of all my games but I am taking a serious look at all the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Xbox, and PS1 games I have and deciding whether I really want to keep them or not. I'm just about done with the PS2 games and some of the Xbox 360 & PS4 games but there's still a fair few to go through.

Cryogear is coming to the eShop on August 15th for the price of £17.99 It's a Metroidvania title, so possibly another one for the pile? Everdark Tower will be launching on the Nintendo Switch eShop on August 22nd for the price of £4.99 (with a 30% discount for a limited time if you pre-order) A pocket-sized RPG which still supposedly offers a worthwhile expierence relative to the short time it will take to complete. Check the articles for details and a trailer.

Not a bad couple of NES games there but still... two titles which will likely only be played briefly, only to be forgotten about within a couple of days. But at least you can go back to them any time if you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription I guess... Has it been a year yet? If so then I really hope that SNES games will be launching soon, before this year is out at the very least.

Sega Lord X with a video on Sega Related Projects in 2019 which really highlights that we've got a lot to look forward to this year.

Thanks for the games tonight @Glen-i @RedShell and @BowserBasher those were some really good matches. That match up at the end of Samus Vs Young Link was certainly something, it's as if the perfect characters got picked by random for once, made for a really good match. It really couldn't have been closer, just a bomb or a sword spin and it could have gone either way.

Pichu there... K-O'd with a Pokéball! The savagery is real!

There's a review of the Switch port over on GameSpace (I'd never heard of them either) They gave it a solid score but state the usual things you might expect when porting a PC game to consoles. Namely the control concessions (radial menus from clicking sticks) and 10-30 second loads times when saving at certain points. But the port seems to be solid on all platforms.

Wii U games? Easiest selections yet... Here are my picks... Bayonetta 2 Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Mario Kart 8 Pikmin 3 The Wonderful 101 Again, I'm just going for the games I've enjoyed playing the most. Look out for the N-E Top Ten 3DS Games coming soon to the main site. -
Headliner: NoviNews is coming to the Switch eShop on August 19th for the price of £11.99 Which news articles would make it through if you had to decide? Take on that role in this intruiging title. Omen Exitio: Plague is coming soon to the Switch eShop. Is the H.P. Lovecraft theme potentially enough to hook you into its fantasy world based on the gamebooks of the 80's and 90's? Children of Morta will be releasing on the eShop on October 15th. Best of all though? There's a physical version coming out thanks to Merge Games. Those Who Remain will be coming to the Switch in 2019 thanks to finding a new publisher in Wired Productions. It has a Psychological Horror theme to it and also features come kind of sanity system... Eternal Darkness inspired? We'll see. Sagebrush is coming to the eShop on August 9th for the price of £4.99. It features a story inspired by real-life cults (cheerful!) and has a low-fi aesthetic to it, which is nice... Check the articles for details and trailers.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate new tournament with the theme of Hero Vs Villain announced. It starts on August 9th 2019 and lasts for three days, the better you do, the better spirits you get as a reward. Also... how glorious is that artwork? I just wanted an excuse to post it.

All up on the front page now, it took a little longer to format but all the press release info is up there, some images and both videos. Not bad for a low key article. (thanks to @Ashley for the press release and @Dcubed for the Japanese video tip)
-
Yep, I had a feeling this was going to be very low key, but new info is new info... I'm preparing a suitably low key article for it on the main site now, which will be up within the hour.

It might be best to check so that you can solve a mystery Same, it's like Capcom is trying to rewrite history ... Duck Tales! (Woo-hoo!)

River City Girls character spotlight: Misako. Learn more about one half of the River City Girls with some info and a trailer in the article. FAR Lone Sails propels itself onto the Switch on August 18th for the price of £14.99 It certainly looks like a unique take on a Post Apocalyptic setting. AER Memories of Old soars onto the Switch on August 8th for the price of £17.99 While it came out on other platforms a while ago, this could be another chance for it to fly high. Check the articles for details and trailers.

We'll be sure to cover this tomorrow soon after it airs. All relevant times are in the article but it's 2PM for the UK.

N-Europe's Top 10 (Voting over, check first post for results)
S.C.G replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
See now that makes pefect sense to me, so I've now changed it to that. Well, that wasn't too many edits so I'd say that's another job well done by everyone on the Top Ten Wii Games article. Look out for the Top Ten 3DS Games, coming soon. -
A nice video from shesez of Boundary Break fame, this time looking at Dragon Quest, it's not really in-depth or anything but I found it interesting. There are a couple of cameos in there towards the end as well including one from Happy Console Gamer which was nice to see. All of this just reminds me that I have a lot of Dragon Quest to catch up on...

Sure no worries, but... I had no clue what it was meant to be either, even when @Jonnas highlighted it, so I corrected the spelling mistake and left the rest as it was. This is how it looks at the moment... (in the admin area as I'm still editing) And the soundtrack is all arrangements of classical music with each ma. It's fantastic to keep hearing new-yet-familiar tracks up until the end of the game. Unless I'm misunderstanding something, should it read... And the soundtrack is all arrangements of classical music with each map. It's fantastic to keep hearing new-yet-familiar tracks up until the end of the game. Does "ma" need correcting to "map"? I don't know as I haven't played the game so it could just be a technical term I've never heard of or an abbriviation. -
Congratulations @Dcubed I'm really pleased to hear that you've finally qualified, it must feel surreal after that amount of time? Four years! Well done though. So, about that game backlog... that must mean that you have... the majority of the Switch library to catch up on! Enjoy! (not that I'm much different when it comes to my own backlog of course) - - - - - I should post some good stuff, I don't very often and this does come under bad stuff as well I suppose but I don't want to dwell on the bad. I'll just say that this year I've had a few changes in circumstances and now I'm really focusing on doing what I can to improve things at home every day. Gradually clearing stuff out as I've been meaning to do this properly for years but it's good to finally be making some decent progress along with some positive changes. I still intend to have time for N-Europe and gaming as well of course but I've come to realise that as much as I like games, I really don't need that many so I'm just focusing on the ones I really want to play and who knows, in time I might be in a position to actually capture some game footage properly and work towards helping produce some video content for N-E... that's what I'd like to do when I get more organised. Until then, I'll still do what I can, helping with site articles and clearing more stuff out, I think things are finally heading in the right direction though as I've been feeling a lot happier.

Here is the final article for our Top Ten Wii Games. Thanks to @RedShell for the Wii-ly nice banner/side graphics. and @Glen-i plus @Dcubed once again for their consistently excellent write-ups which are always enjoyable to read. Also thanks to the N-E community for contributing, there are plenty of fantastic games on the Wii, a few on that list I should get around to playing. (my contribution was making the game banners in the article and getting it uploaded) I kept it simple again for the Wii banner, I think it worked out well with the simplified Wii-mote and Nunchuk icons. (also... I did add in my thoughts on two of the games because I really enjoyed playing them at the time, so I couldn't not include them now could I?) Enjoy! And here's to the next one. -
Gaming Podcasts: A Thread about Listening to Others
S.C.G replied to Goron_3's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I agree with everything you have to say about Gaming videos on YouTube there @Hero-of-Time as it's sadly true. It makes me even more grateful for the really amazing videos which do make it onto YouTube because there are some really good channels out there. Someday I'd like to create some videos or contribute to some on N-Europe but I think it's got to be something that we can all agree is worthwhile. I thought the work that went into the N-Europe Show was fantastic and I have every bit of confidence that we could create something like that again or bring it back. I know these things take time and are a huge investment of effort but I hope that it's something we can work towards in the not too distant future. Plenty of articles and reviews to post in the meantime though, speaking of which... there should be one appearing on the front page very soon. -

Yep, I think I need to start going through and clearing out some of my subscriptions... to his credit, Dreamcast Guy has made some nice reviews but aside from that, recently... Spawn Wave has some interesting technical stuff sometimes, but then again so does Madlittlepixel and I find his videos more interesting. RGT85 and Beat Em Ups though... I haven't watched any of their videos in a long time. I know it can't be easy to continually create videos, but there has got to be a better way than the current echo-chamber which has been ringing hollow for a long time now. -

Yep, it's why I don't watch half of the YouTube videos that I used to, but this time I had to see what it was about. Somehow, I think E3 will keep going at least in some capacity but it really does make you wonder about its future when something like this happens. -

I wasn't sure where else to put this, being that this seems to be true I'm surprised that there don't seem to be many other channels talking about it. Essentially though, the organisation behind E3 leaked a whole lot of personal info and now there's a class-action lawsuit being formed. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
