Red Steel 3 (Vitality Sensor compatible!)
Fierce_LiNk replied to darksnowman's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I've really enjoyed what I've played of Red Steel 2. Haven't got around to finishing it yet due to time constraints, but I would welcome a sequel with open arms. As long as they put as much time and thought into it (if not more) as they have done with this game. -
Well Done, Fulham! Unlucky Liverpool. Agent Forlan does it again.

Haha, it was worth a go. But yes, if there's any spare going, I would be extremely grateful if I could have one. I will repay you by getting you a pint at the N-E meet, if you go. Or, I'll show you sexually revealing photos of myself. Depends how (un)lucky you get really. Also (Eminem talk) I loved The Way I Am when I was younger. What a great song. Very provocative and aggressive, I thought.

Haha, whenever there's a "funny" tackle taking place somewhere, I'll refer to that as a Paul Scholes Tackle. They're both great. You'd love them if they played for you. And, I'd probably like them less if they did. (that 99 goal is one of my favourites)

Aye, I use dumbells as well. I'm thinking that slowly I'm maybe "relying" on the Smith too much and should use more free weights. If I just did flat benching, then I'd probably just use free weights. But, I use more incline these days. Hmm. Also, (unless you use dumbells) the barbell rack is quite busy sometimes. We'll see, Friday will be my chest day, so I'll see then.

I like Nicky, but what's not to like about Giggs or Scholes? Wonder if Khilafah will be making an appearance, I'd love to hear his thoughts on the "footballing spectacle" that took place over two legs between Lyon and Bayern. Well done, Inter. They defended really, really well. Looked comfortable for most of it. Unlucky not to finish the game with a clean sheet. How many teams can say that? The red card was stupid on behalf of the player. In this day and age, if you raise a hand to anyone, you run the risk of being carded. Motta should've known better. Cambiasso was outstanding tonight. I thought Eto'o put in a great shift as well, especially after the sending off.

Do any of you guys or girls use the Smith Machine at the gym? I've been using that for (incline) bench pressing, but now I'm not sure if I should be using this or should just be doing free weights instead? Hmm.

Aye, I got a terrible eating life-style at uni. Pub food shouldn't be so tasty...and sometimes cheaaap. Too many bluddy takeaways! Damn you, friends. Well done on having your own local meat place, thats good. Some places around where I live are right cheeky buggers with some of the prices they've been charging. I've found that I don't miss chocolate or coke too much. I only ever have it when I'm with Ine, because then it's...a like a little treat. My Dad was taking the piss earlier, saying what will happen to you when you stop going to the gym? Your muscles will turn to moosh. Screw you, old man!
-
I can't remember the last time I had chocolate. Probably about 2 weeks ago in Belgium. So, I've cut that out too, haha. Same with coke and fizzy drinks. What do you eat on a day to day basis? I haven't tasted chips for what feels like forever.

I'm somewhere around between 5'6 and 5'8, so not that tall. I used to be very skinny, around 60kilos quite a few years back. Then, the weight seemed to pile on at once. I used to go to a gym about the time I first met Ine, which is around 18 months or so ago, but I didn't go for long as I went in my summer break from uni (back at home). So, I gained another stone then, but that time it was mostly muscle. So, at the moment I'm hovering around the 80/82 kilo zone and have been going to this gym for around 9 months. I've noticed friends saying that I seem a bit bigger every time they meet up with me. I don't seem/feel that big (like a house) or anything like that quite yet. My back definitely feels bigger, and my arms feel a bit bigger. As you say, you dropped the fat first then built the muscle. I kinda did it the other way around. Building muscle whilst trying to drop off the fat. Not easy, heh.
-
Good work, Wolfy. I think I only see the difference in myself if I look back at older pictures. Last year I was probably bigger in terms of fatness. I still have a bit more to lose, but I think I look more in shape now. I cleaned through my wardrobe recently and found that a lot of the t-shirts I was wearing last year won't even fit me anymore. I'm still trying to bulk up/build muscle, but the main thing is shifting this fat at the moment. I weighed myself a few days ago and was shocked to find I'm now 80/82 kilos. Heaviest I've even been. But I feel and look less fat than last year. Hoping it's the muscle...somewhere.

Revelation, I meant. Hmm, they probably do nowadays. Did other games have that at around that time, though?

I thought I'd revive this thread. How is the gymmage going, people? My brother has bought a bench and now he's looking to buy some barbells. I think he's caught the fitness bug off me. We've been playing a little bit of cricket outdoors lately, so it's getting him active. My abs ache from yesterday, and I'm still feeling a bit "leggy" and tired from the cardio I did yesterday.

Got a phone call yesterday from my agency woman. "Hi, Jamal/Jim." "Hi, there." "I know you're looking for permanent work now...have you ever thought about relocating?" "Uh...it depends where to really." "Well, how about London?" "Whaaaa?" A job has come up in the Slough area, which as you can imagine would be a bit of a commute. I was told that the person dealing with the applications for there would ring me back in a bit. So, she calls me back about 10 oclock this morning and runs through the details of the job with me. It would be working in a High School, but I would be taking some kind of nurture group. So, I would solely be teaching them, which I would be happy to do. The job sounds really interesting. She emails me later with further details, and all these forms to fill. I was a little dismayed to find that the application close date is tomorrow, so it meant that I had to fill in a form, complete with a fresh personal statement and email it back before 5 today. A race against the clock, but I think I did ok. Sent it off, but not sure if the application is any good. Will see.

That was Shadows of the Empire? They had the exact same level in Rogue Leader (Hoth). Hmm, a bit disappointed by that revelation. My apologies, Moogle.
-
Not sure if you're being sarcastic or something, but I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Rogue Squadron there.
-
As does this: There were Rogue Leader, which was Rogue Squadron 2. Then, you had Rebel Strike. Although, I wasn't a fan of it. You had the whole of Rogue Leader to play on Co-op, but the main game itself was a bit...poorly executed. The flying bits were ok. It looked great. But, the rest of it (on-foot sections) were poor. Rogue Leader was excellent. Less. IS MORE.

Hahaha, that Slayer one is brilliant. I really like that one.
-
Oh, I liked it alright. It just doesn't have the same "energy or kick" that Metallica's version of the song has. Still good, though.
-
It's different, and it all goes together well. I double clicked the video to take me to the youtube page and it says that all instruments are by one guy? That's impressive, Starfox. Still prefer the original. Has a bit more energy, I think. Although the solo in the smooth jazz version is awesome.

Well, you'd think so. But didn't Louis Saha get harshly sent off in Europe this season, despite their being an official behind the goal? I think the thing with Villa is whether or not you can keep your more talented players. Same with Spurs. If you both keep the squad you have, but add to it in the Summer, you could do well next season. It's when your start selling off key components that it becomes an issue. Look at Liverpool with Alonso. Although, realistically, if City get fourth, I think you'll find it very tough to get into the top four next season. City now have an indispensable budget, and if they get Champions League Football, it will attract more players to their club. So, you'd expect them to have a better squad next season. If they get fourth this season, they'll be looking at higher than that next year. Unless it all spectacularly goes bad for them, for some reason or another.

Technology does work in other sports and it works well. Look at Rugby. I have seen dozens of games, probably even hundreds where I can safely say that the "right" outcome of the game has been reached thanks to the video referee. Hell, it's even used in Tennis (Hawk-eye) and it has been used to decide vital points in vital games. Hawk-eye is even used (to a certain extent) in cricket to help with LBW decisions. If it's used correctly, then football will still remain an exciting game. Rugby still remains an exciting game, and at the end of the day you know that the right team wins under the right circumstances. There's no or very little bitterness over "The Referee getting it wrong." Football is far too much about the referee these days. In fact, why do we even know the names of referees these days? They're there to judge the game, they're not stars in their own right. They should be impartial and given as little attention as possible. You're right, they are two different challenges. But one is still very clumsy whilst the other is not. Assou-Ekotto had quite a poor game, and I think Dazzybee will agree with me there. That tackle summed him up that afternoon. I like the guy, really rate him...although that's probably based on last season rather than this one. Hmm, when you look at the fixtures, it really is down to Man City and how well they do. If City beat both Spurs and Villa, then it's theirs. The only way Villa will get fourth is if...Spurs and City draw, Villa beat City away and Tottenham lose points against Burnley and/or Bolton. Too many assumptions. I'd expect Spurs to beat Bolton and Burnley, so then it comes down to that clash with City. You never know what could happen...
