Have you played any of the Metroid games? It's a great series, quite under-rated. I'm a bit gutted by this. Really was looking forward to this. But, it's not the end of the world. It's not like they've decided to cancel the game, or anything. That is a disaster.

Haha, I always said to people that I thought Gerrard had an ugly side, and was secretly a bit "dirty" and I got laughed at. They weren't laughing when that story broke about him hitting that DJ. Haha, I think hell will froze over before that happens. Liverpool would have to be incredibly foolish to sell him to a top four rival. Unless they have some kind of amazing plan that this is part off...

Jesus, he's in a lot of trouble if that's true. It's not just an affair/sex outside of marriage, but it's actually him breaking the law. Very similar to the Ribery story. Of course, all of this had to come out in a World Cup year! Capello must be wondering what he's doing managing these players. It's stuff like this which gives all footballers a bad reputation. It just makes them seem devoid of morals or responsibility. I know players like Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher are thought to be a bit too "rough" on the field, but off the pitch I can't fault them at all. For Liverpool, I really respect players like Daniel Agger and Pepe Reina. They perform well off the pitch and you never have to worry about hearing about dodgy stuff going on in their personal life. Every team has its players like this, the model professional, and really it is just a small number who give the rest a bad rep.

Sorry about the people being vagina-flappers. Maybe you could slip them some strongbow in their sleep, so that they wake up drunk and in a better mood? Would that work? No. Then shove the can up their arse, then. Brightonia! Maybe I could run away there too and we could form a circus?

Hmm, I really don't know. It's really hard to picture him leaving Liverpool. I know the British press can be a pain in the arse, but are the Italian media that much better? They're probably not as bad as the English or Spanish media, but I don't think he'll be in for an entirely easy ride. Not these days anyway. A big part of me thinks that he'll ride the wave and come back from this. He loves the club and I think it'll take an awful lot to get him to leave that behind.

I read about that on the 606 forums, but I didn't know whether it just a rumour or the truth. Would explain why he looks knackered this season.

I have watched this for you, de Bluester. Who is this Sacha? The creator of the vid, or a star?

I hope so! It's time like these when I start to feel nervous, haha *nervous laughter, sweaty palms, hiccups* What she means is that the relationship with her ex was an uber long distance one. Whereas as ours is still technically a long distance relationship, we meet up more frequently. We see each other on average about once every six or seven weeks. Which, compared to once a year, is a blessing considering. Awesome work, Spune. I almost typed your name as Spunk then, oh dear. Haha. Do tell. Not pleasant?

The Crisp Sandwich Diaries and other stories
Fierce_LiNk replied to Guy's topic in General Chit Chat
You lie about not liking crisps. What about Doritos?! Chips, crisps, same bluddy thing. Put them in a sandwich. Take away the butter if you don't want eet. Then, you can thank us all later. -
I used to suffer quite badly from migraines when I was a kid. It's gradually got a lot better over the years. I seem to get ill at exactly the same time each year. Usually I get headaches and tiredness around October. When I was in school, I used to get bad colds, a chesty cough and runny noses whenever it came to exam seasons. But, I was never one to worry or stress out about exams, so I don't think that played a part. It would just seem to come on because it was that time of the year, heh. So, on the whole I wouldn't say I was sickie-prone, but I wouldn't say I had an extremely great record for non-sickness. It's about in the middle. About 2 years ago, I was working on a school placement and I had this incredibly bad chest pain. Literally couldn't stand up straight without feeling pain. I went into school anyway, but taught practically crouching over. The first day with that pain wasn't too bad, but the second day was awful. In the end, my mentor told me to get myself checked up. It was a form of Pleurisy, I think. Quite nasty, but I seemed to recover from it quickly after some good medicine. Apart from that, I've been lucky. Never really broken anything, never had anything. Never had swine flu either.

Hahahahahahahaha. Yeeeees! You know the way of the clams.

Happy Birthday, Gaggle. 64! SIXTY FOUR!

I would love to play a Metroid game using that art style. Great work.

Cunting reminds me of The Exorcist. "Do you know what your cunting daughter did?!" Haha. Cunt itself is a horrible word. Very ugly. Just thought of another favourite: Clumsy. But, it's only fun when you pronounce it like "Clam-sy." Whenever Clamsy is used, you need to accompany it with both of your hands imitating a clam-shell opening and closing.

Glad to see some love for the commentary for that final. So many great moments. Giggs with the shot-SHERINGHAAAAM! Also, seeing the ball float into the box, with the Great Dane coming up for the corner. God, I remember that so vividly. Funny enough, the commentator mentions that they'll be going into extra time, looking for a golden goal *the camera switches to Ole Gunner Solskjaer on the left, with the ball* "Unless Ole Gunner Solskjaer can conjure up something special..." Which he did, but not until right at the end. Hearing the roar go up for that second corner. Haha, aye. Although, I normally use "He mugged him there!" than the rape example. Hahahahaha. That's brilliant. He would make a great commentator for the world cup. Get him and Jack Van Gelder, I say.

About Game: I met this great worker there a few years back, during the years of the Gamecube. He was helping out a customer who had recently bought a Gamecube, but didn't know what new games to purchase. So, he was walking around the store with her, talking about all these different titles. Then, it came to a point where he had picked up Eternal Darkness off the shelf and literally sold the game to her right there and then. He spoke truthfully about the game. Ranted and raved about it, but gave an accurate description about what the game offered. Mentioned the pros and cons. Compared it to similar games or films. In the end, he sold that to her, along with another game or two. I was stood with my Mum at the time, watching the guy and was really, really impressed. He knew his stuff, he helped the customer and didn't do it in a patronising or smarmy way. He could have just sold her any old crap, but he picked a quality title and he sold it a lot better than any advert that I have seen for that game. Now, that's great service. Since going back to there or to Gamestation or HMV, I've never seen service such as that. When I go into stores that sell musical instruments, the people there are very knowledgeable about the subject matter. You can have many interesting conversations, in a down to earth way. I don't think it's been that way for GAME for a long, long time. Gamestation used to be a lot better, but they've gone the same way now, unfortunately.

...why are you disappointed with Hugh Jackman? Don't make me get the "you funny kid" picture out, again! It's the hair, I think. If you called him Hugh Jackman in real life, I'm sure he would be thrilled.

I've got a fondness of the word Excellent, for some reason. I think it looks nice when written down, and it just sounds lovely to say. Also, it makes me think of Bill and Ted! Another one is Professional, where my Mum was ranting and raving a few months ago and called somebody a "Professional Bastard." I never laughed so much in my life. Gained so much more love for that word since that day. Hahahah.

My word. You are so hot when you talk football. Can we have an audio clip of you giving the commentary? The English AND The Dutch? Haha. Haha, good man. The laughter is a great reason to watch it, I find. I've got a man-crush on Kamara and Stelling. Andy Gray gets on my nerves. Sometimes he can be insightful. But sometimes he just loves to run his own mouth off. As Happenstance says, he's nowhere near as bad as the Channel 5 Commentators, though... Hehe, aye. Final Score is a bit weak, I find. I also don't like the "interface" or the ways things look on Final Score. Just seems a bit cheap. Kinda half-arsed. Soccer Saturday is brilliant, and I bluddy love it when one of the pundits shouts GOOOOOAL or PENALTY! or something. They make it really exciting, because most of them are proper football people. They love the game. Talking about commentators, I can't imagine a World Cup game without John Motson. Going to be very odd this year without him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Motson#Quotations There's a few of his quotes. For obvious reasons, my favourite moment has to be the commentry for the 1999 Champions League Final, with Clive Tyldesley and Ron Atkinson. So many legendary quotes from them. "And Solksjaer has won it!" I get shivers down my spine every single time I watch or even think about those final minutes. Also, this is great!

Oh yes, I know. Just wanted to let the driver of Chairs know. Hmm, I'm not sure which film I like more: The Terminator or Aliens. So very hard to choose one over the other. Don't forget he directed True Lies, as well. I really like that film, although it's different to the other films you've mentioned. True Lies is less serious. Just a fun action film. Heh, well now you know. He did a great job with Aliens, though. Took it in a different direction to Scott, but it was still great.
-
Ridley Scott did Alien. James Cameron only directed the second, Aliens. This has been tricky, but I'm going for: For the simple reason that he has left the band, in the year where I actually have the money available to see them. Been skint every single time they've gigged, or had no-one to go with. So very gutted. Probably will never get the chance to see them live, as a complete band.

Rate The Last TV Show You Saw (Spoiler Tags for Recent US Shows!)
Fierce_LiNk replied to Slaggis's topic in General Chit Chat
Haha, I watched it and had tears in my eyes at some parts. "How many bacon rolls are you wantings?!" Hahahah. One thing, though. I really didn't enjoy the Art Guy part of the show, and I thought the WMD show where he went to buy the doovde was a bit flat. The rest of the show, mainly the drive-through stuff, was gold. Loved it. Also: "What issss...your Mother's Maiden name, sir?"- 3920 replies

Haha, do you ever watch Gilette Soccer Saturday? If you want your Kamara Fix, look there!

I prefer albums to have this connection running throughout. A kind of feeling, something that ties it altogether. That's what stops an album being just a collection of songs, it's one complete package to me. I like that idea of "whole-ness." If you listen to the album, unfortunately the song does stick out. It's a great song, but it could have done to be on the other album. The Man Who Told Everything (the video is in my other post) and The Cedar Room were also pushed as singles from the album, and they were the first and third singles. Catch the Sun being the one in the middle, and definitely more accessible to a wider audience. You never know, it could have been a choice by the artist themselves. They didn't really achieve "greater popularity" until the first single (There Goes The Fear) off the second album (The Last Broadcast) was released anyway.
