Same here! Congrats Lost I actually finished it just before 9pm but the site seemed to be down, in any case I'm so glad to have finally cleared every level and to have collected every green star! Those last few stamps and glittering stars can wait for whenever I play multiplayer next. :p

*3 hours later* Down to 742 lives now, not even made it to the half-way flag - if there is one - those damn red/blue blocks! Oh well, time for dinner, then back to it!

I've finally reached Champion Road, I have every star so far, every gold flagpole and every stamp up to this point. Time for a late lunch but when I return, I have a feeling that I'll be playing this final level for the rest of the day. My body is ready!

Our eldest cat Quincy died last night, we knew it was coming though - and so did he - as he'd had stomach cancer for a long time - nothing that could be done - so I suppose it was for the best, still... I'll miss that cat. He lived until he was about 14ish - rescue cat so we don't know exactly - but that doesn't seem to be particularly bad innings for a feline.

Wow... I didn't know that just 'seeing' the gold block at the start of the stage after dying five times was enough to cost you the glitter stars, that's pretty harsh, honestly I will just be happy enough to finish the post-game once. :p

It was downloading the review copy of this game that made me get a hard drive :p - though I was considering it plus it was good timing - but now I have one, I wouldn't be without it. I tend to put most of the games that I don't play so much on it while keeping recent stuff on the system memory, you can copy/move stuff pretty easily and it's just so convenient having all that extra space. Sonic Lost World is still the best Sonic title in a long while, I may not have been back to play it since - aside from Yoshi dlc - but personally this game was a lot of fun for me, not in the same league as Super Mario 3D World of course, but then what is?

I haven't played this in literally months so I suppose I should go back, might do that for New Years but I'm not looking forward to the inevitable barrage of letters probably including such delights as... 'you missed my birthday!' 'I'm moving to another town!' 'Call yourself a mayor?' etc. *puts card into 3DS in preparation for the onslaught*

While I admire your enthusiasm for the Sega 3D classics I really do feel that you might wish to reconsider not buying Ecco because honestly the game has some of the best 3D I've seen on any of the classics so far, plus the save states actually make it so much more playable; so much so in fact that I was able to beat the game properly - without skipping the 'hard bits' with a password - for the first time. Plus you can even use 'Super Dolphin Mode' which makes you invincible if you really don't get on with the whole 'finding air' element of it, though to me it feels like cheating... but it's still a viable option, heck some would even probably say to me 'save states' are cheating but to them I would say, 'do you know how unfair this game can be at times?' but yes... in any case, give it a go one day perhaps as I think you might just be pleasantly surprised by it. : peace: I'll have my review finished for it soon hopefully, that and Sonic.

I've finally made it to the post-game final levels...

The only 'upside' to the Wii U eShop being down is that you get a lot of extra time to play the 'tile matching' game on the loading screen... not that it's much consolation. :p

I think Nintendo should buy some extra servers with their 'Christmas' money.

Well I for one am loving the 'new' design of Zelda to me it feels like a natural progression from Twilight Princess, it could even be a hint as to where the next home console Zelda title is going, perhaps? Seeing a range of serious/angry expressions on their faces doesn't make them - Link/Zelda - seem 'evil' as such to me but it does create an interesting juxtaposition within the character roster, especially when you compare Zelda with Rosalina. The contrast is welcome, hype levels +1 well played Nintendo.

I think Nintendo needed some extra servers for Christmas... somehow I don't think many people will be able to download SMB3 on either VC today, I can't even get the eShop to load still.

Ah but then, don't you need to have a separate memory card owing to you needing a US region account or something similar? In any case I'm downloading it now but thanks anyway, certainly sounds like a better option than shelling out £30 for the Pal version in physical format.

The thing is though, with a game like this I'd prefer to buy it because what happens on the day when PS+ becomes unavailable? I know it's unlikely and definitely a long time off yet but at least if you've downloaded and paid for it then you don't have to worry about it expiring.

Well I just did a quick check online and it seems to be near impossible to get the physical game for much less than £30 so digital it is! Cheers for the heads up, I'll make sure to get that, £13.50 on PS+ is a steal.

When is the deal on until? I was going to wait until the price of the physical game dropped, but that's pretty good even for digital, plus I have all the other games downloaded onto my Vita as well anyway.
