  1. When I look for a handheld/home console, I'm looking for something that is different to the other. I don't buy a handheld because it's like the home console, I buy it because it can do things that the home console can't. For example, Pokèmon at the time. These days, Animal Crossing works a lot better on the handheld than the home console. Hotel Dusk is another one, for me. Sure, you might have some similar features and link-up in some way. Maybe the eShops are linked, maybe there's connectivity because MiiVerses on the home and handheld. Maybe you can trade between the two on the likes of Monster Hunter. But, it would be to the detriment of both if both were identical and the same.
  2. But the Wii U...handheld...separate screen. I want to be leaf.
  3. Just as long as you don't cut out those protons, brah. I'm excited by this. Question for those that have it: How many save file options are there? I figure that I'll play this during the day and Ine can play this after work, so that she won't get spoilers. Should be at least 2, right?
  4. Well done for saying that to your Dad. A very brave thing to do. Take care.
  5. But what about all the money they'd be losing from the people that usually buy both the handheld and the home console? Also, if the console was primarily a handheld, surely the "home console" type of games wouldn't be powerful enough to run on the system. Imagine it right now if you were trying to run something like Watch Dogs on the 3DS...surely you'd have that situation repeated over on the next situation, which would ultimately mean Nintendo would lose those 3rd party games anyway. Anyway, it seems like very wishful thinking to me. Some people obviously aren't happy with the Wii U and they want the system to bomb so that they (possibly) can have the Nintendo franchises they love on their PS4/5s or Xbones/whatever. Can't see it happening. As long as Nintendo can continue to turn a profit, they'll stay in the hardware business. They'll find a way. Their exclusives almost guarantee that they'll receive a certain amount of hardware sales anyway, hence why we see so much Mario. It's all the other stuff they need to improve, online infrastructure, securing 3rd party titles, using their other lesser known franchises, etc.
  6. The way I see it is that every time they spend screen-time introducing Batman or having him in a fight scene, that is time that is being taken away from developing another character in the film, a Brainiac or Lex Luthor. Hell, even further developing Superman/Clark Kent or his relationship with Lois. This is what I was looking forward to most in this particular series and it's gotten off to such a great start with Man of Steel.
  7. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed by this reveal. We've just had three earth shatteringly amazing Batman films and Man of Steel was also fantastic. I was looking forward to another few films dedicated to just the Superman universe. I'm not really bothered by all this cross-over stuff...in fact, it takes a little of the excitement away from it, for me. So, yes. Would rather Batman pisses off for a while because we've seen him enough recently. It's Superman's time and I'd like to see where he could go by himself in Man of Steel 2 or whatever they call it.
  8. Just posted in Bargains thread: Batman: Arkham City Wii U is going for £9.99 on The Game Collection. Brand new. If you input the code XBOX-YGJT-DQLE, you can get it for less. Somehow, it only cost me £8.99. An absolute bargain. In short, buy buy buy buy buy buy buy buyb buy buy buyb uyb u buy bu uyb ubuyb uby buy
  9. I've just got back from an excellent weekend in Manchester. Mogwai were performing the soundtrack to Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait, whilst the film was being played. It was just supremely awesome. I had no idea they were doing this until it popped up on my facebook feed...I was scrambling around the living room at the time like a lunatic so I could purchase the tickets. Music was sublime. It was set in the Albert Hall, basically an old church that has been converted to do live shows. It can fit around 2000 people, maybe less. Atmosphere was excellent. The music though...at times, so loud. The half-time segment was outstanding and probably some of the loudest music I've heard. We spent the rest of the weekend shopping at the Arndale Centre as it was pretty close to the hotel. Spent a lot of money...had excellent food at Gourmet Burger Kitchen about 5 minutes away. All in all, it was lovely.
  10. I made a demand myself and they came back and offered the game to me for £24.20, with a delivery date of somewhere between 24th-31st July. Purchased. Let's see how this works. I will be ecstatic if this works.
  11. @Aneres11: At the very least, at least you've made a good friend. Take that first of all, ask a few questions here and there (So, do you have a girlfriend? Live alone? stuff like that, just slip it in. Lawl)
  12. Yeah, it's knackering, especially in this heat. I'd prefer to do it in the very late evening. Can't imagine trying to do it in the afternoon with this weather. I've just got showered after squash. Really good match tonight that ended in a draw and I am so tired. One of those games where you could keel over at the end of it. So much sweat.
  13. Skipping is awesome. I've got a rope and do it at the front of my flat/in the garden area on the path. It's knackering work, though. Had Push Day and squash yesterday and Pull Day today. Squash in around 30 minutes. Am going to be pooped.
  14. It means we'll play the match first (on the Tuesday afternoon, for example) and the draw will then be done on Tuesday evening. So, that gives the people Tuesday night, all of Wednesday and all of Thursday to get their games organised and set up tactics. Should go much smoother this year than last.
  15. Ell has been gash all season. But, there's one game left. I'm rooting for him to destroy Eights 15-7 and you to do your bit. BELIEVE. I Want To Be Leaf.
  16. I wish I could laugh at this. Tearrrs. Benteke signs deal for Villa. He's not going anywhere now. Hmm, I was sure he'd end up at Spurs. In sad news, Bert Trautmann has died. Even though he played for City, I respected him a lot. I read a lot about him a few weeks ago, including the apprehension he faced when he signed for City after the war. He did well to overcome that and he helped build links between two nations. A remarkable story. Plus, there's THAT FA Cup Final which is folklore now.
  17. The Cup?... PEEP-SY SIGN ME UP SIGN ME SIGN ME SIGN ME UP
  18. What I love best about this game is that it doesn't make sense. Any of it. It looks like somebody created it whilst vomiting comic books and shitting LSD. And mixed it all together to make a cake.
  19. You are pure filth. A filth wizard. Friend only to the pig and the rat. It was just me checking. I was about 99% sure, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Hidden object games. Bwhahah. I love Mario. That run and jump game. Or Sonic. that run faster and jump higher game.
  20. That's what I mean, the roundabouts. You're going the wrong way! It just confuses me. Also, remembering that you'll be using km/h instead of miles.
  21. That feel when you can't tell if Magnus is being sarcastic or serious. :p Is this a genuine post? Hidden object games? Bwahah. I haaaate it when these outdoorsy people say that, "oh, you shouldn't waste your time being inside. You should be outdoors and enjoying yourself." Why can't I be indoors and enjoying myself?
  22. What date did you get for Pikmin 3? Ine's is saying that it gets released on the 23rd August and will be delivered a week later. A typo? We used the WowHD link. I'm trying a request/demand. Will see what happens.
  23. I was in work on Tuesday and was asked the following question by a work-friend: "So, what are you up to tonight after work?" "I'm going to go home and play a ton of games!" "Oh yay, I'm a massive gamer, too!" "I've just bought a Wii U and am playing quite a few other games at the moment on the Wii. (Think I mentioned the demo for Sonic racing, Nintendoland, a few others) "Oh, I don't know what any of that is." *I explain what the Wii U is, Sonic, how the other games work, etc* "Oh, ok." "...So, what are you playing tonight?" "I'm playing Socks." "...you're playing what?" "Socks." "...I don't know that game. How does it work?" "Oh, it's a facebook game where you have to match up socks on a washing line. I play it for hours. All evening in fact." "...I'm hungry." *eats a banana* Yes, a "massive gamer". :p
  24. This isn't going to disappear any time soon is it? It's not a limited release, I mean. I want it, but have too many other things to play. But yes, well played, Nintendo.
  25. This game is going to kick so much arse. Looking forward to it more than Pikmin. Pepper your anguses, people.
