I can't imagine anything worse. Having a beautiful game with lots of attention to detail that you can't see because you're playing it on a small screen. I wouldn't even consider playing a game like Xenoblade on such a poverty screen. That game was designed for a big screen experience.

The players are quite decent (good in some areas) but LVG is making a mess out of the whole thing. Too many players in the wrong positions. He's sabotaged our forward line. Spurs should really win this. 2 points dropped if they don't.
-
Ashley Young has come on for United. He's playing up front with Martial up wide. THIS kind of shit is why LVG has to go.

Can't stand the fucker.

If Nintendo charge to play online with the NX, would you pay?
Fierce_LiNk replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I've been using PSNow thanks to Hero's recommendation. It's a veeeeeeery interesting concept. It's the Netflix of games. Instead of going out to buy an individual DVD, you stream the film. Same principle here. Instead of going out to buy The Last of Us, you stream the game. It's actually been really good so far and I can't believe it even works at all. I've played Ico and Tokyo Jungle through the service. I'm playing Sonic Generations and Darksiders at the moment. It's all been excellent. I think society might be moving towards streaming rather than purchasing. Previously, I used to buy CDs and Dvds. These days, I don't. I abuse Spotify, use Netflix daily and now use PSNow quite a lot. I think the idea of being able to stream a SNES game like A Link to the Past is appealing, tbh. I'd pay a subscription and have an access to a large pool of games rather than downloading the game onto one system. I downloaded Golden Axe from the Wii's VC and I only touched it a handful of times. It doesn't really bother me at all not physically owning the game. When downloading games, I never really feel like I own the game anyway. Downloading DriveClub and streaming Mortal Kombat X, I don't really feel that there's a tangible difference. -

In its current set-up, the answer would be "no fucking way!" The problem for me is that I wouldn't say it was excellent value for money. The online systems are a bit of a pain, tbh. Plus, there's still the uncertainty of certain games being online these days. Nintendoland and 3D World not being online is an example. So, I wouldn't pay just to play Smash Bros and Mario Kart online, because that's really the majority of what it would be. If there were major improvements, then I'd be more inclined to do so. It's worth it on the other systems because there are far more online games (I've spent a ridiculous amount of time on Rocket League and Battlefront) and it's just generally easier to get online, interact with your friends and get games up and running. It's easier to stream your footage, to record your videos, uploading them to facebook or youtube or whatever, no matter what game you're playing. The problem I have with Nintendo is that aside from Mario Kart and Smash, there's always a question mark around certain features. Things need to be embedded in the OS rather than just being game-to-game. I feel that I'm getting good value for money with PS+. I download and play the games, I go online regularly, I chat to people on there and I upload my saves to the cloud. Nintendo's online would also need to represent good value for money for me to pay for it. -
Nooooo. It takes daysssss to even muster up the courage/energy to write them. Takes even longer to fucking write them all fresh without resorting to copy/pasta (I don't cheat). Plus, we get the annual fuck-up which means half of the ones I need to write don't end up on the system straight away, so you end up having to send emails back and forth to add children's names to the systems (since you can't do it yourself) and having to add extra subjects that were forgotten. Seriously, it's my least favourite part of teaching. Teaching is pretty fun. Parent's evenings are usually fine. Trips are draining, but they're still fun. Marking is ok because you can get into a routine. Report writing is just repetitive. It's the equivalent of grinding in an RPG, except without a boss to take down at the end of it or an enemy to slaughter.

We've got no problems on our end. @Eenuh is playing Battlefront whilst I slave away writing school reports. Am cry. Evrytiem.

If there's some huuuuge advantage to having the game on NX instead of WiiU, I'm going to be so pissed off. Usually that's the one thing about Nintendo, you're guaranteed a Zelda game. You may not get Metroid (no fucking Metroid on WiiU is just uererhfuregheuifherhfeuhhef) or F Zero, but you'll get Zelda. I'm not counting Wind Waker or Twilight Princess because...just no. I guess it depends on what you want from gaming. For me, gaming is forward-thinking and when I played The Witcher 3, one of my first reactions afterwards was, "how is this going to change gaming for the future?" To me, it's a progressive industry. That's why we constantly have new hardware and new tech. It's about pushing boundaries and being able to do things that you couldn't do in the past. That's one of my incentives to game. I do understand how everyone is different though and I do see the merits in BC. For me, the whole purchase of a new console will never, ever hinge on the promise of BC. -

I get some of what you're saying (particularly the last bit) but I'd never consider it a deal breaker. In some situations (like @nekunando said), you'd have to keep your old consoles to play certain games. We're never going to get an updated Perfect Dark or Goldeneye on a Nintendo machine or a VC version. Imo, it makes more sense for time and resources to be spent on new games and experiences. That's predominantly what I look for when I buy a new console. Sure, playing Ocarina of Time again is fun, but surely the majority of gamers want the next Ocarina. The next game to be considered the greatest of all time. I didn't buy a WiiU to play The Wind Waker again, for example. I bought it for the next Zelda. -
I'm determined to get to the end of the game. :p For some reason, I was really short-tempered/pissed off yesterday afternoon. Think I didn't enjoy the game as much because of this. That Tiamat boss fight pushed me over the edge, haha. It's quite a fiddly fight and I've gone off boss fights in general. I thought the gun-fight that takes place not too long afterwards when you go looking for the Black Hammer was a bit too long for my liking. I thought I'd cleared the section and then there just seemed to be like another 10 minutes more, when I really just wanted to get back to the puzzle bits. The actual puzzles and combat in this game are really fun, though.

Speaking of houses, we went for our first viewing today. £250,000 asking price at least and it needed a fuuuuuuck load of work doing to it. About 30 grand worth of work. At least. The bathroom was a mess, the garden was just....wut. I have no idea what the previous owners were trying to do there, but it didn't look nice. Gardening, not even once. It's simultaneously the most exciting but also blaaaarugh thing ever. The prices are just insane. Also, the whole process. If only buying a house were just as easy as buying a car. Or chocolate.

Why? Unless you trade in your systems, they're not going anywhere. I've still got all of mine and it's quite nice being able to experience the games as they were meant to be experienced on their respective systems with the controllers. I agree with what others have said previously. If it doesn't harm the creation of the new system, then it's a good bonus to have. But, the system should in no way be built around being capable of playing all of the old stuff. Sometimes you need to look forwards rather than backwards. -
Bournemouth look to be safe now. 41 points with 5 games to go is fantastic, really happy for the club. Hope United turn up tomorrow against Spurs. I'm expecting a draw. 1-1.
-
Fuuuuuuck! Supermoon is fantastic. Ah fuck it, I'm just gonna put a preorder in and cry to Jesus if the game doesn't live up.
-
I sure am. By the way, Ico is amaaaaaaaazing. I had a fantastic time recently playing it through for the first time. I bet I would've rated it even higher had I grown up with it. I didn't really give the Sony consoles much thought in the past due to being a rabid Nintendo fan(boooy). It's nice being able to go back and enjoy the stuff I missed out on.

I don't know if this stuff is well known or not, but I'm recommending it anyway. Goran Gora and the Yrs - Glow We have a playlist on Spotify that is entitled A-Z. Each band or artist has to start with A, then B, etc. About the fifth time around I was struggling with a G and found this artist who I really, really like. He's Latvian and I guess it's considered Europop. But, it's catchy and there's just something charming about it. MaybeSheWill - Red Paper Latterns This song only has 59,000 views, which is absolutely criminal. It's one of my favourite songs of the past few five years. I think it's beautiful and it's the sort of music that I want to make myself. I love it. They're a reeeeally good band. If These Trees Could Talk - They Speak With Knives Another post-rock type of band. The album in question is Red Forest, which I really rate. I like the theme of the band and the titles of their tracks, but this one is especially a knock-out. It's really well put together. Final one... Ólafur Arnalds - Þú Ert Jörðin Hnnnnnngggggggggggg. I think this might be a bit more well known, or at least I hope so. Hnnnnngngg

Lost it at the music.
-
True. Although, I've never actually returned a game and I've only ever traded one in. It would have to be an absolute disaster for that to happen. Fucks sake, I wish it were June already.

VR Porn will be incredible with that thing.

Maybe they should just hire good actors? It needs to be in English for us to be able to understand it. Having it in Hylian wouldn't really solve anything as we still wouldn't be able to connect with the characters and would have to rely on the text. -
It's called post rock, phaggot. I'm excited for the soundtrack to this game. Hope it makes it's way onto Spotify. I'm thiiiiis fucking close to preordering that limited edition with the art book from GAME. Is there any reason not to? I'm secretly terrified that this game will not deliver.

V-v-voice acting? What the- Nintendo got the memo! -
Ya, I don't really know why I stopped doing them. They're really satisfying. I do dips as well. Aside from bench and overhead pressing, they're the GOAT for triceps.
