Haha, I'd agree with that. But, maybe that's just the Nintendo way, to follow their own path. It certainly doesn't hurt to take a lot at what others are doing though, if only for inspiration. What gets me is that sometimes things are just not as fleshed out as they could be with Nintendo. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is probably the best example of a fleshed out Nintendo game. It has everything, they really went to town with that. But sometimes there's just that one niggling thing that they leave out that could have been nice. For example, people were disappointed at the lack of online mode in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Others were simply disappointed that they just opted to use 2 Toads instead of individual characters. ExciteTruck was a great game, but an Online mode would have made it legendary. Then, ExciteBots has the online mode and doesn't come out in Europe at all. They can be baffling sometimes. I like Miyamoto. He's already reached God status to me, and I thank him for a magical childhood. But, when Nintendo say they make games for everyone, they really should make games for everyone. It's nice making these simply but fun games like WiiSports, but I'd like him to really go to town and make something with the same depth and detail as Brawl. Something where you can really sink your teeth into and enjoy over a longer period of time. I think it's really time that gamers were treated to that "new Nintendo game" that can hold a candle to classics such as the Mario and Zelda series. Where's those type of games for the crowd that do crave them?

I really like the Underground. It's very well constructed and I like how you can get pretty much anywhere on it. I much prefer it to the Paris Underground, but maybe that's because I've had less experience with that one. I've had a quick google search for you and found this: 101 things to do in London. Granted, most of it would be touristy stuff, such as Museums and Visit Big Ben, that sorta thing. Daft has made a pretty good list. It really depends what you want to get out of it. If you're after a pub or place to eat, there must be a million and one to find in London. Keep walking and go wherever your feet take you!

Hahaha. He sounded like he wanted to physically hurt the Ninjabread Man. So short as well, gosh.

It's got a good team behind it. You should listen to some Mogwai, but it definitely isn't for everyone. Some mind find it boring but they've this great way of making you feel all these different emotions from their music. I hope to see them live one day. Really, this film won't be for everyone either. It looks at all the motions and emotions a person goes through when they're on the big stage. As you're a lover of art, you might pick up something that relates to you in the film, whereas I might pick up something different. I could imagine somebody getting bored with this type of film, as there isn't an exciting or fast placed plot or a range of characters or dialogue to keep people entertained, but then it isn't a conventional "film" nor is it trying to be. Give it a try, I reckon. The worst you can do is not like it, heh.

Haha. Is it "so bad it becomes God-like" or "So bad it makes you want to murder your family"? Also, you fail for even thinking about selling Excite Truck. I love that game too much.

Somewhere in the World, an Ubisoft and Activision Exec are sitting together sipping Champagne. Sham-Pagun?

Today, I had to pop into Cardiff, so I thought I'd visit the shops whilst I was at it. I bought this for £3: aaaaand For a fiver. So excited to watch it. I only saw a bit of it when I visited a Museum in the Netherlands with Ine. This is the perfect combination. Zidane and Mogwai. Oh yes...I am boring.

Well done to your sister and congratulations to you both! Long Distance Relationships?! Pah. Like they ever work! In all seriousness, there's no telling whether they'll work or not. It's just like any other relationship, but there's just a bigger focus on how well you can "stick together" despite being a distance away. For example, I had a friend at uni in Brighton (where I was) but his girlfriend was in Bournemouth, which is where he was from. So, kinda same situation to you I guess. (I dunno how far apart they are though in terms of miles...hmm) They argued pretty much all the time on the phone, mainly because they were both insecure and he was too clingy - getting annoyed when she went out and guys were there, etc. In a stark contrast, I don't think me and the Ine ever had half the problems they did, and we were further away! Work that one out. The answer: They sucked. It's not easy, but no relationship is. You have to be committed to it, like working out when you'll see each other and stuff. It can be lonely being apart, but then it feels so much sweeter when you do meet up. Essentially, it's an educated risk. You work out whether you would get along when you are together, and how you would be when you are not together. You might not know yet. I don't think I knew how things were going to turn out, so I just took the risk and hoped for the best. If I had to make the same choice again, it would be the same answer everytime.

I've had a sexy week in the land of the Belgiums. Did many lovely things, including visiting a zoo, where I witnessed Zebra Rape. Seriously, one was chasing the other, and I thought they were just playing. And then...surprise sex. We had a lovely final night, where we went out to a Latino Bar, ate the yummy food, then went to a pub to drink ciderrrr. That evening was pretty much my ideal night out: A good meal, in a nice pub with the Ine, drinking cider, good live music from an old man of unknown origin, and to top it off...the pub was showing El Classico (Real Madrid vs Barcelona) on the telly. That is my heaven. If only it were the Manchester Derby, but that'll still do quite nicely! We have also made a mountain of Tiramisu, which currently rests in her fridge. I don't think it will get eaten... Now, I am back on British soil. Day off tomorrow but should know my hours for this week tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm not quite in the mood for work yet, hehe.

N-Europe London Meet Sat July 24th 2010

A banner? Are people flying into the Park by helicopter now? Maybe we need somebody to design runway lights that can be seen from above. Or, a target zone. -
I meant class on the pitch. I think it goes without saying that there are a lack of high profile footballers who show class both on and off the field. I thought Ribery was better than that. Yeah, add in the Prick Factor and he's definitely a potential Arsenal Legend. I don't like it when any players do it. If it's one of ours, I'll give them hell for it. The other things I hate are when players go down over light tackles and take an eternity to get up. Whether it's a United player or anyone else, I don't like to see that kinda thing. ~ ~ ~ A bit gutted we didn't get the 3 points at Ewood Park. But, they've been good defensively this season, so it wasn't going to be an easy game at all. We should've been more prepared for that. Playing Scholes and Giggs in midfield wasn't a very positive decision, imo. We need somebody who will be busting a gut to get into the box, an exciting central midfielder. Scholes can do this sometimes but given his age, you can't expect him to do it week in week out anymore. I really don't think you can play both of these players together, especially not in central midfield. ~ ~ ~ Well done to Pompey for getting to the FA Cup Final. I hope you beat the Chelsea Scum to a pulp.

N-Europe London Meet Sat July 24th 2010

Haha, I chuckled at The Bard's post. Yes, greetings will definitely be coming. From above! Hurrah, I'm glad all the hotel stuff and tickets have been booked. No faffing around later on. Although, if Ine somehow manages to lose a leg or something, the hotels are non-refundable... *shakes fist* You Bettterrr Be Okkkk. I can't wait to grope ReZ's arsecrack. -
I'm devastated after the game yesterday. We were killing them in the first half, and then we made the same mistakes as we did in the first leg: We sat back and watched ourselves get over-run in midfield. On that second half performance, we don't deserve to go through to the next round. Like I said last week, if the players themselves can't get up for such a big game, then they only have themselves to blame. The contrast in halves was astounding... But, yesterday there were two players who can hold their heads up high, and they are Nani and Gibson: Both tried so very hard and they didn't deserve to be on the losing team. Valencia can probably be added to this group, too. I think one player who can't wait until the season is over is Michael Carrick. His performances have fluctuated throughout this season. Yesterday, he should've done better for their first goal and he gave away the ball which eventually led to Bayern winning the corner that Robben scored from. His best performance this year was probably the away game at Arsenal, dictated the midfield in that game, but he's been a bit suspect this season. Staap whining/talking like a bitch. I agree with you about Ribery. I thought he had more class than that. I thought Rafael was very hard done by to get sent off. But then, if I were Ribery, I would want that guy off the pitch. Especially if that guy is a teenager who has had you in his pocket for the duration of the game so far. I laughed pretty hard at Vidic. He's a funny man. Great little character.

I don't think he'll bomb your butchers...
Fierce_LiNk replied to Raining_again's topic in General Chit Chat
Happy Birthday, Sucker. I hope you've enjoyed it. For some reason, I got confused before I opened this thread, thinking that it was a birthday thread for Iun. I'm pretty sure there's been no fire-bombing going on with him, but I still thought of the dude. Maybe a Sheikah-Iun hybrid can be made to solve any problems that people might have in distinguishing you both. Think of eet like an egg. You'd have the runny yolk of you, but the tasty white of Iun. There's a cum joke in there somewhere, I'm sure of it. Happy Birthday. May your day be blessed with acrobatic sex with your chosen female. -
Well done to Newcastle for getting promoted back to the top flight. It was very strange seeing you go down in the first place. It's one of those things that you know could happen, but you don't think it will. I'm oddly excited by Arsa-Barca Part II. I don't like Arsenal, but I would be chuffed for them if they could go there and do something special. Although, we would never hear the end of it...

Happy Belated Birthday, You Erection.

Sorry for the delay in posting a birthday message, EEVIL. The Ine and I were trying to think of something amusing, but after Ashley's post we ran out of ideas. I laughed hard at that one. Happy Birthday from us. SHABBA'ISE AWAY!

Our goals depend on how well the midfield play. I think a lot of people wrongly believe that Rooney just plucks his goals out of thin air. If our midfield don't turn up, we don't score. If the team are not up for it next week, then I guess it's fair to say that we don't deserve to go through. How can anybody not be up for a Champions League Match, or a big Premier League Clash? I doubt it. He's played about 45 minutes+ in the reserves and I don't think he's anywhere near fit enough to compete in the League yet. He'll get a few minutes or a cameo appearance towards the end of the season, but that's it. Next season is when he can rebuild again. It made more sense at the time, given our defensive woes. Also, we could be out of the Champions League next week and Hargreaves isn't match fit, so he did the right thing by taking another player who we were more likely to use.

I've been travelling today, as I'm visiting The Ine. So, managed to find a pub in London to watch the game before catching the Eurostar. Somehow also managed to make friends with a guy from Croatia and Zimbabwe. London, what a place, haha. The game itself was disappointing. We didn't look anywhere near up for the game. All this talk of how we would cope without Rooney was a complete waste of time...we should have been focusing on how the midfield would cope against Chelsea's, and the truth is they battered us in midfield, particularly in the first half. Second half we were a little better, but we couldn't get the ball up to Berbatov. He must have had about two chances in the whole game, and I don't think any other striker would have faired any better with those attempts. Yeah, Drogba's goal was offside, but the fact was we were poor in midfield for the second time in a week and we just didn't look up for the challenge. Disappointed that we didn't close them down quicker, and that we gave them too much time on the ball.

Played this a bit more earlier. Love it completely. The "backtracking" and mission structure seems fine to me, but I can see why others would find it repetitive. The sword combos that you learn are great fun. This is a very satisfying game to play. In fact, perhaps a bit tooooo satisfying!

I watched this last night, too! Stop stalking me. Love this film, and has to be one of my favourites now. It seems to be very hit and miss with people, though. I don't know how you could not love it...it's a very sweet film. Bittersweet, even.

Add "lite" onto the end of eet, and we have a deal. Or, Advance. Either one. Anyone remember this?: It's creative, I'll give it that.

I heard the word Interpol and came running. Well done for mentioning them, Dan. You have won my heart. Perhaps more... Also, I'm hooked on Mogwai at the moment. Particularly this little one: Something about it just feels very peaceful. I played this to one of the classes I was teaching when they came into the room, to instill some calmness.
