  1. There seems to still be a video still live embedded in this article... http://www.vg247.com/2016/08/23/ps4-slim-take-a-closer-look-at-the-console-and-the-new-dualshock-4-controller-in-this-unboxing-video/ ...Until it's probably taken down as well. On closer inspection it doesn't look too bad, I still prefer the original, no light bar on the console in this revision - it's underneath the moved power button instead - though the extended light bar in the controller is a nice touch.
  2. I'll likely be available from 7:30PM, potentially slightly earlier, keen to get back into the hunt though.
  3. So that leaves you with... Jetpac Refuelled Sega Vintage Collection - Monster World Sonic CD Zuma I purposely gave you eight options, knowing full well you'd probably be able to discount half of them straight away. OK, here's my reasonings for the titles above... Jetpac Refuelled - update of a classic Rare title with an amazing visual style and an excellent soundtrack in addition to being really fun to play. SVC - Monster World - three titles within the same series - technically in this case - for one low price and one of them just happens to be the up until then not even released over here Monster World IV. Sonic CD - the now definitive version of the title which was only really available on the Mega CD and PC in the first place for ages, contains fan-developed extras, think of it as a prelude to Sonic Mania. Zuma - just a really addicitive, fun, cheap puzzle game, get the sequel too if you like it. And if you don't like any of those titles, I could probably come up with some more suggestions. : peace:
  4. Banjo Kazooie Banjo Tooie Jetpac Refuelled Perfect Dark Rez Sega Vintage Collection - Monster World Sonic CD Zuma
  5. Nice to see the voice cast behind it all. Spoiler though near the end! Presumably it's something that happens early on and it doesn't bother me so much but still, probably plenty of people who won't want to see it. Stop watching at 4:23 if you want to avoid it.
  6. Goafer's pretty much got it sussed... In the unlikely event that the two-pronged car attack fails though... ...erm, just open with something like... "Hi there, I see you're also interested in Cars - or insert relevant interest - what's your favourite?" Yeah, I really have no clue. If all else fails, break out a picture of your Fire Emblem collection. :awesome:
  7. I haven't been back since I played this twice... for a total of less than three hours? Though I can see myself going back to it at a later date - I have plenty of other games to play - I am in two minds whether or not just to sell it if I haven't played it again within the next say... three weeks. It feels like a game which would be better with a few updates, so I'll hold out for now... plus the colour of the spine does look lovely in my PS4 game collection, so there is that. Sadly it just hasn't grabbed me in a "must play this for "X" hours every night" kind of way, I didn't even go in with very high expectations either. Being that this is what I last posted though... I'll keep it for now.
  8. Nice for those who don't already have a PS4, I wondered how long it would take for a revision to come out. Just like the Xbox One revision though, I intend to keep my original machine for as long as possible. I also think the original design is better personally, this new model looks... cheaper, but then I suppose that's the point. Should net Sony a few - million - more sales though, I wonder if it makes games perform ever so slightly better as well, an extra three or five frames perhaps? Again unintentionally like the Xbox One newer model, nothing game-changing though.
  9. If anyone is hunting later tonight then I just wanted to say that I'm back in the hunt for a bit after having a week off from it so that I could play some fantastic GameCube multiplayer games with my brother who was down for the week. Much merriment was had as Mario Kart Double Dash!!, Mario Party 4 and TimeSplitters 2 were played so that's as good an excuse as any! I'll probably be around from 7:30PM... ish or so. Everyone will have overtaken me by now no doubt but it's OK, I don't have any real goals at this point other than getting that damn Novacrystal - gotta unlock that Frozen Seaway and generally advancing but I'm happy playing any quests to just help out generally. : peace: ------------------------------------------------- It's around 7:30PM and I'm catching up with other 3DS backlog titles for the moment, but if anyone is about at any point in the evening and wants to hunt just give me a shout.
  10. Everything that we didn't get from the series over here for whatever reason... Just work it into the new game or at the very least give us both BS F-Zero titles.
  11. Looking good! Second track makes me thing of Big Blue from F-Zero.
  12. Why would anyone volunteer to try that out... More to the point, why would anyone make such a device? The game still looks good on its own merits but that peripheral is clearly a (nasal) bridge too far.
  13. Hasn't the current league ended as of last week? There may be a break before the new one starts if so... though I could be wrong.
  14. N-Europe Presents VC Weekly #385 Donkey Kong Country 3 Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! @Josh64 and I team up to tackle DKC3 on the New 3DS... ...and we meet some fantastically dressed bears along the way. Check inside for the verdict. Enjoy! : peace:
  15. Harp plea Bird date Dashy beef! Aye hop yurt hasbeen urn eggshell lent dane. Greet fred ideal Ashen.
  16. Well... technically the NX would be the seventh internet enabled Home Console but this is really clutching at straws, as all I would be referring to would be... NES - Famicom modem, only in Japan, mainly used for banking. SNES - Satellaview, Japan only... although OK not technically online as such but it was still technically impressive. N64 - 64DD, again Japan only, plenty of untapped potential combining that extra storage space with online. But yeah... as for saying who used the GameCube for online as Hero and Sheikah have already said that abbriviation which stands for those magical three words... Phantasy Star Online, pretty much the only online GameCube game released over here - two standalone titles if we're including episodes I&II plus Episode III - and it was more than worth the price of the modem/broadband adapter plus the monthly subscription fee. : peace:
  17. Ah this is already out? I dropped the ball on that one! I'll get on this soon hopefully, I was just reading up on the backstory of the games development and the few varying reviews of it - mostly positive - all seem to point towards this becoming a cult classic of sorts, I definitely plan to purchase it.
  18. OK, this time I played for nearly a full hour and I feel like I've uncovered a deeper understanding of the game. I feel a lot better about it now, have actually made a small amount of progress and I can only see myself dipping into it more frequently when I have the time.
  19. Sad news indeed. R.I.P. Kenny Baker
  20. I'm back at work now so it'll only be Monster Hunter from Sunday through to Thursday, earliest 7PM, Latest 9PM onwards for me so Friday and Saturday are out. I hope everyone enjoys hunting over the weekend though, last nights hunting was great fun as well.
  21. Well so much for that, I played for... not even three quarters of an hour and I had a crash within the first twenty minutes and I was too tired to carry on playing/redo the small amount of lost "progress" I had made. Now, I don't want to be down on the game because in that short amount of time I managed to mine at least ten different things, activate that beacon thing, destroyed a drone before promptly running away from the rest and I found at least one glitched creature. It was interesting enough, though I need to put some real time into it but this won't really be possible until Sunday at the earliest hopefully by then there might be another patch to fix crashes and other things as quite honestly my PS4 hadn't crashed like that since launch. Of course I am willing to put some more time into it, I didn't really have any huge preconceptions going in plus it's a new game, so I'm not disappointed just slightly deflated at the moment; no doubt these feelings will be no more on my next play session of it. : peace: Naturally what has impressed me is the overall tone that the game has, oh and the soundtrack, I bought the album after listening to it a week ago and I had it on in the background while I was playing a bit of Monster Hunter last night before trying this out, really solid OST. :awesome:
  22. OK, I'm about to fire up No Man's Sky for the first time. I will play for one hour... ...I'll report back in two hours.
  23. I'm more than happy to meet up with you, my next week off work is the second to last week in September - 19th onwards - but I get days off during the week so hopefully we'll be able to arrange something. It's amazing what you've achieved already though.
