Wait, that's actually a thing? I just reached the Sand Kingdom last night and there was one that you could buy in the cap shop for 100 coins... I'm assuming I was meant to do that and that I haven't just conned myself out of finding it organically within the stage? I'm guessing that what you're referring to must come later on in the game and that it's made clear that you're buying Power Moons instead of being able to find them within the worlds. It's nice that the option is there for anyone who wants to use it but I'd rather nab them all the proper way if possible, so it's good to know these things.

I've just finished the introductory part of the game... ...loved every second. I can't wait to play more.

@Dcubed it seems that the "Search for Controllers" option once you've got all the pads connected you want to use, is what you need. Check this out... Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play some 2D titles with my beloved Hori GameCube controller.

I'm not even mad, I mean I did get Super Mario Galaxy two days early back in the good old days of Play.com and I remember how awesome that felt. I've already been avoiding any other gaming sites in case of spoilers, I'll likely duck out of this thread for a while too but I'm looking forward to playing Super Mario Odyssey soon. I was quite surprised to see Ninja Gaiden Black available for download on my Xbox One today, no disc required, it's just there. Apparently it was available for free if you had Xbox One Game Pass... which I've never had and never activated a trial for, yet I'm downloading Ninja Gaiden Black right now. Unless that's what you mean about digital licenses carrying over? I did play Ninja Gaiden Black on my Xbox 360 along with a few other games, so maybe that's why. Either way, this is a really excellent feature for the console.

@Ronnie that's a nice statue, it's First 4 Figures isn't it? Is it even bigger than my previously showcased Fierce Deity Link statue which sits proudly atop my well protected N64 games? If it was me then I'd be displaying that King of Red Lions statue alongside or close to GameCube games for certain. Enjoy it either way, as they are fantastic quality pieces, just be careful with it of course, especially if it has any potentially easily breakable pieces. Personally, I'm more than a little paranoid about accidentally damaging my Metal Sonic statue.

If you do then I could let you know from that if there's any titles I might be interested in to bolster my brothers collection (he's already got a few games in preparation) and we could maybe come to a deal if there are a few titles perhaps? Off the top of my head though, he'd probably be interested in the inFamous titles at least, or in any case I'm going to try and get him into them because I think it's a fantastic series.

What's perhaps most impressive is the fact that every game in that initial reveal video is now either out or almost out within a year on from that reveal and certainly within the first year of the actual release of the console.

Well... not content with taking... long enough to install the 50GB of data required for Forza 7 and after updating the console and the new controller plus all other updates/games that I wanted to install while I was there to avoid doing it next time. I thought to myself... let's play a quick game of Forza 7 to see what it's like... *clicks launch* back to dashboard *clicks launch again* 32.01GB update!!! *sigh* Oh well... back to playing on my Switch. Then some Forza 7 sometime before midnight... possibly. In fairness, the new dashboard is at least better and everything is a bit quicker, so there's that.

Looks like another indie title I'll be buying on the Switch. I'll just go and add that to the... *another new title announced!* ...ever... growing... *another new title announced!* ...list. *another new title announced!*

Nice! I've been looking for a reason to power up my Xbox One, so that I can update it, charge my new controller and take half a day installing Forza 7, while I play on my Switch. Looks like this is it! Oh, and I've just remembered that I've got Cuphead still to play.

@Animal you're completely in the right and I understand how you feel as I wouldn't go anywhere near one of those places, you're already doing more than I would in that situation so there's no way that you should feel bad about it at all, not in the slightest. Really, I feel like he should be appreciative that you're helping him at all as it seems like you're already doing stuff which may be out of your comfort zone perhaps? It's really rubbish of people to try and make you feel pressured into doing something that you clearly don't want to do when you're already doing your best. Nah, sod that... you're doing the right thing by not going, not changing your mind and sticking to your guns.

Ah... Special Reserve, how I miss thee. I won a game from them, there was a competition to write an article about the launch of the GameCube and they just so happened to publish mine. What game did I choose? Why Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the N64 of course! ( I likely mentioned this in general gaming when I was showcasing my N64 games) I'm sure we were both forum members there back in the day were we not? Probably along with a few other N-E forum members as well.
