  1. And even that's generous, in terms of power it was later thought to be only about 1.5 times as powerful as the GameCube. Imagine if the Xbox Series X had to be the size of however many GameCube consoles it's equal to in terms of power... some of the above images would be almost accurate. Also, I just thought... that would make the power brick almost the size of a small generator.
  2. Oh nice, that's what the finished book looks like. Mine arrived the other day but I hadn't opened it yet, I do intend to though and hopefully I'll read this one in a timely manner... ...and then start reading the rest, including that GameCube anthology which Hero posted about. I've helped kickstart most of the main collected works and Bitmap Books over the years including one on the Master System, so I've got a few to get through now.
  3. Nice one @nekunando I've added the embedded YouTube version to the original promotional article.
  4. It isn't Crypt of the Necrodancer is it?
  5. If we go with the logic that the Xbox Series X is the same size as two Nintendo GameCube's stacked... The GameCube originally launched for £129.99... The price of two GameCube's would be £259.98... Add inflation to that, let's just call it the price of another GC console £129.99 Put it all together and you get... £389.97 That's my guess and I'm sticking with it because there's a chance it will undercut the PS5 at that price or at least keep it competitive plus they can easily make it for less than that, or make a loss at the start and make it back on subsciptions.
  6. I think it's somewhat fitting that Sucker Punch have effectively ushered us into the PS4 era and now are leading us out of it, assuming that 2020 is the consoles last year. I can still remember frantically trying to play through all of the other inFamous games on my PS3 before the PS4 came out with InFamous Second Son, the PS3 even broke a mere week before the PS4 came out and I bought a new PS3 Super Slim just so that I could get the series played. The games were just that enjoyable to me, so it made it all worthwhile. I'm hoping that Ghost of Tsushima will be just as enjoyable but in a different way and who knows... it might even get me properly back into playing more PS4 games. Just by how the game looks, I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up getting an enhanced PS5 port or if it just runs a lot better on the new system... heck, maybe it will be the game which will finally do in my launch model PS4, that would be sod's law. Anyway, looking forward to this one.
  7. Thanks for the hunts @Glen-i @Ugh first aid and @RedShell I think we did really well tonight and it was a lot of fun. Cheers for the tips and for helping me get some of those G4 and G5 tickets, my defence has gone up a fair bit now it would seem. Those new Dual Blades are pretty handy as well, really noticing the difference in power. N-E Monster Hunter nights are now Fridays at 8PM then it would seem.
  8. The Game Awards 2019 Roundup N-Europe's general roundup of the The Game Awards 2019 with a Nintendo focus is up on the main page now. Thanks to @Vileplume2000 for formatting the list of winners, I put that up as part of it, a bit of commentary about the Nintendo bits plus the relevant trailers. Oh, and I might have had to get in on that 'Is it an Xbox or two GameCube consoles stacked?' joke as well, just because. (incidentally, I do have two GameCube consoles stacked up on my desk right now, but they've been there long before the next Xbox was announced) I'm glad that Smash got an award because it surely deserves it, Reggie's speech was nice as well I thought. Also... even though I haven't played Death Stranding it was still really good to see Hideo Kojima take home at least one award, you could tell it means a lot to him. Was it worth saying up to watch the whole thing? Heck no but then I never learn, it was just nice to have seen it and be able to write a short piece about it for the site.
  9. 8pm tonight it is then. *sharpens Dual-Blades and stocks up on Mega Potions*
  10. Said in the voice of Huber... "The Game Awards 2019, starts... right NOW!"
  11. Yes, great minds and all that. That's exactly what I'm doing, watching on Twitch via the Easy Allies stream right now.
  12. Yep, that was one heck of an ice cold finish on that stage. Brilliant fun though, thanks to you and @RedShell for the games, I really enjoyed those matches. Also, I don't want to speak too soon but I recorded our session tonight and the footage might have mostly captured correctly, so there's a chance I might be able to so something with it editing wise, seeing as I don't seem to have much luck with capturing recently, but I'm hopeful this time as the software is taking a while to save the file which is usually a good sign. If it worked out then I'll see if I can either make a highlight reel or pair it up with a certain audio track if I get the time, we'll see.
  13. Resident Evil: S.T.A.R.S... DLC which fills in a gap between Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 perhaps? That's my guess.
  14. That is just... brilliant. Chao in Sapce finally officially exists! Loved the eyebrows on the Chao at the end, that got a chuckle out of me.
  15. Nintendo Switch Online NES and SNES applications have now been updated All up on the main page now, thought it best to just put all the NES and SNES game updates into one article and mess around with the banner art a bit. Some good games in there, good move on putting Star Fox 2 in there as well, always nice to have it there as an option on the Switch. Plenty more titles you could be adding throughout 2020 though Nintendo so please keep adding titles when you can.
  16. Good price for it, I already bought the game physically (of course) but for digital it's a great deal. I just wish I had 25% more time to devote to playing this game and other titles which have been released recently. Ah, I'll get around to playing them, one day... I'll play this the next time I'm in the mood for a decent 2D platformer.
  17. Excellent episode there @londragon and @Nicktendo I just finished listening to the podcast while putting up some news articles on the main page. Some really good conversation relating to the Indie World presentation and I enjoyed listening to what you've been playing, nice Podcast EXTRAS this week as well. I'm just going to say now that I have no idea what the mystery music is from this week... I definitely knew what last weeks was though but obviously I couldn't give it away.
  18. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate goes back to the 80's for the latest tournament An excellent idea for a tournament theme from Nintendo, it all starts this Friday and lasts for three days. Plus I couldn't miss a chance to share that excellent piece of promotional artwork, the use of Mr. Game & Watch is inspired.
  19. Pokémon Sword and Shield has more details shown post release More details about version exclusives, different forms etc, in a cut 'n paste press release from Game Freak. Just putting the information out there. One day, I might get back into playing the game, you never know.
  20. *nods* indeed it is. And seeing as I'm now in a position where I can join in with some Monster Hunting on a Friday or Saturday, count me in as well.
  21. The Game Awards starts at 5:30pm PT, so that will make it 1:30am in the UK then? And it's three hours long... I mean, I'm not surprised, I think it was the same kind of time last year as well but still, three hours... Probably something to watch in the background while playing something on the Switch I reckon.
  22. Yes, you can play the game offline with it... I believe, although I think it works out even cheaper to buy the physical copy as it comes with a years online subscription... ...which you don't need as you mentioned that you're already online via the family option, in which case it just comes down to, do you want to play the following modes offline... Marathon Mode CPU Battle Mode If you're happy just playing Tetris online, then I'd say you don't need it but if you want to play offline then you probably do.
  23. Nintendo Indie World 10/12/2019 Presentation Roundup Now up on the main site, the standard N-Europe Roundup which traditionally follows every live Nintendo-related presentation. Full press release, link to the embedded video and a couple of plugs for both upcoming episodes of our two podcasts which just might have some discussion about this. Personally, the Streets of Rage 4 trailer was the best bit for me but the One More Thing... at the end was pretty good.
  24. Devil May Cry/Dark Souls/Astral Chain?
