Downloaded the latest update but... I can't even tell what's actually changed.

I'll be getting my copy tomorrow, 100% confirmed as it didn't arrive in the post today, the release date is tomorrow and ShopTo have never let me down yet.

"What are you having for Sunday lunch? I'm having the Easter Bunny with chips!"

If I ever buy a new 360 pad, that'll probably be it though I bought the original silver pad with the new d-pad, only thing that annoyed me slightly after a while is how the buttons aren't their original colours but it wasn't really a deal-breaker seeing as the layout has always been instinctive but I do like the fact that they've reinstated the colours for these. Although... This is a minor concern, fingerprints will surely show up on them very easily indeed but the thing I'd be more concerned about is the coating... is it substantial enough to not be worn away over time in a way that'd make the pad look... odd :p a lot of my old 360 pads went 'shiny' as the surface wears away over time, if they are durable though then they seem pretty decent.

Hell yeah! I'll be downloading those for sure, love me some Shining Force!

That looks absolutely 'Nom!' @nightwolf I haven't had peanut butter chicken in like... forever but that stuff is godly. : peace: Damn... I'm now officialy hungry, lunch-time!

So it begins... Last night I finally started watching season one, ended up watching Episodes 1&2 as I couldn't really watch just one being that there's two on each disc, it would be rude not to plus it's y'know... 'epic', 'awesome', 'win' and all that shizzle. Sean Bean is of course a legend but then that wasn't ever really in question but he's really fantastic in this as is the rest of the cast, I'm not really that familiar with names at the moment but at least I can now identify all the characters that are depicted on the inside of the box-set rather than opening it and thinking 'who's this guy?' or 'this woman seems... intruiging' I now at least partly appreciate the roles that they play and can't wait to see how these characters develop. The setting seems very well realised for something that's done on I presume a 'reasonable' but not unlimited budget, I can see that a lot of work has clearly gone into almost every detail and I appreciate that; it's also rather... gratuitous in various areas which is also a good thing, I've never read to books but I get the feeling that they're doing this 'right' which means incorporating most of the details - gory or otherwise - so that it makes the fullest transition possible, only perhaps leaving out a small amount that inevitably gets lost in translation otherwise though it feels substantial for what it is. I very much enjoyed my first viewing, could have easilly watched the whole season but by the time I'd finished watching the above it was 4am so I figure this is something I'll watch two eps a night of so naturally I can't wait to continue watching this most excellent series and I don't doubt that I'll come away from it anxiously awaiting the release of the second season on DVD... I realise even now that I'll be letting myself in for a rather painful wait but I'm so assured by the quality of just the first couple of episodes of the first season that it will most definitely be worth it. : peace:

I'll make it my mission to at least watch the first episode and will report back with my thoughts on it tomorrow. : peace:

So... I've had the DVD boxset of the first season of this since it came out a few weeks ago but I've yet to watch it somebody please tell me that I need to watch this tonight!

Perhaps... I'm betting on the former as I think this happened when Pullblox came out? Then again I could be wrong... Either way this means I can now dedicate my time to finishing the Kid Icarus: Uprising review.

Hmm well it would seem that VC Weekly #200 won't be happening for a good week and a half because if the latest Nintendo Download bulletin is to be believed then we have one new piece of 3DS Ware and that's pretty much it... http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/04/nintendo_download_5th_april_2012_europe The fact that the piece of 3DS Ware is ThruSpace: Potzol's Puzzle helps to ease the pain a little but I'm not sure about the £5.40/€6 pricetag... wasn't Pullblox cheaper afterall? Anyway, should still be awesome and at least they didn't do a Dillon's Rolling Western on us at any rate.

*checks Wikipedia* It's true! Mind = blown. Only makes me love the game even more though I've been playing it a fair bit today, which shouldn't be a problem but I really should be finishing the review.
-
I too would love to see Shantae appear on the 3DS VC as that's one game I haven't played but really feel like I should have, just like the superb sequel available on DSi ware... the only thing stopping me from getting that is not having played the original. :p
-
You're welcome and thank you both for your comments, I do try my best when reviewing for VC Weekly though it can be challenging when I deliberately limit myself to five paragraphs per review... also while I do try and make an effort to play titles that I'm unfamiliar with I must admit that certain titles are reviewed from memory, Sonic Triple Trouble definitely was as I've played that before on a collection. Which titles are you hoping for to come to the 3DS VC? On the Game Gear front I'm actually hoping for Panzer Dragoon Mini plus the Phantasy Star adventure/text games but that would mainly be to satisfy my curiosity :p the former I have actually played very briefly but as for the Phantasy Star games, I really enjoy the series so it would be nice to have a more 'complete' collection even if only a virtual one.

This isn't an April Fool btw, VC Weekly is finally up to date again... VCW #199 Four games this week, I swear Sega loves to dump a load of games on us at once on purpose (I know one was courtesy of Capcom) I still remember back in the early days when one week there were five Megadrive games to cover, it was just as well that I'd played them all before. Anyway... with it being another milestone next week I'm wondering what game(s) will make an appearance for #200 I'm hoping for something suitably epic but we shall see, either way Game On! : peace: Oh yeah and next weeks VC Weekly will be the last that I write... :P Now that's definitely an April Fool!

This is most likely true... thank you for being the voice of reason Shorty. I have too many games to play at the moment anyway.
-
Hmm should I get this? And then add it to the pile of 'decent games that I picked up cheaply with the intention of eventually playing' right underneath Vanquish...
-
I agree, it's very kreative... really don't know how they kome up with this stuff.

Gravity Rush is literally the only upcoming game on the system that I really care about right now, well that and PSO2 but being a year away isn't exactly soon I guess. I haven't played my Vita for about a week... my 3Ds has been getting all the attention thanks to Kid icarus : Uprising I think I'll partially restore the balance later by having a session on Wipeout. : peace:

Oh don't get me wrong here, I would much prefer to play this game on the PS3 if that ever happened - Xbox 360 is unlikely due to how PSU turned out withe the lagging updates etc - but the fact that it's coming to the PSV means that I don't need to shell out on a new PC for it which is brilliant for me. Regarding subscription fees PSU was around £6.99 per month so if you were planning on playing long-term then it would amount to a lot more than just a one-off payment of £30 unless you'd just opt to play it for a few months? which in itself is quite a good idea I suppose to stop getting bored of the game, so long as the items aren't necessary to enjoy the game then I don't have too much of a problem with it, I'm guessing Sega will just have some weapons available for cash while the vast majority can be hunted for... it's still not ideal but... it's PSO2. I have a feeling though that if the PSV version does well in the test stages then surely there is absolutely nothing to stop it coming out on the PS3 and if so then I would buy it without a second thought regardless of having to pay for a few items as it would actually mean that I'd be playing my PS3 more which is priceless in a way... still I'd much prefer it if somehow it was announced for the Wii U at E3 - I know, slim chance etc - but this is mainly for nostalgic reasons, memories of how awesome PSO Ep 1&2 was on the Gamecube. Good times... : peace:

Daytona USA is only 400 points this week for those who wanted to get this classic Sega arcade game but - like me - decided to wait for the inevitable price reduction. : peace: --------------------- Annnnnd... 200G get! only took me about an hour and a half, could have been even quicker but I wanted to try out challenge mode properly, anyway I'd still recommend the game as it has an online mode too and ti works with the Wireless Wheel which is great. Would have given multiplayer a bash but batteries died on me but will probably take it for a spin again soon.

Haha that's awesome! Btw the deluxe version that I assume you're ordering does that come signed? Because if not I've just checked on Play.com and they have a 2CD version which apparently will come signed. I recall you mentioning that your copy of Quicken the Heart was a signed one when you originally purchased it?
