You all have accents, pft!! When I went to the meet in 08 i was really having to pay attention to understand what most of you were saying! I like that vague mid english accent (yorkshire?) its nice and soft compared to the horrible broad bastardised accents we have over here :P p.s odders has the best accent of all

Poll : UserCP, Forum Habits, Spellcheck?
Raining_again replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
i am offended by this awful poll. rez... I think this forum is way too small to justify those features. (by small I mean subforums and navigation rather than popularity) I use them on other massive forums, but I know here too well to need anything like that. -
who told you that...? Insurance is higher because there is a higher chance of a new driver (R plates in this country) having an accident. That in no way means you will most certainly have an accident A lot of new drivers are actually careful.... its more on the person than the experience. Like in Caris' example, that could have happened to someone on their first day of driving, or on their 40th year. -- I got rid o' my R plates in September, woo I can go over 45mph =D:yay: Get your test, seriously, best thing you can do. I don't know how I ever did without my car... especially if you work. Living in n.ireland you kinda have to rely on parentals to scoot you in and out, or use very limited bus services! So I was more than ready to be out driving! Took me just short of £2000 and from Feb-Sept to pass. (its good to get started late Feb when all the bad weathers clearing up)

i wouldn't say I love it, but I do like it and try to make time to watch it. Just because you dislike it, doesn't mean everyone else has to, spune. =P

why does twitter have to fuck up its authorisation method????? That's twice that my phone software has stopped working completely. Missing my twitter fix - especially scoop's nonsense, haha!

I'm thankful that I work for an ingoing call centre. I feel awfully sorry for these people that get abused day in day out. The scammers I have no respect for, but there are genuine folk trying to get by. Call centre money isn't exactly wonderful for the amount of abuse you get. I think a lot of people dont get the responsibility and pressure put under call centre staff by management... its all about statistics and targets. In my line of work we constantly have to hassle community nurses, who by nature are out on call with patients. We get abuse from patients, doctors and even the nurses themselves. And not forgetting the stupid fucking wolverhampton job centre who has a number very similar to ours, and we get 20 odd calls a day from them alone. With a starting wage that isn't far off minimum wage

There are three plans. You can eat potatoes, pasta, beans, lean meat/fish, veggies and fruit all you want, plus 1 of each healthy extras (one group is milk and cheese, the other is a fibre list - bread, cereal) the green plan is all of the above, except meat/fish is omitted and you get 2 of each healthy extra. red is all of above, minus the pasta, potatoes, bean, and again 2 of each healthy extra. (very like atkins only without completely cutting out carbs). Everything outside of that is "synned" using a points system. Encourages people to eat food that is of a lower density and more filling. Its very different to weightwatchers - they have a "point just about everything" attitude, whereas with slimming world you have more freedom. It sounds a bit too good to be true but it DOES work if you listen to your body when its full, and measure healthy extras and syns properly. And my butchers does slimming world sausages and burgers which are free :yay::yay:

It wasn't a haircut anyone with any sense would consider before bieber existed.. It just feels like a "i'm trying to go for the combover even though I don't need one" style.. Probably just me..

I only really block people when they become obsessively annoying... people that talk to me constantly... with very little content. Those conversations - howareyouimokaywhatyoudoingimnotdoingalot etc just do my head in. I've got more time for (most) real lifers & KNEErs... that's about it. them: "Hi what you doing?" *has status as busy* me: "I'm busy" them: "what you busy doing?" me:

a greasy kebab isn't so good alcohol or not :P nevertheless he's spot on. If you go out and drink lots of alcohol you're gonna consume extra calories regardless of the drink. You could be as well getting a couple of drinks that you enjoy rather than lots of "lower calorie" drinks that you don't. I have in the past had a diet drink (with no alcohol) every so often which helps consume less calories.

solid feeling of achievement today after having gutted out my room and reorganising everything. Had a good clear out and was really harsh on myself with regards to throwing out old stuff. So i've got oodles more space than I had and a nice tidy bedroom, wewt. I am however feeling hayfeverish thanks to all of the dust I uncovered... nice.

here and here there's quite a few good diet resources online weightwatchers wine is okay... on the old points scheme, its 1 point for a glass, yet normal stuff is 1.5 points (all wine). Its not that great a difference in calories. The weightwatchers stuff just has sweetner in it. If i recall a vodka glass is 0.5 a point and diet coke free, so vodka is still a better option in terms of calories. I reckon you should just go for it. Have the alcohol you want, and just avoid the very bad stuff like wkds and all that sugary stuff. Yeah cider has shit loads of calories but then if you think about it, its 3/4 times the size of a glass of spirit.

It took nearly £40 to fill my car!! I was raged! its normally on the better side of £30, but the price has just rocketed beyond words... this is my piddly little car too! (i'm guessing about 35litre tank) Luckily I only have to fill up about once every 6 weeks... score
-
yeah there's only something like 35/40 cals in a pub measure vodka, with diet mixer = win. If a pub doesn't serve diet coke i'd be giving them what for :P avoid juices because they are usually the full sugar kind, ciders and beers are just full of cals, and obviously wkds etc
