I would but... Fire Emblem: Three Houses is calling out to me. It could stay sealed for a little longer though, what time (roughly) were you thinking of playing Smash until?
-
Really? Oh sod that then! I guess I didn't want to play those earlier Doom games that much on the Switch afterall.

Well, my limited ediition copy arrived today, the Nintendo Store UK really need to get some bigger boxes though, it was just sent in an oversized version of that general fold-over cardboard packing that a load of places use these days which is fine if it's around the size of the item but this was signifcantly bigger, so the outer box did get a bit creased down one side, nothing I'm going to worry about of course, I didn't even know the outer box would be that big afterall, the artbook is nice, the OST on a USB is... novel but I would have perfered a CD soundtrack, pins are nice and so is the steelbook. All of that's going back in the oversized box, probably never to be looked at again or at least for a while, easily the main item is the game with its boxart that I appreciate a lot more in person but most importantly, it doesn't have any age rating to detract from the boxart which really makes it for me. I might actually get to play it later, you never know.

I already have Steredenn: Binary Stars but in physical form, I'm wondering if I unseal it, update it and claim the gold points from it if the offer might show up for me? Probably not, I'm guessing it'll be digital versions only but I just figured that because of the way that Gold Points are linked to your account, that might register on the eShop.

Yes on both counts I believe, when I was searching for info on PIllars of Eternity I found a placeholder listing for the sequel, so it would seem so.

Strange... so it must be some new kind of requirement for their games or maybe just Doom from now on? Ah well, I can live with it so long as it's not one of those deals where you have to login to the account every time after creating it, this shouldn't be the case seeing as these are mostly offline games... in fact I think these versions are purely offline, apart from this account requirement, which requires online... which makes it all the more bizarre really! Still, the ability to play local co-op is cool, like having a Doom LAN party from the Nineties, except here you don't need a load of desktop PC's and a nest of ethernet cables.

I was reading about that earlier, it's definitely a catch, a small one but a catch nonetheless, I don't know if I even have a Bethesda account. Do any other titles published by them require it upon startup? I have Doom (2016) and Skyrim which I haven't played, I did start Wolfenstein a while back but can't remember much. In any case, I wonder if there's a physical collection chance for the trilogy? Would be nice, seeing as Doom 3 BFG Edition was basically the same thing with Doom/Doom II as bonuses.

Some great recent Switch games shown off in this latest Metal Jesus Rocks video, I'm interested in most of these but I'm just hoping that the three digital titles get physical releases.

Sega Lord X with his second video of The Worst Sega Saturn Games and there are some truly atrocious examples, especially towards the end.

Nintendo have just release the English version of the above Action trailer for Astral Chain. Check the article for the trailer.

Doom, Doom II & Doom 3 are available soon for the price of £3.99, £3.99 & £7.99 respectively. All dlc/expansions etc are included, local multiplayer etc no mention of online but... Check the article for the details.

Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop on August 8th for the price of £44.99 Not bad considering it contains all of the dlc and is supposed to be very good, I think this needs a physcal release though at that rrp. Check the article for the details and a trailer.

So, Moonlighter is now free on two platforms? Yep... it's definitely time to get the physical version on Switch then! Though now, I'm going to see if I can get it for significantly less than £20, if I can get a physical copy for the current digital sale price then that'll do nicely.

And... Wario goes out in a blaze of... disaster? *sigh* a volatile combination of noxious gases and Banzai Bills, it was bound to happen I suppose. Ah well, thanks for the games!

Quoting for the new page and... because I just checked the eShop and found that two of the games are even cheaper with sale/pre-order discounts, so I've updated the prices to reflact this.

I've got an old tower fan temporarily propped up on top of a sub-woofer, it's only on a low fan setting and that seems to be working well. The weather here has definitely been pretty warm recently though.
-
Would you say that it's worth £20 for the physical version? I've just seen that it's on sale for under £14 digital but £20 boxed sounds like a good deal for a decent Indie game. How much like Zelda are the dungeons really? Completely or perhaps similar to other games? I've been potentially interested in this one for a while.

Infliction is coming soon to the Nintendo eShop and will be priced at £15.99 It's a Psychological Horror title which could turn out to be rather good and it would be nice to see this do well on Switch. Zombie Driver: Immortal Edition is out now on the Nintendo eShop priced at £13.49 or £12.14 with 10% discount until August 8th This looks like an interesting take on the top-down driving/racing genre plus is has guns, explosions and zombies, so... a winner potentially? From the image, I might as well have just called it Crazy Taxi: Apocalypse Edition... hmm, now I kind of want that instead. Standby is available from August 1st on the Nintendo eShop priced at £4.49 or £3.81 with 15% off for pre-ordering It certainly looks like an interesting platformer, I know there's a lot of them on the Switch but this one looks pretty polished. Check the articles for the details and trailers.

True but with these Special Edition Nintendo Switch releases, at least from Nintendo, all of the actual game boxart on the case doesn't seem to have the USK logo or even the age rating. So there should be cleaner boxart on the actual game at least, though I kind of wish that the boxart from the main game was similar to the outer box of the limited edition.

High Noon Revolver is out now on the Switch eShop priced at £3 It certainly looks like it has that instant, pick up and play arcade appeal to it with some interesting setpieces. Damsel is releasing on the Switch eShop on August 7th priced at £16.99 with 15% off if you pre-order. Quite an interesting overall title, which has a unique comic book style to it and some twitch reaction gameplay. Check the articles for the details and the trailers.

N-Europe's Top 10 (Voting over, check first post for results)
S.C.G replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Nintendo 3DS games? No problem... Here are my picks... The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Metroid: Samus Returns Monster Hunter Generations Kirby Planet Robobot Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon Again, I'm just going for the games I've enjoyed playing the most or in the case of Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon enjoying playing as I finally decided to start playing it. (It totally counts and I'm going to do my best to finish it or play as much as I can of it before more games come out) Look out for the N-E Top Ten Wii Games coming soon to the main site. -
Well, the Suikoden games are cheap... so that's nice. I think I have some of them, maybe one or two I don't have so I might pick those up seeing as they're cheap. But that's about it for me.
