  1. I agree with you there. It helps you deal with urgency. There's arguments both for and against time limits. I think I sit in the yes to a time limit camp, although perhaps they should make the time limit an hour or so longer. I remember sitting some Maths exams in the past thinking "shit shit shit, need to get to the end of the paper. Am I going to have enough time to check it through?! I don't know..." Maybe make the time limit longer, but at the same time make it optional for people to leave as and when they finish. I think most teenagers are capable of standing up quietly and leaving the room unassisted. But then, when you extend the time limit, what's the point if having one in the first place if there isn't any urgency? Haha. Yes, I have countered myself.
  2. Andy Cole was a beast. A bit of a journeyman, but I really liked him. The whole team of 99 were heroes, and sometimes I get a bit hard when I think of the attackers we had in that team. Doh, you're right, because that game dented their title chances. Dunno how I got that wrong, I must've been on something. Collymore got the winner, I remember now. Aye, you're right. The game against Liverpool was in April, and the one against United was in October. Both 1996. I'm not with it today.
  3. There is more than one reason for that, though. Lack of jobs out there being one of the reasons. The Primary system definitely has improved, in my opinion. It's also really fun to teach in it, and the kids just seem to enjoy learning. Sadly, it seems to turn to shit when they reach Secondary School. When people talk about the failure of the education system, they usually refer to Secondary Education. I just find it very impersonal. The kids have so many different teachers and so many things going on. There's this consistency in Primary which I think does them a world of good. I've recorded this as I was out, so I'm going to watch it tomorrow. I've caught little bits and bobs from the news and radio, but I want to see it in full.
  4. I did that when I bumped into Twozzock yeeeears ago. Haha. You know you've been using a computer too much when... ...you're deep in conversation with a friend outdoors, and you want to recall a certain piece of information. "I'm gonna google that!...oh wait..."
  5. They're pectorals! Edit: I mean mine are. Ine's are definitely beautiful normal womanly breasticles.
  6. Would this be N-Europe's first gay romance? After ReZ and Goafer, I mean.
  7. It's Dannyboy the Dane. Don't worry, we know what he looks like!
  8. Aww, but he thinks you're great. How could you say no to that face?

  10. Fuck yeah. Football's unpredictability is what makes it so compelling. When it boils down to it, it's 11 men versus 11. Anyone can beat anyone on their day. I remember that season. You thrashed us 5-0. Now that gave me nightmares, haha. Wasn't that the same season that featured the 4-3 win you had over Liverpool? I watched highlights of that game yesterday!
  11. It is weird. Very weird. Especially when I think about the end of last season. But then, equally as weird is how Arsenal have been right up there going for the title. It might just be out of their reach now, but they've been an outside bet for most of it. Considering that some thought they'd finish outside of the top four, I think they've done well. I was really worried about how we'd fare this season. We could have been in the position Liverpool are now. You just don't know in football. I remember immediately after Ruud left, my head was all over the place thinking sheeet, where are the goals gonna come from?! But, teams find a way to carry on fighting.
  12. I want you. ... And that Lion Cub. In veeeeery different ways.
  13. People fight. Humans always have done and humans always will. Plenty of whites and blacks (as you put it) still fight amongst themselves. Things have got better, as you say, but it still happens. People still fight over football teams (I'm looking at you, Millwall fans) and there's gang warfare. As Dannyboy said, humans will always put themselves into smaller communities. It's a bit unfair, in my opinion, to blame multiculturalism purely for these riots. Maybe we should look at why they're rioting in the first place. So, we force everyone to follow one ideal. What then? Yes, we should be proud of our country and we should be proud to live here, but that doesn't automatically mean people are going to start loving each other and that these riots will suddenly stop.
  14. The Bard is a big sissy who loves cute animals. Remember this? Remember This?!
  15. I quite enjoyed reading that. A good article. I know Newcastle fans get criticised as being "deluded or over-ambitious," but what is football if you can't dream? The Spurs-Arsenal game tonight was quite good, although I missed about the first 20 minutes of it as I was walking to the gym. Caught the rest of it whilst doing my cardio. I thought Spurs hustled Arsenal very well, pressured them at numerous times and prevented Arsenal from moving as freely as they'd like to. The defence and midfield seemed to spot Arsenal's passes that second quicker, and got in some good interceptions. I'm delighted to see Spurs win, because I don't want the City scum to get fourth. In fact, I'd rather Liverpool somehow got to fourth in place of City, if possible.
  16. I judge the films on the humour and story, and I guess how they make you feel. That's how I judged UP too, and probably why I think in a few years time I'll hold it up in the same regard as Toy Story. Just not sure if it's timeless, yet. The Incredibles would have better physics and animation, as it was made a decade later. But, where I think Toy Story is better is where it's vibrant, and how the Toys actually look and move like I'd expect the toys to move. Some of the characters move rigidly, but you'd expect that...as they're made out of plastic, heh. I thought the animation did well to fit the purpose. I watch the film and I see the characters as "real toys" rather than a computer animation. I just didn't like the way everything looked in The Incredibles. When I watch that, I somehow know that I'm watching an animation, rather than "toys who move when the owners are not looking." It feels very bland and empty, to me. I don't see the same warmth or vibrancy in the way the things look. I agree though that the human characters are not that great looking. They do move and look a bit awkward now. Especially Sid, hehe.
  17. I think I'll need a few more years and repeated viewings to decide if those two are better than Toy Story. The only one I think at the moment which is perhaps better is Monsters Inc. In about five years time, I reckon I could probably add Up to that list. Dug! Loveeeee.
  18. Hmm, it depends what you mean by "better"? Do you mean the stories are better, or that they're funnier? Or just that in general, when you put it all together, they're all better than Toy Story? I like The Incredibles, but it isn't even in the same league as Toy Story. I don't think there's a single department where the Incredibles has one over Toy Story. Toy Story has a better story, it's funnier, I think it looks better and the characters are better. Wall-E is quite similar to UP in that the first 20 minutes or half hour are really quite magical. It's a great piece of work. I do think that the film slightly loses a bit of magic when the humans are introduced, but it's still quality. They're all different films with different subject material. Finding Nemo was great when I first watched it, but I haven't seen it in a while so I can't say whether that's better than Toy Story. From what I remember, I really enjoyed it, but would still place Toy Story one level higher.
  19. Sorry for the late reply to this. It's not a very plot-orientated film, though. It's more about the character interaction than it is about plot. If you're watching the film expecting a car chase or the building to explode, then you're probably watching the wrong film. It's about two characters who are at almost opposite ends of their lives: One is an aging actor, and the other is a young woman who doesn't know what she wants to do with her life. There's a lot you can take from the film, such as that no matter where you are in the world, there will almost certainly be someone else close who is as lost as you are. I'm pleased with most of your reactions to those films. However, Big Trouble is hilarious, haha. In a supremely bad way, but it's still great fun. I really enjoyed UP. Yeah, the first 20 minutes are incredibly moving. I think it would've lost all impact had it kept up that sombre note for so long (there's only so much depression one person can take). I see the film as one old man's last adventure. A final hurrah. There was still plenty of sadness and emotions throughout, it's not like the film turned purely into a comedy. It's one of these films that does everything. It makes you laugh, cry, it moves you, it draws you in and it finds a way to lift you up. I feel the same way about Forrest Gump.
  20. What's wrong with making games for the fanboys? It's not like the whole world knows who Samus is. Give Wario the love he deserves.
  21. It's actually criminal that there hasn't been a Super Wario Bros. game or something by now. They're both more interesting and fun than Mario. Wario is a living comedy legend. A game solely with both of them could be quite hilarious.
  22. -Has Jayseven edited the last few posts? - Or is he assimilating us, Agent Smith style? - *looks at own post* Damn. - I've spent my day looking at application forms. - Been filling in said Application forms. - Watched Andy Murray suck at Tennis. - Wishes I could do better.
  23. Basically, increase police, double the number of troops, create new jobs. How do they plan to do this? It's just a classic case of "tell the public what they want to hear." Also, how do they intend to just have one United British Culture? Is that even a good idea? Multiculturalism isn't an entirely bad idea...the world is made up of so many people.
  24. The Conduits doesn't sound right. Just simply "Conduits" sounds better. Actually, yeah, I'd be chuffed with that. The Conduit 2 or Conduit 2, sounds a bit...laaaaame. I haven't played too much of the game. It's fun, decent, but it's very ordinary. But then, I'm not overly keen on shooters. Somebody mentioned about constantly being forced into Rocket matches in the online mode: I agree with that. Where's the fun is just playing Rockets all the time?! I've only played a handful of online games and 90% of the games were Rocket matches. People have no imagination these days. Also, no split screen in the original! At least give us the option, even if the majority will never use it. These little options could be the choice between somebody buying a game on the first day or leaving it full stop.
