Reading it back, I get it now. :p Yeah, the weights would be the last thing I would ditch. So, I agree with you.

Yes. @Shorty got the majority of it. But, for me, the worst part of it is that the script work is just dire. "Talk to the hand!" The handling of Arnie's Terminator in this film is terrible, too. He's not machine-like enough compared to the previous films and I also loathe the wooden female terminator's performance. There are parts of the film where it looks like she's made of plastic. Not imposing enough, either. Biggest disappointment in my life in terms of films. The first one is a perfect thriller and the second one is a great action film that contains some glorious special effects. A bit different in tone, but still very special. I can't tell you what the third is. At times, it borders on a parody. What exactly have you seen? It's not that hard at all...

Fantastic video! The more I see of this, the more excited about it I get. It looks wonderful, imo.

It does matter though in terms of his weight, which I imagine is the thing that he is addressing. He's not going to lose the belly on a bulk.

Ade has to go, but I'm not sure how much you'd get for him. A few million, but it won't be a considerable amount going into that transfer kitty. Unless you factor in his wages, which I imagine to be quite high... I expected this would happen. I wonder if the courts had a case for blocking his move to Juve, because this was something he was obliged to do. I also wonder if it would have been possible to order him to carry out the sentence in Italy instead. Transfer the sanction.

Keep eet up and they will come. Looool, a very good woman friend of mine hung out with me today and was moaning about the size of her legs. I told her they were fine, but gave her tips on how to tone up. "I don't want to do weights because I don't want to get big." Yes, you'll get accidentally big. Had to tell her that you'll only get big by lifting big and eating big. A moment of enlightenment. When in doubt, cut. I'm in the mindset that I'd like to enjoy the fruits of my labour. It would be nice to look at myself and not think, "shit son, you fat." So, I'm cutting. At least then you can clean bulk afterwards. I'd keep up the weights but look at the diet and continue with the running. I got ruined at squash tonight. Won the first game but then Ine came right into it and killed me. Her shot placement was very good, probably the best I've seen it and she was quicker than usual. Friday will be victory day. Tomorrow is leg day. Pray for me.

Dumb video game logic that makes you laugh
Fierce_LiNk replied to Dcubed's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Professor Oak memes are brilliant. - this one kills me. - loooooooool I've avoided Resident Evil like the plague for years now, but is this a genuine video. Does that actually happen in the game? If so, then... -
I had a friend who spent a bit of time in Peru and loved every second of it. Ine's sister has also been to Istanbul and had a great time. (I think I have that right) Thailand seems like another good shout. I'd probably look into that one. I might have missed it in your opening post, but what about New Zealand? Or Costa Rica?

You reckon Defoe's time at Spurs is up then? I think they need to look at doing something different up front. It's by far the weakest aspect of the team. Goalkeeper is great, defence is good and the midfield looks good, too. It's just about getting the goals now. Still, it looks like Liverpool are strengthening well and Chelsea look like they mean business. City have bought two good players in Fernandinho and Navas. The Top Four is going to be really tight next season. I'm nervous about how we're going to do.

Branching out...A Zelda Fighter and Racer (Ideas)
Fierce_LiNk replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I don't mind comments if they're about the topic in hand, but the stuff being brought into this thread was something else entirely. It's not relevant to this particular discussion. Like I said, it's akin to going into the football season thread and saying, "football is boring, let's talk about rugby." No. The topic is about football. This topic is about a Zelda fighter or a racer, or something along those lines. Branching that series out. Ideas. Dreams. It's linear. It's purely a fan-topic just for discussing ideas. Like I already said, I'm fine discussing ideas as long as they're about the topic. This is probably the only Nintendo thread on the whole forum where I hoped we could at least have some nice discussion, but alas, some people find a way in and make it about their own agenda: Their hatred for or disappointment with Nintendo. I don't really care any more now. It started off, like I keep saying, as a fan thread but it's quite clear that you can't have those types of threads around here. So, fuck it. I'm out. -
Branching out...A Zelda Fighter and Racer (Ideas)
Fierce_LiNk replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I'm annoyed by this because your posts don't really have a place in this discussion. I've already covered it, as has Rummy. The thread had one clear goal and you have come along and effectively removed the goalposts. I'm disappointed that all it took was about a dozen posts before this happened. It wasn't on topic. No way was it. If you can't see that, then I'm not sure what I can say to make you see it. I've already expressed my point above. It wasn't on topic. It was very off topic and a totally different discussion point altogether. Why? Tough, I'm calling you out on it because that's how it looks. -
Yeah, some of the machines put unnecessary stress on the joints. I think the shoulder press machine (it probably has a name, whatever it's called) is quite bad for this, and you're also limited by the range of motion. Not sure if machine pec flys are too clever either. I ended up skipping earlier and did some bicep training a few hours afterwards. Squash tomorrow, possibly leg day, but we'll see how that goes. My body is dead.

Branching out...A Zelda Fighter and Racer (Ideas)
Fierce_LiNk replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Gaming Discussion
No, sorry, I'm putting my foot down on this one. It's very clear from the very first post what this is about, it's about "ideas" to branch out Zelda to other genres. This isn't saying something about what Nintendo SHOULD do, or about strategies or whatnot, this is about ideas from a Nintendo fan about the possibility of a Zelda fighter. It's in the title. This isn't about people expressing an opinion I don't like. Ville explained his view earlier about too many characters with swords, which I then rebuffed with my own point. What pisses me off is people then entering this thread and discussing things that don't belong here. This is a topic about ideas for a ZELDA FIGHTER. The clue is in the fucking title. How does this: "Ascribing existing Nintendo faces to spin off series ad infinitum is what Nintendo already does best. Constant rehashes and stale ideas are why I've mostly lost interest in Nintendo games, bar a couple. " and this " I'd rather have new IPs devoted entirely to such efforts instead of more milking of the same tired franchises." help? It doesn't. This topic is so utterly very clear and specific about one thing: branching out Zelda into other genres. What you're discussing and bringing into this thread are your own issues and feelings which don't really have a place on this current discussion. It's like going into the football thread waving a banner singing "nah nah nah, I hate football, I prefer rugby." It's along the same lines and it comes across that way. It's very sad that fans just aren't allowed to dream anymore and talk about ideas that they themselves find interesting without others having to interfere and make shitty comments. Sorry @Sheikah, but it is a shitty comment and you knew full well what you're doing. I respect that you may not like Nintendo anymore, but I bluddy do. -
I have memories of my younger brother completely destroying me at this game. He was insane at this. A messiah. He just picked it up one day and knew exactly what he was doing. Couldn't have been older than 6. Probably younger. I spent much of my childhood in awe, just watching him go through this again and again. Some people just take to things very easily and get the hang of it. Many don't have a clue and need to have their hands held through every step.

Branching out...A Zelda Fighter and Racer (Ideas)
Fierce_LiNk replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Fucking hell. Yes, it would be lovely if Nintendo made a New IP in the fighting genre. Provided that it was interesting, I'd be first in line. However, the problem with that particular idea is that it leaves us very, very little scope for discussion on this forum because it could literally be anything. You wouldn't have a clue where to begin with even identifying characters or stages because it would be made from scratch. This is my thread and I made it because I think it would be pretty fucking sweet to have a Zelda fighting game because we already have a starting point. We have got plenty of characters that have had very little exposure (many of them will never ever appear in another game) and we have got umpteen stages to choose from, due to the vast number of locations in the series. So, on that basis, and considering the nature of the series and the characters, I reckon a fighter could work. We're not bluddy talking about a new IP. If you want to discuss that, then do it in another thread. Make your own, stop interfering with mine and hijacking it for your own agenda. Cheers. -
Brah, I'll send you a PM with some suggestions.

Sorry to hear about your family woes, @Ashley. Families can be such dicks. I've got a few aunties that I rarely speak to because of the shit that they pull. I feel sorry for your cousin. Does she plan on moving far away then when uni comes?

Branching out...A Zelda Fighter and Racer (Ideas)

You're not thinking broad enough. Volvagia. There's a lot they could do with this character. It could have an ability to fly on screen (obviously not too high, but maybe a special attack when it flies from the sky towards the player on the ground). Breathes fire. Strong. Fyrus. CHAINS. Could be used as weapons. Maybe you could even grab the chains in battle and swing him? He even has the ability to create fire from the ground. He would be an excellent character, imo. Agahnim. A sorcerer. So, use of magic, maybe he can make characters levitate or levitate himself. Create energy balls, fire those. Hand to hand combat too with a staff, possibly. Stallord. Hand to hand combat. Have him coming out of the ground like he does in the game. He has no lower body. Maybe as he loses his health, only his head remains and he attacks with that? Bites and nibbles. Potential to be a fucking great character. Moldarach. I shouldn't have to explain this one. Use the pincers as an attack, for grabbing, for shielding. I imagine his defence would be quite high. Maybe as a special move he can decapitate? Depends how dark you want the game to be. Scaldera. He could roll into a ball as an attack. Create fire, throw bombs, maybe even a self destruct attack? Koloktos. He has multiple weapons. This would be spectacular. He would appear larger than other characters, but maybe his size could also differ depending on if its special attack? Helmaroc King - Flies, uses wind attacks, uses its wings to strike enemies, claws for grabbing, it could carry enemies into the sky and slam them towards the ground. That's not even counting the obvious ones like Ganondorf, who could use a sword or he could just be hand to hand, or even a sorcerer like Agahnim. Zant? Who could use small knives? What about Twinrova? They could have half the energy of others, but you can switch them mid-battle. One has fire magic and one has ice. They could merge together as a special attack. The scope there is MASSIVE because the series is vast and it covers a lot of ground. There's so many characters to choose from. We didn't even discuss the Gorons, Orcs, Zoras, Kokiris, or other types. Darknuts? Trimming it down would be the issue. There is more than enough variation. -
Harry Potter is shit though, so it's fine to dislike that. (trolololo) Sounds like you like your instrumental stuff. I'm in love with Mogwai, and the majority of their stuff is instrumental. It varies too, some parts of it are so easy to listen to, and other songs get the blood pumping. I really, really recommend you give them a shot. If anything, some of their stuff makes excellent background music. They're not that widely known about, so you can get away with being cool and big them up, and others won't have a clue what you're on about. Another one: Explosions in the Sky. Possibly Sigur Ros, too. Oh my. Musical erection right now.

I played the first and have never played the second. I can't imagine it being as fun though without the time limit. It gave urgency to the game. I remember sweating like a pig when I was approaching the end of the game and was behind schedule. Somehow, I seemed to pick up a few vital pieces right on the home stretch and my ship managed to take off. I was nervous as hell that we weren't going to make it. Sublime game. I'm all for the time limit. Bring it back, Nintendo.
-
I echo Retro's sentiments. Famitsu don't seem to be as stringent as they once were. Too many high scores for questionable games. I'm sure this will kick arse, though. Can't wait to play eet.

All the contract does is ensure that the club gets a hefty fee for the player. So, if he does go, Villa will get at least 20 million for him, imo. I agree, though. Contracts don't mean an awful lot these days. Aside from a few players at Barca, virtually anybody is available to be bought. I reckon Spurs will go for him. They would be mad not to. Premiership proven and they need a striker or two of their own.
