Well it does "work" because I used it for my works official documentation, its the only (simple) way to do it. =P -

Need some advice on buying a new/2nd hand laptop
Raining_again replied to The Lillster's topic in General Chit Chat
a good deal ain't such a good deal when it breaks within months of buying... which is a very real possibility with dodgy-as-fook cex. been burned too many times by them to consider spending anything more than a few quid there. you can get really good deals everywhere at this time of year... and you've got a decent enough budget... *shrugs* -
the thing with 3d is that not everyone can watch it.... if EVERYTHING goes 3d all us poor sods with only one eye or no depth perception are having to piss off and watch regular tv. I'm so not gutted about "missing out" but if everything is in this new expensive format (tv's and dvd's) i will shake my fist angrily! angrily!!!

Well you don't when you're driving or else you totally lose concentration on the road in front... its always just a glance. I had that problem when I had the prisms on my glasses, made it impossible to see when I looked anywhere but straight forward... I agree what an arsehole My doctor is a complete waaaaaaaaaanker. Manners of a cactus... seriously hes awful. I'm really thankful that I'm being referred to someone else to be honest :P

Need some advice on buying a new/2nd hand laptop

I don't recommend buying 2nd hand, god only knows how the previous owner treated it. And besides laptops don't have a huge life - you'd be lucky to get 3 years out of most laptops. If you follow your game spec guidelines you can't really go far wrong tbh, just do plenty of shopping around. -
Button to goto/open sheet in OpenOffice Calc?
Raining_again replied to Rummy's topic in General Chit Chat
the only way to do it is by inserting a link (not sure if its possible on buttons? as far as i'm aware the only way is through a basic link.) insert > hyperlink > document (left hand side icon) click on the circle thing beside target (in the target in document section) sheets > click on the sheet you want to link to > apply text is for the text you want to appear then close -
my doctor isn't 100% faithful that it can be cured - I've got muscles that have already been operated on and scar tissue is far less viable for fixing. Apparently the more its operated on the more risk there is of it getting worse rather than better. I'm just hoping this specialist has an idea of how this could work and if its worth a shot.. You should ask to see your specialist again for some advice Double vision is a real arse, especially when driving...

ffs. have to go see an eye specialist in Belfast now because apparently i'm "complicated" and adult squint correction is quite unusual The doc said the more surgery you've had in the past the more complicated it is to fix and the more risk of it going the other way and doing more harm than good.. Joy. So in other words he doesn't know if it can be fixed. So that leaves me with crap sight for longer... potentially forever

Needs to actually sound like the characters are speaking to each other rather than OVERACTING to make up for the lack of character response Animation is.... well it won't win you any awards... but its better than bad. The story would be very funny if there weren't so many dead spaces in the dialogue I do however really like the idea.

the Pandorica & Angel episodes were top notch, otherwise a bit meh. Karen does grate on me toooo but really none of the episodes with Matt in could ever compare to the Mars episode Tennant did. Just broke my damn heart.

I'm on the donating register... anything after that can be used to further science. Small ceremony (if I still have family when I die) and scattered somewhere peaceful. I just shudder at the idea of burying bodies in a box only a humans height below the surface...

that first defence stuff is really not very good for your immune system, its weakens it and if a serious bug comes along your body isn't as well equipped to cope.

cervical cancer in your anus? Right ok....

yeah we do the same, popping the cork at 8am, its a strange yet satisfying feeling! haha!

I think achievements might be.... subjective. Not everyone feels that having children is an achievement, same as perhaps career advancement doesn't appeal to others. Or anything for that matter. Different strokes for different folks I really do hate how people here do bang on about marriage and children, so I can see Oxi's point. (although my opinion is probably not as extreme)

my wee kitteh is really sick He's got a bad eye infection and cant even open his little eye... my heart is broken :(

Thanks for the reply Maybe I'm totally wrong or have a cloudy memory, but I feel like there has been a shift in what was acceptable as a new thread (with HWYD) and what is now acceptable (without it) and I just wanted clarification, which you did ever so eloquently!
