It was funny. Even funnier when I realised Noble was on the pitch at all. His invisibility cloak is really quite something. We're playing well. Quite dirty, too. I've missed a performance like this.

I thought we didn't trust Famitsu anymore? They gave Devil's Third 33/40.

OH my Goooood. Tell me more. Did they do it similar to the set list we saw? Did they play any Interstellar tunes? Hnnnnnng, so jealous. Can't wait to go.

The Last Guardian re-reveal, Final Fantasy 7 remake and Shenmue 3 is alive stuff. It was an amazing conference.

Oh my gooooood, this looks amazing. Shit fuck, I really shouldn't be buying any games right now...

We were doing some work in the garden at my Dad's house because it was an absolute mess. It wasn't so long after the GameCube was released and I was playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 on my break (fucking amazing game!) and casually browsing the internet as we had only recently been introduced to it at the time. I remember being huuuuuuuuuge on Zelda and had recently just finished Majora's Mask. That and Ocarina basically killed me. I fucking died after Ocarina and re-died after Majora and just couldn't take any more. I needed to go and find out as much about Zelda as possible. I remember scouring the web looking for Zelda wallpapers and I came across this site. I had no idea what a forum was, so I had a browse. Zelda fans were talking about Zelda games. We even had a Zelda board! Wtf, this is amazing. Very little gardening work was done in that time. I had discovered the internet and I was going to discover the shit out of it! I posted on here and before I knew it I had a dozen posts. That quickly doubled again and again. Before I knew it, I had 100 posts. The counter has been rolling ever since. So, I stuck with the place. Somehow, I made it through the ranks and became Moderator and then Admin. I'm not going to lie when I say that it was actually a huge honour for me. I felt like I knew this place inside out and the people I was posting with weren't just avatars...they were actual people. Not just people on the internet, but friends. I made friends on here that I still talk to now. N-Europe has been a huuuuge constant in my life. I went to Uni and it was a huge step for me. I didn't have much internet during my first year, so I didn't have as much contact with this place. I still checked whenever I could. Things went bad for me with an ex-gf during my second year at uni and I tried leaving for a bit. I ended up coming back and played Super Mario Strikers with the people from here. It was only a game, but a very big fucking deal to me and I treasured playing it with people from here. I became more active on N-Europe again and started to feel a bit better again. Eventually, I started interacting a bit more with a member on here in bit of a more romantic way. The rest, as they say, is another story. The short of it is that we ended up going to Disneyland together, had a really fucking awesome time and now we're going to get married. Ahhh!

I'll be watching at least the Nintendo Direct/Conference/Whatever-the-fuck-they-call it, the Sony one and maybe EA's. Casually looking forward to it. Not super eager or anything yet. We had E3 plus Chinese food before, so I may make that into an annual tradition and do it again this year.

WHAT THE FUCK? How did I miss this? How much? When? Where? My heart.

Hnnnnnnggg. I'm practically sat here with my wallet out ready to buy the new DLC. Hoping for a Gwent edition with the rest of the card. June would be an absolute fucking disaster. No Man's Sky AND Witcher 3 DLC in the same month? Are they trying to overdose me on awesome or something? Hnnnngg, my heart.

Hmm. There are a few things that they've previously talked about that they haven't shown (at least I don't think so) that they do show in here. If you want to save yourself from anything spoilerific, I'd probably avoid. In fact, that's the last video I'll be watching, aside from maybe a video review. I want to just play it for myself now.

Game is preordered. I watched all of that IGN video and now I can't wait. The hype is back! Seriously, so fucking excited. I'm going to be an explorer. I'll be the James T. Kirk of the 21st Century.

Bring it the fuck on.

Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
Fierce_LiNk replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Pretty much agree with both of these. I remember @Ashley came down to visit and we played some three player NintendoLand. It was pretty fun and it suddenly dawned that we could be doing this most nights (along with N-Europe peeps) if the fucking thing had online in it. I liked the concept, I loved the Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion game and I saw the potential for the whole thing. But, the whole thing was short-lived. It would have been a real statement of intent from Nintendo to have realised this game with a fully fledged online mode so that your mates could jump into games with it. Unfortunately, they didn't do that. This should've been an even bigger deal than it was at launch. The online was pretty much all it needed. I've seen ideas for DLC here, too. Yup, that would've helped, too. So cloooooose. -
I used to play squash with @Eenuh but we had to stop due to it costing an absolute fuck-ton of money. I was the other way around, it was weights first for me and then squash second. I think once you get into a routine, your body adapts and it becomes less draining. I remember first starting out squatting and I'd be sore for days but now I can lift one day and play either football or squash the next with no real issues. Tennis and squash both rely on your back though, so I can see why deadlifting the day before would cause issues. We're all vain. Part of the reason we exercise is so that we look better. Doing something will be better than nothing. You could start out at home doing press-ups and then benching when you get down to the gym. The more consistent you are with it, the better your results will be. It took a long, long time before I was reasonably happy with how certain parts of my body look. I remember @The Bard referred to it as a bit like grinding in a RPG and he's right, that's exactly what it is. You will see results though. If you eat right, train smart and stick with it, it'll improve. It can be fucking demoralising at times looking in the mirror and realising that you've got a way to go. Unlucky! Fucking pullups. I'm going to have to work at them to get better. They're going in every workout now. It really is the GOAT routine. You get EVERYTHING done and it just saves so much time. Cheeeeers. I've altered it slightly so I've fiddled with the rep ranges and now do sets of 8. I stuck with 5x5 for ages then switched it to 3x5 (with a few working sets thrown in here and there) and I'm now doing 3x8. Just fancied a change and it's going well so I'll keep on with that for now.

I recently picked up The Walking Dead Compendium 3. It's amazing! I'm up to March to War and struggled to put this down.

Happy birthday!

Do the sports first if you enjoy them more and hit the gym as an extra. Twice a week would probably be fine due to you doing a full body workout. You'd be hitting every muscle group twice a week, so you'd see some changes there.

Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!

I'm sure the launch will be fine. It's the 2 or 3 (or 4) years after launch which concern me. -
You don't have to be a slave to the gym. I do full body workouts about 3 times a week, maximum of 4. I'd look into that personally. It means you can hit all of the big muscle groups multiple times a week without meaning you have to spend every hour in the gym. Since I've been on that, I've had more time to do other stuff. More time for games, more time to chill, more time to just enjoy life. If I were to give an example: Workout 1 - Squat, bench press, barbell row, shrugs, pull-ups, chin-ups, curls Then have at least one day's rest before doing: Workout 2 - Squat, overhead press, deadlift, stiff-legged deadlift, calf raises, dips. Then repeat to workout 1 after a day's rest. So, you're lifting about 3 times a week, sometimes four if you really want to. The bold ones are the ones I never change. I'll change over my accessory exercises occasionally or leave them out if pushed for time or do extra if I have the time. Legs have definitely come up looking decent, as have my chest and back. If legs aren't a priority for you, you could mix that routine up as you wish.

I know that I definitely bought the console in spite of the GamePad. I adored the SNES, loved the GameCube and had an excellent time with the Wii, so it made sense to get the next Nintendo console. I was going to get it for certain before I even knew what it was. It's the only place where you can get Zelda, Metroid, Smash, F Zero, etc.

I'M BACK ONCE AGAIN.... I'M THE RENEGADE MASTER...

Are we sure this isn't a spambot? Welcome back, you Sacrifice Of A Gypsy. -
3-0. Not even complaining. 1-0 would have been generous on our behalf.

Mata's done ok defensively, but he hasn't offered much going the other way because he's not got the pace to be box to box. He's clearly a number 10. Van Gaal doesn't make the obvious sub. I don't know if he's trying too hard to be clever or if he's just seeing something which the vast majority don't see. Maybe he's expecting Young to stretch the play and Martial to then cut in the space behind Young? I don't think that will work. I just want Martial to play up front. I want to see what he can do if he's right in the middle of that goal. Edit: 1-0 down. Think it'll stay that way.

It wouldn't be so bad if Van Gaal was trying to incorporate some kind of Total Football style. But, he's not doing that. The more time goes on, the more I'm convinced he'll be here next season.
