  1. Anndddd... I think we've just found out what's going to be in the pull quote for the site review! My copy just arrived, there is no way that I'll get to play it until later though as I've got loads to do. For those who are playing it though, for the first time or the hundredth time, enjoy!
  2. That was the best game of Duck Hunt I've played in ages.
  3. Damn @RedShell that last fight was down to the wire, well played.
  4. Even my other dock is doing the same thing now as well, power on to the dock for a second, green light and then, nothing. Count me out for Smash as well tonight, seems I've got to seriously rejig my setup. Bleh... and now it's working with the other dock and another power adapter... all adapters work though, so strange... oh well, I'm not touching it again now that it seems to be working. Why did this have to happen on a league night? oh well, I hope you were able to salvage something from this evening still, sorry about that @viceview51
  5. Only set up for wired. I'll keep trying, I'm going to try the other dock I have probably, it's annyoing because this has happened before, I took out all the wires and tried loads of times and then it would finally work again.
  6. The dock is refusing to power on with either power adapter, it did this before... works great for ages, then breaks spectacularly if the unit is wobbled at all, I was trying to take a picture of the reults screen shile docked on the joy-con while using a gamecube controller. Might have to leave it and chalk you up a win, a shame because I was looking forward to playing all the GP's. I don't suppose anyone else is available to take my place?
  7. Whenever this has happened before, it has taken me a while to get the dock working again. I'm working on it though.
  8. sorry @viceview51 my Switch lost video signal, 1 sec.
  9. I've made a room @viceview51 standard Monster Hunter style password... 444
  10. Ayakashi Gensokyo is Dungeon-Crawler by PochiStudio and is coming to the Switch sometime in the near future. Ghost Parade is an Adventure title brought to us by Aksys Games and is coming to the Switch on October 31st. Syberia Trilogy is getting a physical release on one game card thanks to Microids and is coming to the Switch on October 31st. Fight'N Rage is a side-scrolling, old-school Beat 'Em Up from BlitWorks which is coming to the Switch eShop on September 26th. Check the articles for all the details, trailers and screenshot.
  11. This is true, also years ago I actually drew some potential Pokémon in coloured pencil and I drew various Eeveelutions before many of them were a thing. The one I got right, moreorless was Leafeon and I still kind of prefer mine. I should dig that drawing out and post it on here at some point... maybe.
  12. In that case, I'll open a room at around 19:58 which is around my standard joining time for the league. See you at just before 8PM rival @viceview51 It'll be fun, especially if my game with Glen the other week is anything to go by I'm not that practiced at Super Mario Kart, but I'm alright at it I reckon.
  13. Personally, I'd say it's no contest, all of the Borderlands titles might as well be one big expansion pack of the same game as far as I'm concerned. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a timeless classic, of course it will still show some of its design quirks so many years on but I think this remake will be do very well.
  14. I like leeks but I don't like leaks, but this leak of a leek I do like.
  15. Yep, it's the good old Really Numbing Grind to get what you want in Monster Hunter World. Luckily, the grind is fun most of the time. Over the past week or so, this is the only game that I've had time for, I'm still managing to spend an hour or two in the evening at least making some progress. Instead of going through the Iceborne main quests, I've actually been back-tracking and am going through all the optional quests I missed so I can get all the Astera upgrades. These range from more ingredients for the canteen, extra capacity for the laboratory and more besides, really helpful stuff. Using the clutch claw on earlier monsters from the base game is a real game-changing mechanic as well, I was blitzing arena monsters in 5 minutes flat. I know I'm going to have to get on with the Iceborne quests soon and get better armour etc... I am looking forward to it as well but also, there's no rush. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is a game I can see myself returning to for a long time yet, at least well into 2020 with any luck.
  16. Clever... I don't like it but it is clever on some level. Release the entire Shantae and the Seven Sirens episodically on Apple TV, get people to subscribe at £4.99 a month, release game in at least four parts over a four month time-frame... Then if anyone is subscribing just for that one game then they've paid £20 but they'll likely try out other games as well and in the meantime footage appears from each part. So then people see the game being played, are more aware of it and even if they won't be subscribing to Apple Arcade. (I sure as hell won't be) At least they know the game is coming. Just as long as the Switch version is released as a complete game, in physical form with no compromises then I suppose it's a win-win situation.
  17. Sega Lord X with a video on The Sega CD - Mega CD Top 10 WELCO METOT HENEX TLEVEL
  18. Neon Drive revs onto the Switch eShop on September 19th priced at £9.99 Habroxia blasts onto the Nintendo Switch on September 26th priced at £6.99 (with a 20% off launch discount) Check the articles for details and trailers for both titles.
  19. I'll be there once the "decent graphics patch" arrives.
  20. I certainly did, the harbour work has dried up now though so I'm glad that I've paid for Shenmue III so I'll still get the game hopefully. Me too, although I'm still working on figuring out my own foolproof system, so I might try my luck on the slot machines! In all seriousness though, I can't wait for this game.
  21. Aren't these ports not very good though? Even though you can use a proper controller with them, aren't there graphical and audio issues with them?
  22. I'll never accept it, until the day that I "have" to... and even then I probably won't because I just don't see the advantage of buying digitally over physically, especially with the prices. I understand the concept of convenience but, going by how far we've come, Switch cards are so small for instance that I wouldn't have a problem carrying them around. I've found that often even on consoles where I have a lot of digital games such as on the Xbox One, it doesn't mean I'm any more likely to play them versus if I had them boxed either. Because of Game Pass though, I do think game prices will have to come down now, at least on the Xbox One, there's no other option for Microsoft at this point. On the Switch though? Boxed games seem to be doing very well indeed, most first-party titles are around £40 boxed while they can be up to £50 digitally too. I know games take up space, I think it's worth it though, Switch boxes are the smallest case size which is likely to be made now as well making it easier to collect for. When it comes to digital storage space though, that's another factor, I'm still using my 256GB Micro SD card on the Switch thanks to buying physical, if I had all digital I'd need a bigger card. Clearly there are arguements for both, I think we're approaching a turning point now though where Microsoft will go digital first, Sony will offer both to start with and the Switch might just end up being one of the last gaming platforms which supports physical games, though I do think that so long as there is a physical option, even in a dimished form then some companies will continue to make boxed game alternatives to digitial, so long as it's still financially viable.
  23. Soul Knight is coming to the Switch eShop on September 19th priced at £11.99 Pushy and Pully in Blockland is coming to the Nintendo Switch in Q1 2020. Check the articles for information and trailers.
  24. I may have put a laugh as a reaction, this isn't really funny but just going on what I said in the Gears 5 thread when many were going for Game Pass and I didn't... At this rate, Microsoft will be going digital either at the start of the next generation or even before that to cut their losses.
