I was wondering about this, I think places will only be selling them until stock is exhausted, then perhaps rebranding, I might be able to still some at the store where I work though if you need one? Sadly it's one of the few things we don't get discount off though due to it being classed as a gift card.

Back in stock at Tesco Direct... https://www.tesco.com/direct/nintendo-classic-mini-super-nintendo-entertainment-system/649-8711.prd?skuId=649-8711&pageLevel=sku This is because any order over ONE PER ADDRESS (presumably per account as well) will have the excess cancelled, that's what I get for trying to order an extra one for my brother. (I only ordered two) Anyway, grab one now if you haven't got one or want to secure an extra one for a family member or friend. I don't think limiting the amount is going to deter the hardcore resellers though, don't they just have multiple accounts set up with different addresses all set up to an algorhythm or something? I'm sure that's what happened with the NES Classic Mini. Oh well, it might stop people buying fifty at a time, you never know.

So I typed in "Sonic the Hedgehog Bongos" into a search engine and this is what I got... It can only be described as Sonic FMV & flash in glorious quality coupled with "The Bongo Song" for your viewing pleasure. Anyway... Happy Birthday @Josh64 I hope you're having a fantastic day filled with Sega, Simians and... Seaman! Large YouTube videos are large... enjoy.

Annnd gone... for pre-orders to last over half an hour, that's surely got to be most of the allocation, certainly for online in any case, I reckon some might be sent to stores but I don't know any Tesco store which stocks anything at all or at least anything significant which is Nintendo any more. Certainly not our store anyway, unless we've still got that one Wii U console out back still but I doubt it as that'd be taking up valuable warehouse space.
-
They are still available on Teso Direct half an hour later... perhaps all the allocation has just been put up all at once? Either way, best to get one now if you can. Direct delivery only, no click & collect so it might be online only at this rate.

These sold out quick on Tesco earlier but they are back in stock now, they must have cancelled the orders which would have been for large quantities or just got more stock. Either way, go,go,go!

I'm pretty sure that'd a cartridge-based glitch if ever I saw one, I've never seen anything like that happen in the Virtual Console versions of Super Metroid. Then again, I don't think I've played the Super Famicom version, it could also be unique to that version perhaps? Even so, it would still be a hard glitch to trigger again I'm sure, it's pretty cool either way so thanks for sharing, Ike. Damn... I want to play Super Metroid again now.

Yep, it's that time of year again. Happy Birthday @Kaepora_Gaebora I hope that you're having a fantastic day my fantastic feathered friend. Do you want to hear what I said again? => Nope Nah

I love all of your Superbly Creative Genial acronyms. Thank you for the birthday thread and the thoughtful wishes, I appreciate it. I did have a good day as well thanks, I was working but I came home to a nice meal and a delicious cake which I was deifnitely grateful for. Starting to feel better now too which is good, just got to shift the last of this general illness which I'd have for... too long now but aside from that, all is well.

Personally I couldn't even keep No Man's Sky in my collection after it had been such a letdown but I appreciate that there is room for it as a space themed exploration title with less emphasis on realism. However this means that I potentially have more time for Elite so I will be investing time in it at some point soon, I'm not expecting it to be something I'll play all the time but I can definitely see myself exploring a bit of space when I don't want to play anything else. That's not to say that I view Elite as being "not good enough to play" far from it, just that I know I probably won't devote solid weeks on end to it, unless it really surprises me of course. I'm excited to play it either way.

It sounds like you've got whatever I've had for weeks now Ashley, three weeks on and though I'm over most of it but its left me with Laryngitis... Work's going to be fun tomorrow, I might make a badge saying something like "I've lost my voice, please lip read or request morse code" [/illnessRant] Anyway, I hope you feel better soon and have a speedier recovery that I did/am having, all the best to you and your family.

There's only one title I won't bother adding to library in that selection for reasons aforementioned. I'll add the rest though and I'll likely play at least three of them. (Until Dawn, Tokyo Jungle and Darkstalkers Resurrection) The other titles I'd probably play if I had nothing else to invest my time in.

It's definitely not an ideal situation, this has been happening for so long now that it seems to have become a perilous business model for Nintendo. First it was the amiibo, then the NES Classic, then the amiibo again, plus various Special Edition games and now the SNES Classic. With something like this that has such a monumental release attached to it, I would have hoped that there would be greater stock levels so that more people could finally get to play StarFox 2. But now that I've seen just how quickly the pre-orders have sold out, Nintendo could have had five times the amount of stock and I'm still not convinced that it would have been enough. I think for something like this, it's worth going through the trouble of trying to secure a pre-order, or even paying slightly over the odds before the price rockets even more, even though I don't like that idea but for some of the other hard to get items I can understand why it doesn't feel worth the hassle.
-
Thanks I had a feeling that might be the case so I've put it on the card for now. (it is going to be an expensive month) With that said though, after taking the money I really hope these places will deliver, it'd be annoying to say the least to have paid, then wait three months only to be refunded. Hopefully that's not the case though, I hope that everyone manages to get their pre-orders and that there's enough to go around one way or another.
-
It took no less than three hours - on and off - to secure a pre-order with Grainger Games who I'm not convinced will honour the pre-order either, so I've got one with them, one with GAME (who I don't trust but who knows?) and the one which I've paid over the odds with on eBay out of sheer panic... so that's the only really guaranteed one. I'll keep you posted though, if I end up with more than the one SNES mini I overpaid for and if I can help anyone out on here then I will but as I've said, I don't have much faith in Grainger or GAME but, desperate times. I'm glad to have definitely secured one though even if it is at extra cost as this is most certainly going to be featured on the site when it eventually releases. Though I do hope Nintendo can allocate some extra stock by then because as nice as it will be to write an article about such a neat little device, it won't be good if everyone who wanted one can't get one for a reasonable price.
-
I can't believe it, went away from the PC probably minutes after it went live. Oh well, it has cost me, yep I've gone straight for the eBay route, before the prices go up even more, I need one and at least this should mean I definitely have one secured as I don't trust that GAME pre-order one bit. Nintendo could have comfortably listed this for £89.99 as it would still have sold out.

Yeah, so there's always the other side to it where a demo can help the case of a game, especially if it's an unproven potential new franchise. But I can understand some of the larger companies not bothering, to be fair unless a demo comes out significantly before a games general release - say a month or two - I tend not to bother if it's a game I know I'll be buying, though it could still be useful for others who are unsure. The main demo's I tend to download are for games such as Monster Hunter where they provide a set amount of different pre-made characters with classes to try out in addition to having a few monsters to hunt, just to get a feel for the game. I feel like the latest Monster Hunter World could do well from having a similar demo, while things such as yearly update titles - shooters, sports etc - I can understand why it wouldn't be worth the effort, aside from the obligatory multiplayer beta things. For smaller arcade games though, there definitely is a case to be made for them, especially as you have a lot of Kickstarter games these days, the devs tend to periodically give out demo's so you can see how the game is progressing, again a different situatution but there is a place for demo's. If there was suddenly a demo from E3 such as Sonic Mania suddenly made available to play, right now, I would be on it like a shot.
-
Ah those were the days, plus when you downloaded the demo, you were effectively downloading the full game, then if you decided that you wanted to buy, it was just a case of buying the unlock and continuing to play as normal with no interruptions. It was a really good component of the service from what I remember, the only thing I won't miss is the download times on the games at the time, not so much of an issue then but back in the early days, a few hundred MB took what seemed like forever, now we live in an age where just an update can eat as much space as a GB or more. But yes, demo's should be a key component of any modern digital storefront for all games, as standard and I don't understand why it isn't unless it has just become more of a complicated process somehow.
-
Same here, though I'm not convinced they'll actually come through, in all the confusion I did end up with two in my basket, I took one out though just in case because I'm assuming it'll be one per customer anyway.

Yes, the Nintendo Switch Grey theme is pretty decent, I'm using it by default now as it's a lot easier on the eyes.
