Well that was certainly an eventful evening! Glen-i and I, seemed to flit between Arena quests and Operation Astalos Decimation and General Assault in pursuit of two electrogems so that I could finally fully upgrade my armour to maximum. First quest, got one! Second... nope! Third... kidding right? Forth(?) didn't think so... then the last quest came and Glen asked, Any Luck? to which I replied, I didn't get one as my hunter fell to the ground in a rather weary state... ...before getting up and proclaiming, I got TWO! on the very last quest of the evening! Really chuffed, we really ripped through Astalos with great efficiency again as well, not bad for an evenings work. : peace:

Yeah but this is on the Xbox One where it's the opening weekend for it so I'm guessing the keys apply in this instance? It's a silly situation due to this exclusivity deal going on, I know I guess I could just download it on my PS4 now but, I kind of want to keep the COD games on the Xbox One as it seems to be my default console for shooters for some reason. So if anyone wants a key to play the Xbox One version, just ask... out of curiosity I checked online and people are actually selling them for a couple of pounds per code which seems a bit daft, I'm happy to just give them away anyway.

So... I got beta codes for the Xbox One version, they gave me five codes to share with friends as well (now four as I've already given one away) but if anyone wants a code then just give me a shout. The beta starts today in a few hours I think, I'm not too fussed but I may pop on over the weekend, oh and it's 19.33GB to download. :p

I've been thinking in terms of the rumoured specifications and what they could mean for the Virtual Console... With those kinds of specs, surely a portable Gamecube VC could now be a reality? I've given up hope on ever seeing it happen on the Wii U now (reluctantly I deleted the empty GC folder on my home screen, replacing it with a TG-16 one) but for the Switch, especially with those triggers it has to happen. You can already get Android gaming devices which run everything up to Dreamcast (presumably they run well? I have no idea) and the Switch seems significantly more powerful than those so I'm definitely going to hold out hope for more powerful games being released on the Virtual Console. Obviously there's the whole space issue but if you can get 512GB SD cards now then... that would at least store a fair amount but speaking of patches and whatnot, perhaps Games like Skyrim won't even get a release until Nintendo are sure that the game is at a stable enough point that it won't be getting any more significant patches for a while, so perhaps you just get what's on the (probably already sizable) game card... or there will be intense compression technology used for such files, I have no idea but it will surely be interesting to find out. There's so much we don't know yet but at least now we've had a glimpse of the future and at first glance, I rather like it. : peace:

I thought as much! :p Now that I've seen that artwork though, I kind of want a 2D Mario Pikachu platformer, or at the very least a series of officially made levels by Nintendo within Super Mario Maker.

Perhaps it would be good to add (Merchandise) to the title... As interesting as this is (more Hanafuda cards are always good!) I read the title "Mario & Pokémon Crossover" and well... what's the first thing that comes into your head? I thought we had a new Wii U/3DS/Switch game just announced for a moment, anyway it's still cool though. : peace:

@Glen\-i and I, made a pretty formidable team this evening, although I didn't quite get up to HR lvl 64.5... I did get to HR 44 by the end of the evening, so there's that! A few standout moments but the best had to be the moment a Zinogre was about to finish off poor Glen as he was at low health and dazed, I noticed it was near death so I combo'd the beast and killed it just as it was a mere half-second away from a one-hit K-O! Plenty of other decent hunts, rounded off with a traditional assault on Astalos which was butchered pretty efficiently! Part of me can't wait to see what kind of Monster Hunter game we end getting on the Nintendo Switch but there's plenty of time until then.

Are you thinking in terms of starting with Litten, then when it fully evolves switching over to Rowlet? I think it's easier to get starter Pokémon these days, especially with the Breeding Centre presumably being available and there being online trading, I'm sure people on here would be more than willing to help you out with the trade as well... in fact, at what point in the game will you be needing a Rowlet? It's 100% likely that I'll be starting with Rowlet so depending on how early in the game the Breeding Centre is, I could breed it and trade you one? Though I'm guessing I'll also need a Ditto as well. We'll see anyway but I'll help if I can.

Oh yeah, that... I was more referring to the act of buying games and then not playing them but I think we can let you off in this instance seeing as you no doubt would have played it on the Wii if you could have done.

I think it was more the fact that you'd never played the game, so therefore you had inadvertently performed a "Dazzybee" so to speak. Anyway... I would say it's worth getting the cheaper Wii U Version, especially if you didn't get to play it on the Wii as I'm sure you'll be pleased with the clarity in this version. Besides, anything has got to be better than not being able to play it at all! I forgot about those dark days on the Wii VC where certain games just would not run on component on certain TV's... At least with the Wii U beng HDMI you know it's going to run being that it works on an all or nothing principle. : peace:

In all honesty, they are all good gifts. The mug is a nice item, though I'd feel that it's too nice to use so it would stay in its box... that packaging though. :awesome: The coasters seem reasonable, but I just have a feeling that the might end up being either kind of cheap, or again... too good to use so back in that lovely box. The book seems to be a nice notebook with a lenticular on the outer sleeve, shiny... but again I probably wouldn't ever write in it. The question mark tin is a lovely box in itself and it could go nicely on my desk, lots of small gaming bits could be stored in it... though it had better not arrive dented. The T-Shirt... is overpriced, basic and not so "limited" as we were led to believe when it was put in the Mario Z Boxes over at Zavvi some time ago... yeah I bought one for some odd reason so I already have that shirt. I think Nintendo missed a trick by not having a bundle with ALL the free gifts and the game for £64...

Pre-orders are now live on the Nintendo Store. Place it now - if you want - and you get to choose your free gift. Question mark block storage tin is clearly the best so I went for that. It's sad times indeed when you're more excited by the free gift than the game though... :p

If you do end up getting a PS4 when there are inevitably more deals, I can definitely say that The Last of Us Remastered is well worth getting. Originally I did buy the game on PS3 but it was the title which nearly finished off my aging original NTSC model console at the time, plus I didn't really "get" how to play it for some reason. So getting it on PS4 was like giving the game a fair trial in my eyes, indeed what a trial it was! The whole game world not only looked so much more convincing - from the PS3 original which already looked fantastic - but everything was running just as it should which drove me to stick with this unique, story-driven survival game and I'm so glad that I did as it's easily one of the most rewarding videogames I've played on the PS4 to date, probably even this generation.

Thanks to @Glen\-i and @RedShell for some fantastic hunts. I finally got up to HR7 and we helped Glen rocket up to over level 80... which then got me wondering what level I might end up jumping to? Deciding that it would be HR lvl 64 but with that being all too convenient so it will likely be one above or below... no... perhaps half, then 64.5. 64.5... could it be? NX!??! :wink: We're calling it now, soon after I get to HR lvl 64.5 then it will surely be time for the NX to be revealed, I mean it all makes perfect sense. Anyway, we shall see... I'd better keep playing Monster Hunter regularly in the evenings just in case. : peace:

OK, so... I'm freeee from 7PM onwards. Yes I do indeed want to play today. I do still have a 3DS. It is the New XL variant furnished in gold with Majora's Mask imagery adorning the outer shell. It does not match my Wii U sadly. I can confirm that it is (probably) not the NX. Who knows if this is the NX or the real world. I know not if you are the NX, only you can answer that question. Part of it may be an illusion but who knows what is real and mere imagination at this point. I previously had not answered you because... *bacon, which has now been consumed and was delicious, now that I have seen your questions I have endeavoured to answer them in sequential order, hopefully to your satisfaction and/or amusement. *I can confirm that the NX probably doesn't contain bacon or indeed that bacon doesn't contain the NX.
