That sounds like a good plan. Out of curiosity (again) would you have been worried at all about him trying it on?
-
Haha, I agree. Best not to tempt fate. Fob him off somewhere else, Razz.
-
True, but who's to say that Razz wouldn't tell him where to go if he tried it on? If he did stay, then maybe Razz could lay down the law from the beginning: Keep your distance, OR ELSE YOU WILL DIE. But yeah, safest course would be to place him somewhere else. Very generous letting an ex stay with you, as Bard says, you don't owe them anything.
-
It would be a good idea if you could find him somewhere else to stay, because it would direct the grief it could cause away from you.
-
Hmm, I agree that it would be a test of trust. Razz has said that nothing at all will happen though, so I guess it really is about how the boyfriend will react. Out of curiosity, is there a reason he is staying with you and not other friends?
-
Be honest with him, I reckon. Then, he hasn't got a reason to suspect anything/worry, because you've been upfront with him. It's only for a night anyway.
-
It wasn't the best derby, in all honesty. Notttthing like the one earlier in the season, or the two Carling Cup games. This was definitely the weakest of the four. Paul Scholes was the best player on the pitch, so it was fitting he got the winner. City weren't as up for it as I thought they were going to be.

N-Europe London Meet Sat July 24th 2010

Yeah, doing stuff can help with the bonding. Its just nice to do stuff together as well, that you wouldn't be able to do with people over the internet. -
Haha, nothing jammy about it. Perseverance. If we didn't go for the win, then I definitely think we would be slugging it out with Arsenal for second. Football is never over until the whistle blows. Never give up. I hope it'll be a good game. The reverse fixture earlier in the season was pretty good, but I was fuming when you went 1-nil up so early on. Ah, and that was also the game where Anderson got his first goal. Shame the lad is injured, as he was quality in that game. I had a stitch from laughing so hard at that. Haha. Earlier in the season I heard this about Liverpool which made me chuckle. "Liverpool - 18 - 5. (refering to their league titles and champions league trophies." 18 - 5. 6 oclock on Channel 5.

Ooo, the game went ahead after? Sweet. If anyone fancies a little kick about, I'll be up for it. There's no reason we can't do everything. We can have lots of time sitting on the grass, chatting and getting to know each other. Then, in the evening time, if people are still sticking around, we could do something else as Ine suggested, like visit the arcade or go to grab some food or something. -
Definitely. That's why I commented on him as a sportsman and a man. My last sentence or so in my previous post still stands though. Had the story not come out, then the other affairs would probably have stayed a secret, as well.
-
Dude, not all blokes are obsessed with sex. We have control. We don't all instantly become erect everytime some girl gives us the come on. About Tiger Woods: Great golfer. But, as a man, I think he has acted very weak. If he had made one mistake, then he could hold his hands up and hope his wife forgives him. But, there have been so many women that have come out and said that he's been at it with them. There's even reports that he had an affair whilst his wife was pregnant. Maybe that's a reason why she was not "putting out", as you say. I agree that his celebrity status has led to the story being given lots of exposure. But what you also need to take into account is that more women have now come forward since the story has broken. If the story hadn't been given exposure, then maybe his wife would only find out about the one woman. He would've got away with the others. It's shameful, really. Yes, he's a sportsman and not a "God." But, from the looks of things, he's been abusing his celebrity status and using that to cheat on his wife.

It won't be an easy game. I've got a feeling one goal might do it. Spurs look like they can find the net a lot easier than we can at the moment. If you tighten up the midfield then you'll frustrate us, as we rarely have won this season when our midfield have been overrun or pressured. Will Palacios be playing? If so, him and/or Huddlestone in the middle will be big for you. Then, there's Bale on that left side. So, Bale and Benoit versus (probably) Gary and Valencia. That'll be a big battle, too. Valencia has been brilliant this season, and I'm confident he'll do a good job on that side. Tracked back wonderfully against Bellamy yesterday. We need the win, so I really, really hope that drives us. Even then, it might not be enough. Chelsea have to go to Liverpool without Fernando Torres...if Chelsea go there knowing they need a win, I think they'll get it. You'd expect them to. I don't know if Arsenal will beat City. Really can't call that one. Again, it depends on the midfield. If City pressure Arsenal and hurry them, I reckon they'll pinch it. It'll be a nightmare if City get fourth. Indespensable budget + Champions League Football = better players coming their way. If Tottenham can't get fourth this season, I seriously doubt they'll be able to get it next season, unless another team really cocks up. So really, for Villa, Everton (and probably Liverpool) and your sake, we better pray they don't get fourth. Obviously it'll make the league interesting for everyone else/the neutrals, but that's besides the point!
-
Come on, guys. Peace, love and football and all that. Dazzy, I love what Tottenham have done this season and will be delighted if they finish fourth above Liverpool and City. But for next weekend, I really hope we give you a good hiding...which probably won't happen, given your form. Definitely no 9-1s in that game. I know, it's part of the football banter and all that. I said that in a post earlier.
-
He played around 3 or 4 games, yeah. In the 3-2 win against Liverpool, that game against Southampton. Famously, that 5-0 defeat against Chelsea... Just checked up, he got the man of the match award for the game against Liverpool. No idea how, as I remember him flapping at crosses. He made a few decent saves, I'll give him that, one or two great saves, but he was one of the worst players I've ever seen. The two keepers you're thinking of were Mark Bosnich and Raymond Van Der Gouw. Can't say either of them were particularly great...apart from a few standout games, they were a bit carp, imo. Easily the best keeper we've had since The Great Dane has been the one we have now, Van Der Sar. I fear we're going to go through a troublesome patch trying to find his successor. Tommy K is pretty good and has done alright this season, but I don't know how him or Ben Foster would cope being number one. Thinking about it, City got an absolute bargain with Shay Given. I feel we could have been in the market for him. Hmm. 8 million? Missed a trick there.
-
Haha, I like that. Tight arse. You made up for it by having Shay Given between the sticks, though. He got you out of some sticky patches. You can thank your lucky stars that you never had Massimo Taibi.

My old housemates though it would be great for my masculinity to epilate my legs. Foolishly, I decided to let them do eet. Never again. Before that, my ex thought it would be great for me to see what it feels like to wax your own leg. So, she did part of my shin for me. I yelped. I was completely hairy all over apart from one strip of bare, naked skin on my right leg. The things women go through for us. One day, Coolness, when you obtain your own female, you will appreciate them for all of this stuff. The waxing and the epilating. Be grateful all we have to do is shave! -
Haha. Titus Shambles and Charles Insomnia, weren't it? Heh. Also, I was never much of a fan of James Milner at Newcastle, but he is looking a much different player at Villa. Better in every single department.

Funny enough, I was thinking that Wigan and Arsenal were quite similar in what areas they need to improve. Wigan really lack someone up front who will come up with a goal. Arsenal have Bendtner, but really I think fans wanted to see Van Persie. Even then, I think Arsenal would benefit from another forward, but it looks like you're making progress there with Chamakh, and anyway Bendtner can be great on his day. But its all about options. Its never bad to have someone on the bench who can give you a goal. I think both teams needed someone in midfield who would run things. An enforcer type of player, a general. You have Song, and on his day he is brilliant. Wigan need someone like this, too, I feel. Today and against Spurs, the team would have benefited from him. Someone who can cover the defence and look at the whole pitch in front of him, and dictate the game accordingly. United had Paul Scholes in that role yesterday, and he was outstanding. Arsenal didn't have that today. It's those sorts of areas that Arsenal need to improve because at some point in each season you will probably have to do without Fabregas or Song or Arshavin. Just like others teams have to cope. There's bound to be some decent Leeds fans out there. We just haven't met them yet. I enjoy the games against them, but I wish they would show a bit more grace or class.

What? Didn't you guys do stuff in the evening or something? -
Unlucky, dude. On a positive note, I have to say that Eastmond is quality. Looked really good today. Heh, I don't need to, I've already had the pleasure of meeting some Liverpool and Leeds fans. I've had lemons that are less bitter. I know it's part of the jokey side of football, but sometimes it can be quite sad. I like to see other teams give Liverpool a pasting, or give Arsenal the run-around, but first and foremost you should always look at your own team. There's this one Leeds friend of mine who just gets on my fucking nerves. ALWAYS making comments on his facebook about Man United losses, but he should be looking at his own team. He would be thrilled to play against Bayern Munich or against Man City, and he knows it.
-
Yeah, he should be celebrating his own victory rather than somebody else's loss. But, you just made it sound like hated the guy, heh.
-
Surely some sort of compromise can be met. Where you can regard yourself as British and European without favouring one over the other. It's the same within Britain. You can be both British and English, for example. You don't and shouldn't have to favour one over the other. I do agree with your point about smaller governments.
-
Could not believe that. I thought Wigan started off well, but you'd have put your house on Arsenal finishing the game on top after getting the second. Really remarkable. Once Wigan got the first, I was cheering them on to get an equaliser. They really surprised me, as I thought they'd see the game out and get a draw. But no, they push on and get the third. They have bottle, you've got to give them that. They kept going and going, and they've earned those points. I do think they need someone up top with some quality, though. They can play some good football, but there were a few times where they wasted their opportunities. They get the ball into good positions but I think they need someone in the box who can cause problems. Moses looked good for them when he came on, but I think they're short of an attacking player or two. Was there any need for that?

I didn't used to think much about the Euro. Didn't have an opinion which was here nor there. But, I travel quite a lot to Belgium nowadays, and it is a bit of a pain in the arse transfering from one currency and then to the next. I think I'm getting a bit fond of the euro. Like you say, we could have a British Specific Euro. I'm pretty sure that Ine/Eenuh has shown me a variety of different Euros from different countries she's been to, with different designs on them relating to the country. If the system was a bit complicated where you had something like 60 euro cents to a Euro, then I can see why we wouldn't like it. But...is it all that different to what we use in Britain? There's 100 cents to a Euro, and even the denominations are the same to what we have over here. From what I know, there are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent coins and a one euro and two euro coin. Then you have banknotes. I personally just think the majority don't want to go with it because they feel they're losing some kind of British Identity by ditching the pound.
