That's perfect. I thought that the Saints/Liverpool game would be good but I didn't think it would be THAT good. What a comeback! We've got loads of Southampton fans at our school due to its proximity, so they'll be buzzing tomorrow.

I treat games like I treat films and music. You can have both the old stuff and the new.

Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
Fierce_LiNk replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Fuark, I miss Father Ted. One of my favourite ever programs. This bit always slayed me: Dat scream. -
I get cravings every now and again for WWF No Mercy. When we eventually get our house, I'm going to hook up the N64 to a telly permanently so I can get my N64 fix. I thought there was meant to be some version of No Mercy coming to the Wii years ago? What happened to that?! Disappointed to say the least!

Gah...I hope we get a date for it soon!

We had a reeeeeeally great game of Supremacy yesterday on the original Endor map. @Eenuh and I were trying so hard to get that middle capture point and kept getting killed over and over again whilst we were half-way through securing it. With 30 seconds to go, our team makes a go of it. Pretty much all got killed. So, we made another dash and kept going and going. 10 seconds left, we make another dash. I think Ine puts up a squad shield and I can see the clock ticking down. We made it with ONE SECOND left on the clock. As the clock adds on another extra minute, it gave us time to go for the next one. So we managed to secure the next one and even made a go at the final capture point. Snatched defeat from the jaws of death, phenomenal game. Had a few amazing matches on the new Twilight on Hoth map. Our team were like a plague of locusts. We just swarmed the middle point, then the next one and had them camped on the final point for the majority of the game. We played badly on Friday night but were awesome yesterday if I do say so myself. I really like the new Endor and Hoth maps. The Survivors of Endor map is reeeeeally beautiful, whilst I love the layout of the Twilight map. It's put some new life into the game for me. Can't wait for more maps and other stuff!

Watch it, dude. I think you'll like it. I want more of that sort of stuff, so will definitely be on the lookout for more films like this. Not sure that many people have seen The Science of Sleep. I'm sure I saw it in the cinema when it first came out and I loved it instantly. Definitely recommend it if you're a fan of Eternal Sunshine.

I've seen the trailer for that a few times and it does look like it's quite good, but I can't decide whether it's worth paying to see in the cinema or if it's better to wait a while and watch it later. The cast seems great!

I can't tell if the game suddenly got much harder or if I became shit after not playing for a while, but I died a loooooot of times in the DLC. Still absolutely loved it. My most anticipated thing of anything this year is Blood and Wine. I'm checking the net every day for any news of a release, some rumours pointing to April. God, just give it to me already.

That was the best I've ever seen Sakho play. We could have driven a fucking bus and it wouldn't have got past him. Overall, I think Liverpool are in a much better position for the future than we are. As soon as Klopp gets a proper transfer window where he can bring in the players he wants (he's had time to assess the squad now), we'll see a new Liverpool that is created in his own image. Really wish we had Klopp as our manager!

Kotaku closelined by Hulk Hogan?
Fierce_LiNk replied to Agent Gibbs's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I really can't fucking stand Kotaku and Hulk Hogan was a childhood hero, so there's only one winner here. WATCHA GONNA DO, KOTAKU? -
My all-time favourite has to be Alien. Fantastic pacing, amazing tension and just a fantastic thriller. I've seen it millions of time, but my favourite ever viewing has to be the time I saw the Director's Cut for the first time when it was shown for Hallowe'en many years back. Must be over 10 years ago! After that... E.T. A film that was an important part of my childhood that I still HAVE to stop and watch if it's on telly, even though I already own it on DVD. Amazing film with such a beautiful and uplifting soundtrack. The ending still gets me every time. The Lion King I'd still say that it's my favourite Disney film and seeing the musical was perhaps even better! Rocky A good shout for my favourite film series that just continues to deliver. Creed was also fantastic, but the original will always be my favourite, closely followed by 2. Although 4 has possibly the greatest soundtrack of all time in terms of cheese. Interstellar Wasn't sure what to think of it the first time around, but I adored it after the second viewing. There's a lot to love about this film and although it may not be for everyone, it ticks all the right boxes for what I look for in a film. Mr Nobody This has to be in there just for the ideas behind it. When I was younger, I wanted to write a book where a person reached a crossroads in their life and there were several different "universes" that all resulted from that one decision. This film does that, it's what I wanted to make, but somebody else did it and did it better than I ever could. I've got a huge man crush on Jared Leto, too. Goundhog Day Bill Murray at his best. I love the premise of this film, I love its execution and I love its ending. I've seen it over a billion times, lawl. It's another film from my childhood, but one that I think fondly of and can still watch over and over. The Entire Dark Knight Trilogy I actually disliked The Dark Knight when I initially saw it. I didn't really understand the praise behind it, so I saw it a second and third time and it quickly became one of my favourite films. The entire trilogy is superb, imo. It's redefined what we think of when we talk about super hero/comic book films. They're great thrillers or action films in their own right. The second is an excellent crime drama that just so happens to feature a vigilante. It's a template for other films and tv to use and it has to be the most important film of its kind. Stand By Me It's my favourite type of Sunday afternoon film. I've seen it so many times that I feel as if I know these characters for real, all of them. The ending still manages to choke me up or makes me stop and think every single time I watch it. The real travesty is that River Phoenix's life and career was cut so short, especially after such promise was shown in this gem. Lost in Translation Beautifully filmed and with some superb choices for the soundtrack. I remember when my mind was blown upon hearing The Jesus and Mary Chain for the very first time. Just Like Honey has become one of my favourite all time songs and it was used to utter perfection in this film. But, the acting in this is awesome, as well as the way the dilemmas are pitched with regards to each character. When I watched this film, I guess that I was also at a crossroads in my life due to me being at uni and not really sure what I wanted for the future. About a year later, I met Ine. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind This film is just too fucking good. Not sure there's much more that needs to be said. Alongside that, The Science of Sleep by the same director is also fantastic! I've put a lot there, but there are so many films here that I consider very important to me, so I thought I'd throw them out there.

This was one of my favourite games when I was growing up. I fucking loved the Disney theme and the music. Played this over and over again because I loved it so much. Why did I have to grow up?!
-
I'm really looking forward to this. Tickets have been booked and I'll be seeing this at least twice with different people. Can't fucking wait. This incarnation of Lex Luthor will be different, but I think he'll fit in well in this universe. We'll soon see! Ahhhhhhhhh!

My last post in here was in August 2014 and we've not really seen anything since then. It looked fantastic back then, but who knows what's gone on since then. It's disappointing, but not every game or film or whatever will live up to expectations. It may still come out on PS4 and be great, who knows. If it doesn't, then it'll be a shame.

Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
Fierce_LiNk replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
There's no way that this is the real controller. It's a fake. It looks impractical to use and I...don't even know where to begin with it. Can't say that I'm thrilled with it if it does turn out to be the real deal. -
I honestly can't wait for Van Gaal to go. We played ok in the first half, but conceded a goal before half time and now need three to win the match and the tie. So, we obviously need goals. What does he do? He uses all three subs replacing the full backs and our defensive midfielder. He's useless at substitutions and his subs never actually improve the performance of the team. We're always worse after his subs. That's a terrible sign! It's never a good sign when you look at the opposition team and manager and wish that you could swap all of or most of their squad for your own. We were outplayed by Liverpool over two ties and they were taking the piss a bit towards the end. We've gone backwards this season, big time. Van Gaal's sole job was to steady the ship and get us competiting again. We need to rebuild, again. In the vast majority of games this season, we've not been the better team.

I'm playing through Tokyo Jungle on PS Now and I'm having a fantastic time with it. It's just fun. Some may say repetitive, but I like it a lot. Looking forward to putting more time into it. Think I'm 5 chapters into the story mode, of which there are 14.

Managed to watch the second half and didn't even see a shot on target. Nothing new there, then. Liverpool will get better under Klopp. We've gone as far as we can with Van Gaal. David De Gea is the only reason we're not losing games by a bigger margin. Should've lost 4 or 5-0 tonight.
-
It's an absolute fucking joke. I've missed the entire second half so far and have had no luck trying to get a stream to work. One browser kept reloading the same pop-ups over and over again, it's really fucking annoying. It shouldn't be this much of a hassle just to watch a game of football. I'm not buying BT and/or Sky Sports because it's fucking expensive and now just the principle of it. What are we expected to do now? BBC Radio 5 Live? Getting really frustrated now trying to get a link to work. I really wish I had just filmed the last hour half because it was just ridiculous.

I've had a reeeeally long fucking day at work which saw me leaving the house (flat, because we're poor as fuck) and was looking forward to coming home and at least watching the United game on the telly. I'm really fucking pissed off. Why is this game not being televised? Ok...so which games ARE televised these days? There's no Champions League, no Premier League, no League Cup as far as I know and very few FA Cup games. So, what then? It's a fucking sham. I'm now sat here trying to watch a live feed of the game, playing the "close the fucking pop-ups" mini-game to just see a shitty stream, which has now stopped broadcasting, meaning that I can't even watch the second half. To make it worse, the first half was just another shit Van Gaal performance. Can't afford to go to the games, can't afford to get the multitude of tv packages needed to watch all that games that you want in order to support your team and can't see the matches on terrestrial. This sport and the way it's broadcasted fucking sucks.

Spoilers for any of you guys using tapatalk! Here I go...

I made myself a nice hot cuppa tea and watched this. I've got to admit...my hype levels are now rising again. Jesus, I just want this game now. It's been torture waiting for this. I just want to have it in my hands and to play the fuck out of it. It's going to be my summer game. Unless they delay it. In which case, I may actually lose it.

About Battlefront: Of course the game wouldn't be the same without the Star Wars licence. That's the whole fucking point of it. I bought the game to shoot the shit out of tie-fighters and to run around a battlefield as Darth Vader. It's the same with everything else out there. Oh, The Walking Dead wouldn't as great without the zombies...of course it wouldn't, because it wouldn't be the thing that you love right now. It doesn't excuse that many of us still think that Star Fox looks like dogshit even with the Star Fox licence. I really hope that Nintendo turn it around because I've been waiting for a great Star Fox game for far too long now. Has this really not got a multiplayer of any kind then? I don't mean co-op, I mean actual multiplayer. I want to be able to go online and shoot the crap out of Pigma Dengar and the rest of Star Wolf.

So, Mata gets sent off after 25 minutes and we lose away to West Brom 1-0. Just magical. Stupid sending off. For all of their money, athleticism and success, footballers can't half be thick as pig shit sometimes. No idea what he was playing at and he left us right up against it. Who the fuck gets themselves sent off so early into a game? No complaints about the result. It was a dull game and we were second best. We'll finish 7th or 8th, which is where we should be, imo.
