Cheeeers, brah! Yeeeehehehe [/Nien Nunb] We've given this a try this afternoon. We figured that we'd jump in balls deep and try out Battlefront to see how that went. For our first effort, we tried this in the living room, so very close to our hub and PS4. The first effort saw us trying the game on low quality and it ran very well. It all connected up and we didn't really have any issues to speak of. The second effort saw us upping the quality to standard and we gave DriveClub a go. Game looked fantastic and played very well with no issues. The third attempt saw us trying DriveClub in the bedroom with low quality. Unfortunately, this is where we started to see more lag and the game became unplayable. I wonder if a signal booster would improve things? Overall, it's amazing that this even works at all. One potential usage for us is when Ine/we go to Belgium. We could still have access to our games, which would be great for the evenings after we've done all of our socialising and want to chill out. Could also be useful for Wales when I go to visit my family, too. Kinda want to test it out over a greater distance to see how it all works...

I recently played through Arkham Asylum and decided to carry on with the series and look at Batman: Arkham City next. I originally played this through on the WiiU. My console isn't connected up and I wanted to go for consistency as I'd be playing the rest of the series on PS4 (with PSNow to play through Asylum and Origins), so I did the same with this one. The first thing I realised is that...I didn't miss the WiiU version one bit. Can't even remember what I used the screen for, a map I think? I think it makes sense to play the games through on one console. After playing Asylum, it was really easy control-wise to jump into the next one. This game is excellent and I had another fantastic time playing through it again. I think the game makes an excellent jump from being in a closed, confined area to an open world that you can traverse through gliding and grappling. It looks fantastic, too. A large part of me wishes that I had saved myself from playing this game first time around, just so I can experience everything here and get all the trophies, etc. I did the majority of what this game had to offer on the WiiU and I've not really got the energy to go through it all again and experience all of the little story arcs, especially collecting the majority of those Riddler trophies! It's a fantastic game though and I love how this game is put together. I love both Asylum and City equally. They're both sublime games in their own right. City does refine things with its combat system and it's just so fucking satisfying to beat the shit out of things. The variation in enemies is great and it does keep you thinking. Now I'm not sure what to do. Part of me wants to jump into Arkham Origins next as I've never played it before. The other part of me wants to try Bioshock for the very first time and play through that series. Maybe Bioshock - Arkham Origins - Bioshock 2 - Arkham Knight - Bioshock Infinite? Games of 2016 Flower - Finished Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Finished The Unfinished Swan - Finished Grim Fandango Remastered - Finished Race The Sun - Finished The Wolf Among Us - Finished Injustice: Gods Among Us - Story Finished The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Ico - Finished Tokyo Jungle - Finished Grand Theft Auto 5 - Finished! Batman: Arkham Asylum - Finished Batman: Arkham City - Finished

I'm saying that modern controllers are different to what we had in the N64 era, so it would never control exactly the same as StarFox64 anyway by default. (e.g. due to controller evolution, we now have dual analogue as standard. So, even if you wanted it to control the same as StarFox64, it really, really wouldn't) Having different vehicles and levels/level design does open up the game more and that's what I'm saying Nintendo should be spending the majority of their time focusing on, rather than how we actually interact with the Arwing on an input level. When this game does come out, you want to be having a great time playing the game rather than fighting with the controller to access the game.

An instrumental of Heart of Gold? Are you fucking kidding me? This is the best news I've heard all year. I'm not even going to ask why because that's just amazing. I used to listen to that song all the time as a kid and it was one of my favourite Neil Young tracks growing up, along with Hey Hey, My My. :D

It wouldn't control exactly the same because now we are living in an age of analogue shoulder triggers, dual analogue sticks, more buttons on a controller, etc. All of these things would have an impact on how we play the game, camera control for one thing. If you were going to do a Starfox 64 sequel, all of these would vastly improve on the basics. Plus, the control scheme is just how you control the character/arwing. The "what you're actually doing/experiencing" is what differs game to game. I've played Arkham Asylum earlier in the week and am now playing Arkham City. The combat is similar, although City is more refined and now you are given a much wider space to navigate through (the City) and more side missions than you had before which makes use of that space. So, it may control exactly like Asylum, but the gameplay, what you do and experience on screen and what the overall effect is changes. People are excited for No Man's Sky not because of how you control the game, but because of the nature of what you are playing and doing. It's times like this where I think maybe Nintendo have missed the point completely about why we game. Making the initial input (the controller) more complex isn't necessarily going to make the game itself better.

We've only just discovered how fucking awesome Nien Nunb is. @Eenuh was playing Hero Hunt earlier and just worked out that he is absolutely perfect for that mode. I think she hid in one spot and put bombs and turrets around the entrances and walked away with victory. Whoever put his laugh as one of the emotes is both a hero and a sadist. We both lost it when she killed about half a dozen people with a turret and hit the laugh emote straight away. Yeeehehehe

What do you bitches know about remote play coming to Mac? Will I finally be able to wake up on Saturday morning, make a cuppa tea and play something like Battlefront or The Witcher 3 Greatest Game of All Time's DLC (when it's out) in bed on Ine's macbook? What will I need? Just the PS4 pad, riiight?

I'm tempted to see what I think of the game after playing through all of the Uncharted games not too long ago. I did love this. It was my first real PS4 game and it blew me away. I hope we get some real information about Rise coming out to PS4 soon because I'm going to play the shit out of that.

It displays supernatural powers as you struggle to flush it.

Cool! Friend notifications! *will be turning them off as soon as the download and install finishes*

I've been plugging away but think I'll be doing a deload this week as I'm starting to fatigue a little. Haven't enjoyed the last few sessions.

Brruuuuh. What if you fancy playing one of the games later down the line? If you don't want to download it, go to the PSstore and add it to your basket and purchase it, so at least it's tied into your account. I've got them all added since I joined, purely for that "just in case" factor.

But wut bout da folderz?

I'm not usually a fan of Eisenberg, but I loved what he did here. He made the Lex character his own.

Fuaaaaaark at those gifs. One month away! I hope it delivers.

"Might" get? Don't you download/add to your library all of the PS+ games that come up?

That's a very good appointment. Think he'll do a good job there. I wouldn't have been disappointed at all had United gone for him.

The demo was a demonstration of what the world looks and sounds like. So, a demonstration of the weather system, the day/night system, the way you do combat and how the game will look graphically. I actually prefer this rather than having an actual chapter just lifted from the game, which will just spoil parts of the game later.

I've got to admit, @RedShell's post was also the bit that tipped me over the fence into the "no" side. I was initially veeeeeery excited for the game, but the more and more info that came out, the more my excitement dwindled. The grinding in Xenoblade was annoying and the sidequests pissed me off at times due to their randomness. I once posted on here about searching for two hours for one item that just wouldn't appear...that's not fun. I'll probably pick it up at some point, but I'm not super-pumped to play it. Thinking back, the characters, setting and music made Xenoblade Chronicles amazing for me and the same voices that said this was amazing in the Wii game were also saying it was notably not as great in X. The fact that it is STILL full price almost a year after release takes the piss too, imo. Also, The Witcher 3 has kinda destroyed any hype I had to play this. @Blade will know what I mean.

That sucks, brah. Did you do that typical awkward English thing and say, "yeah, that's great thanks, byeee" and run the fuck out of there home crying? If it's any consolation, it looks pretty good/neat. Not as long as you wanted, which sucks, but it looks decent. At least he didn't take the whole lot off, which would've been fucking insane.

I just did a speed test @Hero\-of\-Time mentioned, which got me into this in the first place and I've kept it since. If you check the PSstore, it should be on there.
