I figured as much, work can be funny sometimes but I guess it's things like that which can help to pass the time... ... still though, the guy does sound like he's just deliberately awkward but so long as it's more 'amusing' rather than 'annoyance' then I guess it's not so bad.
-
I'm sure you were just doing your job and from what I hear - from you posting - you're rather good at it so maybe this other guy just needs to learn his place, you've been working at that place a good while now I believe? So you got to where you are through hard work... anyway I'm sure what he calls 'barking orders' is actually you asking 'politely but firmly' as you've always come across as being a decent guy to me. He's probably just jealous of your success.

Happy Birthday Ashley!

This doesn't belong in the 'funny stuff' thread, it belongs in the Awesome stuff thread! That was complete and utter win!

The review of this is still coming - better late than never right? - it's just taking longer to write than anticipated.

Not that bad at all actually, SCIV felt way cheaper... SCV does make a few advancements too in that the specials seem more effective and are thankfully easier to pull off, the whole combat system seems to be rebalanced again as well. There's enough to keep you busy in single player but it's the multiplayer which will likely keep you wanting more but thankfully the single player is easy to fall back on when you've had enough of playing the online for a little bit, there are plenty of titles to unlock plus chars/music/stages without resorting to buying the rather pointless DLC for the game which I think is appalling and should just be included as a good will gesture from Namco for farming out the story mode... granted it's playable but painfully predictable. Anyway, short answer - Is it fun? Yes... play it and you'll enjoy it just don't go expecting anything on the level of Soul Calibur II's wealth of single player content and general brilliance as it's the solid fighting mechanics plus the multiplayer that you're really paying for... ... oh and the character creation isn't bad either.

I had the game a day before it was released and have been enjoying it quite a lot, the only thing I really didn't like was the intro, so lazy to just use the opening scene from the story... Aside from that though, good selection of characters, the descendants/relations to the missing characters for the most-part are good though I still kinda miss Seung Mina and Xianghua. Single player is lacking but it's not nearly on the level of woe that certain reviews would have you believe but go and compare the single player modes from V with II (which I did yesterday coincidentally) and it's clear that many sacrifices have been made over the years. Fortunately though the game looks amazing and sounds stunning with a fighting system that feels fantastic, clearly though it's the online which will keep you coming back for more so long as you have a decent group of friends to play it with.

I feel the same but I'm basically in the frame of mind that 'it'll have to do' in that it looks good, will probably be good fun and will tide everyone over rather nicely until Resi 6 and if the appeal doesn't last that long well... I'll just go back to playing Resident Evil Rvelations... ... not that I've acutally stopped playing that yet because Raid Mode is fantastic.

I have read the above article, I was just posting my thoughts on it as the more you think about it, the more it makes perfect sense for Nintendo to have DLC for certain games.

They cast him as Q? ... Why?

Ah well yeah... naturally if you have a pre-order for the Collector's Edition then you'll be fine especially as there are few places that stock the edition, I just meant for the standard edition even though I must admit the CE does look rather sexy but I don't deem myself worthy enough to purchase it... well that's my excuse anyway, I'm still shamefully finishing off Mass Effect 2 before the ME3 demo comes out, I did the same thing with the original ME >> I'm a heathen I know but I'm trying to atone for my sins.
-
I've pre-ordered with ShopTo so I have nothing to worry about and would encourage others to do so too, not just for peace of mind but you also get it for a good price plus DLC and a free N7 T-shirt!
-
I think it's highly likely that this will be the first Mario game to support DLC what with Nintendo soon to be 're-launching' their online with the 'Nintendo Network' branding this could be the perfect first-party title to trial-run the concept of DLC stages long before the Wii U - or whatever it will be renamed as - so it could act as a decent indication of how popular it might be.

Yes, yes and... *thinks* yes! Quite honestly I was initially unconvinced by the Circle Pad Pro so much so that I played through the whole game without one and a good few hours of Raid Mode, then I decided to get one, played one game of Raid Mode, noticed that my accuracy had taken a huge dip and was ready to agree with Chris Redfield when he said 'We're done here!' at the end of the mission... ... then I discovered the calibration settings and now I won't play without it! :p Yeah you need to go some place else after that - can't remember where - but do come back to the pool later once its been purified because you'll get some ammo restocks, some custom parts and a document too I think, you get them all by diving underwater and surfacing at the various points of which there are three... ... and of course there are a few things to scan too.
-
I'll wait for the XBLA version... ... and then I'll wait for it to go down in price! :p I've got enough to play anyway. Great news for PS Plus subscribers though.
-
hmm odd question but... you know the mission list, there's an option to delete the missions, which I assume is ok and it's just to 'tidy up' the menu for more that will be unlocked? *Edit* reading the manual helps I suppose I understand now... 'complete or delete' basically.

Yo' what's happenin'? I got my birthday stance on
S.C.G replied to MoogleViper's topic in General Chit Chat
Happen-Birthday-Stance! ...wait. -
I got my Circle Pad Pro today and after my initial session which seemed terrible I took the time to calibrate the controls and after a few sessions on Resi R's Raid Mode I'm now sold on it as a viable - in some cases improved - control alternative.

Well the 8:30PM didn't happen as I forgot that I wouldn't quite be home from work until around that time but I'm planning on going online now for a bit, I don't know how long for but I'm on now anyway.
-
I can be on from about 8:30PM tonight hopefully, I think it's time I properly joined you all online so I'm gonna add those of you that I know I haven't added yet but can't think for the life of me why aside from the fact that I haven't been as active online on my PS3 as I would have liked to be... ... anyway time to rectify this so @Cube , @Daft and of course @ReZourceman I'm gonna add you all now assuming that you don't mind? And if you do mind then... then... I guess I'll just be forever alone. ;_; see you all online hopefully! :p Also... @Cookyman I've finally added you too! sorry for not doing so a lot sooner, for what it's worth though I've barely been active online until now so you haven't missed much but I get the feeling that I have. If anyone else wants me to add them then let me know. : peace:

When I read the thread title I thought they may have been bringing back... The Amazing Spider-Man vs The Kingpin to XBLA/PSN or something... I used to love playing that game on the Mega-CD not played a Spidey game since though.

Same, I played through the entire campaign plus a bit of Raid Mode with no issues and yet I've still decided to buy one now, I just figure that it will be a useful thing to have even if I don't completely agree with it. Knowing that both Kid Icarus and Monster Hunter 3G will support it leads me to believe that it's something I'd rather have however I do agree with @Ike and @RedShell about ending up with a 'Museum of Plastic Crap' from the various generations... obviously the next thing will be the stand which is being bundled with all? copies of Kid Icarus... ... by that point I'll be playing 3DS games on a table-top with dual analogue controls and I bet i'll be thinking 'why isn't this a home console?' and I think the simple answer is when it has all these attachments it does becomes a home console just one that happens to be portable too. :p However I do love my 3DS but it does make you think...
