Ion Fury Review from Lazy Game Reviews. I ended up finishing the entire introductory pre-release campaign last night, loved it. The game should be available on Steam in the UK at around 2pm or so. It's looking like the console ports won't be until some time in 2020 so this is the only way to play it at the moment.

-Do you collect anything? Yes. -What do you collect? Games. -Would you buy something you're not a massive fan of just to complete a collection? Maybe. -Have you got a complete collection of anything? Almost. - - - - - I may expand on this later... Good idea for a thread though.

Well, I've jsut finished the first mission of the preview build Crisis in Columbia, I'm going to leave it there for now but I can't wait to play more. I don't know what time the game officially unlocks but I've still got another three missions in the preview build to play, these aren't small areas either, they're huge. I finished several areas in the first mission and it would tell me when I'd reached the exit that I still had "X amount of secrets left to find" and I had been exploring a fair bit as well. One of the most enjoyable FPS titles I've played in a long time, and this isn't even the full game... *insert and I've only entered my name gif* Really well designed maps, challenging selections of enemies and plenty to interact with, the music and sound effects are fantastic and the visual presentation is second to none. I'd buy this again when it comes to the Switch if it gets a physical version and a solid port for sure, my PC can run this (and so it should) but I still noticed some screen-tearing. Nothing which will stop me from enjyoing it though, I just really want that control pad support soon when the game launches hopefully.

So... Ion Fury looks genuinely amazing! https://store.steampowered.com/app/562860/Ion_Fury/ It launches tomorrow and there are console ports in the works but... I kind of want to experience this when it comes out on the PC. It's still technically in Early Access until tomorrow but if you buy it now it looks like theres a campaign speficially made as a trial and then you get the full game as an update. I have a feeling I'll be busy this evening. Edit - well, I got it on Steam, I should have known there would be a catch with me buying a modern game on the PC... no proper controller support yet. Ah well, after trying all easily accessible game pads, I'll stick with keyboard and mouse for now if only to experience some of the game.

Mega Drive Mini (19th September 2019)
S.C.G replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I cancelled mine to save some money, I can play most of what I want on my Mega SG aside from a handful of titles. Same for the TurbograFX mini... I won't be getting that because I'll hopefully soon have something that I can play some of the original games on, plus I have a few VC titles on the Wii. I'm very glad that both of these mini systems exist though and I wouldn't say no to one if I saw either of them for a good price and once the TGmini becomes available elsewhere. -

Exception launch trailer. Never Give Up launch trailer. Gravity Duck published by Ratalakia Games and developed by Wobblyware is coming to the Switch eShop on August 16th for the price of £4.99 Check the articles for details and/or trailers. (I decided to try out some larger banners today as the images seem to lend themselves quite well to that format)

Oh I got the original release of the SD Media launcher, before they started producing the more modern version on that website in the link, I don't think there's any real difference though. I mean, the original release is probably harder to find now but that's about it, I also got it so that I could potentially back up saves that aren't usually able to be copied like PSO. Then I found out about the GameBoy Interface and I thought... ah I can use that! But to date I haven't actually set up either program on it yet and I really should.

Sega Lord X with a video on Top 1n Video Game Systems (Non Sega) with some solid choices of hardware and software in there.

I'm not sure what to say about this Gambling in Videogames situation at the moment, it seems like the regulatory bodies are just doing what every other regulatory body does, pay lip service to everything while either doing exactly the opposite and/or covering for the perpetrators or even covering everything up in the process. In that sense I'm not really surprised, it just seems to be business as usual.

What Resident Evil game do you think will be unveiled next?
S.C.G replied to CrowingJoe79's topic in Other Consoles
Resident Evil 3 Nemesis & Resident Evil Code Veronica X remakes in one release, using the RE Engine we've already seen used in Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2 remake. That's my prediction. -
Happy Console Gamer definitely knows where it's at when it comes to Top Ten GameCube Games spoiler, none of the games in the thumbnail made it in. What is in there though is easily one of my favourite games on the console which sadly didn't make it into our Top Ten GC Games but at least balance is restored here. In fairness, it was a very good Top Ten list we came up with collectively but damn... I would have dropped Donkey Konga in a heartbeat in favour of Phantasy Star Online.

My Life in Gaming have released the next video looking at the Sega Ages 2500 range of games, this time featuring Vol. 6 - 10 and there are some interesting titles in there. @RedShell might find the lesser-known sequel to Bonanza Brothers interesting as it's clearly the inspiration for the Wario Ware series at least in some form.

Congratulations on finishing your first Yakuza game. (I assume) Yep, Kiwami is next, then Kiwami 2... hopefully those Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 remasters will get proper boxed + digital releases over here so that all games can be played on the PS4. I must get back to playing Yakuza 0...

A good video from DF Retro on N64 HDMI Video Options featuring My Life in Gaming which covers all the info you'd need if this is something you're considering. I'll be sticking with a modified RGB N64 for the forseeable future but it's nice to know that there are other options out there, albeit rather expensive. Plus we can't rule out the future possibility of an FPGA N64 one day which would likely blow everything out of the water.

Analogue are making more consoles? ... I thought I had enough consoles, now I realise that this might potentially not be true if Analogue are making a portable and a re-release of the NT mini. Nope, the solution is obvious... I need to make some money. The videogame clearout continues! - - - - - By the way, if anyone is after any retro games in particular let me know as I am going through my collection at the moment, obviously I'm not getting rid of all my games but I am taking a serious look at all the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Xbox, and PS1 games I have and deciding whether I really want to keep them or not. I'm just about done with the PS2 games and some of the Xbox 360 & PS4 games but there's still a fair few to go through.

Cryogear is coming to the eShop on August 15th for the price of £17.99 It's a Metroidvania title, so possibly another one for the pile? Everdark Tower will be launching on the Nintendo Switch eShop on August 22nd for the price of £4.99 (with a 30% discount for a limited time if you pre-order) A pocket-sized RPG which still supposedly offers a worthwhile expierence relative to the short time it will take to complete. Check the articles for details and a trailer.

Not a bad couple of NES games there but still... two titles which will likely only be played briefly, only to be forgotten about within a couple of days. But at least you can go back to them any time if you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription I guess... Has it been a year yet? If so then I really hope that SNES games will be launching soon, before this year is out at the very least.

Sega Lord X with a video on Sega Related Projects in 2019 which really highlights that we've got a lot to look forward to this year.

Thanks for the games tonight @Glen-i @RedShell and @BowserBasher those were some really good matches. That match up at the end of Samus Vs Young Link was certainly something, it's as if the perfect characters got picked by random for once, made for a really good match. It really couldn't have been closer, just a bomb or a sword spin and it could have gone either way.

Pichu there... K-O'd with a Pokéball! The savagery is real!
